CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro Cityโ€” Police Regional Office 10 initiate the Solidarity Pact Signing for the 2025 National and Local Elections and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections held at the RHQ covered court, Camp Alagar, Cagayan de Oro City on February 5, 2025.

This initiative brought together key stakeholders, including COMELEC 10 Regional Director Atty. Renato L. Magbutay as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, represented by Assistant Regional Election Director Atty. Maria Dulce Cuevas-Banzon. Other attendees included BGen. Michele B. Anayron Jr., Commander of the 4th Infantry Division, Philippine Army; Commander Christie C. Cabuyaban, Acting District Commander of the Philippine Coast Guard 10; Mrs. Yvette T. Sunga, CESO, Officer-in-Charge of DILG 10, represented by Ms. Corazon S. Vicente, Chief, LGMED; Dr. Arturo B. Bayocot, CESO III, Regional Director of DepEd 10, represented by Dr. Federico P. Martin, CESO III, Assistant Regional Director; Ms. Sittie Rahma V. Alawi, Regional Director of DICT 10; Mr. Roberto E. Villaluz, Lay Coordinator of PPCRV; Mr. Nestor Banuag of NAMFREL; and representatives from NGOs and faith-based organizations.

Atty. Banzon underscored the importance of the solidarity pact in reinforcing election security, particularly in implementing Gun Ban, strengthening the โ€œKontra Bigayโ€ campaign against vote-buying and vote-selling, enforcing campaign rules, and maintaining non-partisanship.

The event highlighted the Reading and Signing of Solidarity Pact, reaffirming the shared responsibility of all the agencies in preventing election related crimes and safeguarding the integrity of electoral process.

In his message of support, PRO 10 Regional Director PBGEN Jaysen C De Guzman emphasized the vital role of collaboration in ensuring secure and orderly elections.

CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City โ€“ Through intensified law enforcement efforts, Police Regional Office 10 successfully apprehended 509 individuals during a one-month anti-criminality campaign from January 1 to 31, 2025, leading to significant breakthroughs in the fight against illegal drugs, wanted persons, loose fi****ms, and other criminal activities across the region.

PRO10 carried out 240 operations, which led to the arrest of 281 individuals and the confiscation of 4,353.328 grams of shabu, with a total estimated Standard Drug Price of PhP29,603,650.40.

In the heightened campaign against illegal gambling, PRO10 conducted 14 operations, resulting in the apprehension of 46 individuals and the confiscation of PhP23,516.00 worth of illegal gambling items.

In the relentless campaign against wanted persons, PRO10 arrested a total of 178 wanted individuals, which comprised 40 Most Wanted Persons and 138 Other Wanted Persons.

In the battle against loose fi****ms (Kontra Boga), PRO10 conducted 35 operations, resulting in the apprehension of 14 individuals and the confiscation, surrender, or recovery of 34 small arms and five light weapons. Additionally, 564 house visitations for Revitalized Katok (Bilang Boga) were conducted, leading to the voluntary surrender of 18 fi****ms for safekeeping.

Furthermore, in the intensified campaign against smuggled ci******es, PRO10 successfully conducted 26 operations, leading to the arrest of 30 individuals and the confiscation of PhP38,903,570.00 worth of smuggled ci******es. A total of 12 cases have been formally filed in court related to these operations.

CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City- Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) has reported a significant decrease in index crimes across Northern Mindanao, with a 15.11% decline recorded from January 1 to September 24, 2024, compared to the same period last year.

Index crimes, which include theft, r**e, physical injuries, murder, robbery, carnapping of motorcycles, carnapping of motor vehicles, and homicide, were down from 1,714 reported cases in 2023 to 1,455 cases in 2024.

Theft remains the most common index crime, with 477 cases in 2024, down by 69 cases (12.64%) from the previous year. R**e incidents also saw a significant reduction, with 54 fewer cases (14.88%), while physical injuries and murder dropped by 26 (10.40%) and 23 (11.50%) cases, respectively. Robbery incidents dropped by 35.03%, with 62 fewer cases reported. Carnapping of motorcycles saw a 20.21% decline, with 19 fewer cases, while carnapping of motor vehicles and special complex crimes remained steady.

Additionally, the overall number of crimes in the region decreased by 227 incidents, reflecting a 1.99% reduction compared to the same period last year.

Crimes statistics show that the total number of crimes fell from 11,412 in 2023 to 11,185 in 2024, demonstrating the PRO10โ€™s commitment to maintaining peace and order in the region.

PBGEN JAYSEN C D GUZMAN, Acting Regional Director of PRO10, attributed these accomplishments to the intensified efforts of PRO10 and the support of the local communities.

โ€œIn line with the vision of a safer Northern Mindanao under the โ€˜Bagong Pilipinasโ€™ initiative, our commitment to ensuring public safety and reducing criminality remains strong. We will continue to work closely with stakeholders and other law enforcement agencies to build a safer and secure environment for all,โ€ he said.
