THE NEW OFFICIAL LOGO
The Heritage
HED Official Student Publication
Behold the new logo of the official student publication of USI Higher Education Department, rich with symbols of legacy and wisdom.
USI Facade: At the center of the logo is the grand front view of our university, which has been around for 156 years. This facade signifies our rich history and strong commitment to academic excellence and service.
Two Feather Quills: Instead of traditional stone pillars, two feather quills hold up the facade. These old writing tools, with their feathers facing the cross, symbolize the marriage between faith and learning, and the lasting power of writing.
Golden Yellow Color: The logo shines with a golden yellow color, representing excellence, wisdom, and honor. This bright color reflects the high standards and great achievements of our University.
These elements tell a story of tradition, wisdom, and the ongoing quest for excellence and service to our beloved Vincentians, through authentic narratives and literature.
Over the years, the USI Higher Education Department official student publication has evolved, starting as the "Gazette," then becoming "The Facade," and most recently, "The USI Facade."
Now, we are excited to announce that the new editorial board and staff (EBS), under the editorial direction of the new moderator, have chosen to rebrand it as
"π§ππ πππ₯ππ§πππ."
Our student publication, previously known as "The USI Facade," represented the iconic 156-year-old facade of our institution that denotes its long-standing history and tradition. We are now transitioning to a new name, "The Heritage," which reflects a broader and deeper connection to our identity.
In the landscape of historical significance, our school is recognized as βThe Heritage and Historical University in Bicolβ and has been designated βA National Historical Landmark.β
While "The USI Facade" focused on the physical representation of our schoolβs front view, "The Heritage" encompasses the entirety of our school's history, achievements, and traditions. It symbolizes the collective memories, stories, and milestones that have shaped our school. The new name also honors the amazing former student journalists who rallied for genuine and compelling stories.
βThe Heritage" is a name that boxes both historical pride and contemporary relevance which signifies a living history that continues to evolve and inspire future generations.
Thus, "The Heritage" as our new publication name pays homage to our storied past, honors our designation as a historical landmark, and reinforces our ongoing commitment to excellence and tradition to serve our people, the Vincentian, with authentic narratives and literature.
Stay tuned, as tomorrow, August 2, we will reveal the new official logo of the USI-HED Student Publication.
