𝗖𝗢𝗦 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗸𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲

This year's freshmen from 𝗖𝗢𝗦 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗜𝗧 were formally welcomed yesterday 𝟭𝟵𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 at 𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗦. Starting at 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, the CIT'S orientation happened, while COS' orientation began at 1 in the afternoon and ended at 4 pm.

The orientation was hosted by Prof. Ken Russel Z. Gutierrez. The event started with a prayer, the national hymn, and the university's vision, mission, and goals. In the latter part of the orientation, everything that the university offers is introduced. From its faculty, certain events and services such as the library and dental services, and orgs were introduced to let the students know of their privileges. In addition, the contents of the student handbook that was given before entering were also explained, especially the code of conduct.

Heads up, COS students! Our very own volleyball team brings home another recognition.

In the 80th founding anniversary celebration, the sports event is one of the highlights of the week, which is full of activities and festivities for the students, professors, and staff.

The spirits of every team representing their college echo through the gymnasium of the Morong Campus as they play their hearts out in an intense volleyball match.

The team effort and amazing plays of our very own men's and women’s volleyball teams did not go to waste as they clinched 3rd place, contributing to the overall wins of the College of Science.

Each set, receive, service, and spike screams talent and passion that are truly commendable. Students watching were in awe at witnessing the amazing plays the team had shown. And this is not the last chance we will see it because, as we know, they will come back stronger.

Another exciting matchup was witnessed last August 12, 2024, to kick off URSM's 80th Foundation Week, the College of Science faced off against the College of Industrial Technology for the first game.

Despite their difficult initial phase, COS finds their rhythm by controlling the tempo, slowing down, and speeding up the game, against CIT’s strategy. This leads to scoring, rebounding, and even forcing turnovers from the College of Industrial Technology, who struggle to dictate the pace on their own terms.

The third quarter shifts the momentum as COS' Rabina dominates the third quarter with a strong rebounding display and Alvarez thrives into that slow-paced offensive strategy of College of Science.

In the tightly-fought game-opener, however, it was the College of Industrial Technology who took home the big W over the College of Science with a final score of 65-61, with a big help from CIT's Callos.

As URSM's foundation week comes to its peak, Palarong Panlahi takes students in a battle that represents their respective colleges. With each College rearing its best and worthy of representation, none of them was holding back. On the 14th of August, these activities were held to gain the attention of students who possess outstanding physical talents and have been given the spotlight to showcase it.

These displays of exhilaration and exhibition will come as memorable memories to players and spectators, alike. Also, not only students were able to participate, even the faculty of each department. With the culmination of these events, there will always be the one that comes at the top. Coming in at 1st place in the sack race on the student's division is the COE, COENG at 2nd, COS at 3rd, and CIT at 4th place. On the other hand, the winners of Kadang Kadang are as follows, COE at first place, COS in 2nd, COENG at 3rd, and CIT at 4th. COS also secured second place in the giant volley balloon and claimed victory in the tiyakad competition.

Every foundation week is a chance to commemorate the past and avoid the pressure of schoolwork. These activities were sure to be one of the highlights of the students and faculty, alike.

College of Science Student Body - COSSB . The mother organization of the College of Science, COSSB plays a pivotal role in representing student interests and coordinating activities that enhance our academic and social experiences.

COSAA College of Science Athletic Association . If you're passionate about sports and fitness, COSAA is the organization for you.

Student Researchers' Organization . For those interested in research, SRO provides a platform to engage in scientific inquiries and projects.

The Essence . The official publication of the College of Science. It offers a great opportunity for aspiring writers and journalists to hone their skills.

Samahan ng mga Mag-aaral sa Sikolohiya Morong Campus is an organization for students of Bachelor of Science in Psychology. It offers a supportive environment for psychology majors, organizing workshops, seminars, and discussions related to the field of psychology.

TIPA - URS Morong . The organization for Bachelor of Science in Computer Science students, TIPA focuses on nurturing tech talents. It provides opportunities for coding, software development, and participation in tech competitions.

Buklurang Gabay Patnubay - Human Services . An organization for Bachelor of Science in Human Services students. It offers volunteer opportunities, internships, and support for career development in human services.

Biology Students Association - URSM is for students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology. This organization supports biology majors through study groups, research opportunities, and events that deepen their understanding of biological sciences.

𝐔𝐑𝐒 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐅𝟐𝐅 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐅𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Student Federation Election was conducted in the Function Hall of University of Rizal System - Morong Campus on November 7, 2022, at 9:00am by the University Supreme Student Government (USSG) officers of 10 campuses together with university officials. Delegates are summoned to be physically present but USSG officers from Rodriguez happened to attend only via gmeet flashed on a white screen; nevertheless, all is well. Election guidelines, nomination, counting of votes were effectively observed and presented. The new set of URS Student Federation Officers from various URS campuses were known: President: Joeie Leanne D. Crismundo, Tanay Campus VP Internal: Ralph Xavier V. Talavera, Pililla Campus VP External: Ian V. Lonceras, Cainta Campus Gen. Secretary: Mhel Jayson Serapion, Taytay Campus Dep. Secretary: Joseph B. Vijandre, Taytay Campus Elven Fortaleza, Rodriguez Campus Treasurer: Katherine Llorente, Angono Campus Auditor: Kyla Rocelle Atutubo, Binangonan Campus PRO: Joseph A. Atienza, Tanay Campus Ginuel S. Buenaventura, Pililla Campus In the induction and oath-taking ceremony of new officers, University President Dr. Nancy T. Pascual shared her vision for these leaders and their possible contribution to the university system. Head of the Student Organization Unit, Mr. Jonathan Luris, shared the cruciality of leadership for solving issues, and he encouraged the officers to strive for the best with integrity for the students’ welfare. URS SF is the highest student organization of the university, and its president will serve as the new student regent of the university. President Crismundo discussed her plans in an interview. COS's Alpha Gaming Secure Its Spot in Semi-Finals of ML The representative of College of Science in Mobile Legends, Alpha Gaming secures its spot on the Semi-Finals after winning against College of Education's Panganiban Team during 2nd round and College of Industrial Technology's Baluyot Team during the 3rd round. Even though Alpha Gaming loses against College of Engineering's Team Rhotrix during the 1st game, they able to win the battle contrary to COE with 19-15 score. Rafael Pangilinan of Alpha Gaming being the MVP and leading scorer of the game. The third and last game for team Alpha was a close game but not nerve-wracking. The scoreboard tells it all as Alpha team scores 27 kills against the 13 kills of Baluyot team. With Joaric Villegas's Alice stomping the opposing team with his signature hero getting 10 kills overall. After winning against Baluyot team, the Alpha Gaming locked in their seed for the semi-finals. After a blowout success and qualifying for the semi-finals, Alpha Gaming will face against College of Engineering ML team tomorrow, which was rumored to be a force to be reckoned with.
