The Saluting Battery (Guns of Dignity), Army Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army rendered 21 Gun Salute during the Arrival Honors of His Excellency President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr for the celebration of the 89th Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Founding Anniversary at General Headquarters, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City on 20 December 2024.

During his remarks, AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S. Brawner Jr. emphasized the importance of unity and collective effort within the organization ensuring a better future for our fellow Filipinos.

The said activity aspires to present and highlight the military organization as a "transformed" institution through the parade and display of various military assets.

The Saluting Battery (Guns of Dignity), Army Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army rendered four sets of Gun Salute to the newly promoted Philippine Army Generals.
The Saluting Battery fired 54 rounds of 105mm Howitzer blank ammunition during the Arrival Honors of the newly promoted generals of the Philippine Army, including AAR’s former Commander Mgen Francis Anthony M Coronel PA on December 05, 2024, at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Andres Bonifacio, Taguig City. The seven (7) BGEN, five (5) MGEN, and two (2) LTGEN were accorded military honors with the presence of the Commanding General of the Philippine Army (CGPA) Ltgen Roy M Galido PA.
Once again, the Saluting Battery congratulates the newly promoted Philippine Army Generals on their well-deserved promotions and wishes them continued success in active service.

The Saluting Battery (Guns of Dignity) personnel, in partnership with different hospitals (UERM, Rizal Med, Medical City, and St.Lukes) and the Philippine Red Cross, participated in the PA-wide blood donation activity on August 25, 2024, with the theme "Dugo Ko, Dugo Namin, Alay ng Hukbong Katihan sa Sambayanang Pilipino" at Recarte Hall Philippine Army Officer’s Clubhouse, Fort Bonifacio Taguig City.

The PA-wide blood donation activity was organized as part of the Philippine Army's nationwide initiative to address the urgent need for blood donations. The event was planned to replenish these essential supplies and raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donation.

Fort Andres Bonifacio, Taguig City- BGEN FRANCIS ANTHONY M CORONEL PA, Commander of the Army Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army, graced the blessing of the enhanced Female Barracks, Exo’s Quarters, Gun Salute Room and Liaison Office of Saluting Battery (Guns of Dignity).

On 19 August 2024, The Saluting Battery conducted the blessing of its newly enhanced facilities officiated by CPT JULUIS A LAÑA, Chaplain Service, Philippine Army.

The Female Barracks, Exo’s Quarters, Gun Salute Room, and Liaison Office aim to provide space ensuring that it meets the specific needs not only for the SALBAT personnel but to the AAR as a whole. Aside from the appearance it aims to create a more welcoming and supportive environment for all military personnel.

Commander AAR commended the efforts of the SALBAT personnel in enhancing their facilities which boosts the morale and welfare of the personnel and contributes to the organizational development of the unit.

The Saluting Battery (Guns of Dignity) Army Artillery Regiment Philippine Army personnel participated in an HIV Awareness activity organized and conducted by the Army General Hospital (AGH) headed by Dr. Jane Aprille L. Bonacua at SALBAT Multipurpose Hall, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on this day August 19, 2024.

This event was part of the broader initiative to promote health education and awareness among military personnel, with a specific focus on the prevention, treatment, and stigma reduction associated with HIV. Saluting Battery personnel also proactively participated in the Voluntary HIV testing drive setting a positive example for others and reinforcing the message that regular health checks are crucial for maintaining overall well-being. PINNING OF UNIT PATCH TO NEWLY ASSIGNED PERSONNEL AND TURN OVER OF BATTERY FIRST SERGEANT

On 15 August 2024 the Saluting Battery (Guns of Dignity) Army Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army stationed at Fort Andres Bonifacio, Taguig City conducted Pinning of Unit Patch to the newly assigned personnel and Turn Over of Battery First Sergeant presided by CPT MICHAEL S BUMATAY (ART) PA, Battery Commander.

The Saluting Battery expanded its family as it formally affixed unit patches to its recently assigned personnel. This is an essential part of military service that fosters harmony and a collaborative atmosphere inside the unit.

Leadership transition was also observed when Tsg Gregorio M Dabu (Art) PA relinquished his role as First Sergeant, which was taken over by Msg Rolando Paciente (QMS) PA.
