A student failing in subject named “Yel”, is running to the waiting shed in a park because he is getting wet by the pouring rain. Three minutes after he arrived at the waiting shed, when a stranger named “Chim” accidentally splashed water to him causing him to get more wet.
Yel: Look what you did to me! Now I am surely going to fail in Biology, Philosophy, & PR2! My thesis and projects are all wet.
Chim: Well, it is not my fault that this day is cursed.
Yel: What did you say?!
Chim: i said “it is not my fault that this day is cursed”.
Yel: Please God, help me! (Minimal voice)
Chim: Lol. He don’t care about you.
Chim: Look, He let this day to be cursed.
Yel: You don’t have any idea what God made for you, didn’t you?
Chim: More lies, please?
Yel: You don’t appreciate God gave you.
Chim: Well, since i was a child, i never felt His love for me. My parents died in an accident leaving me to be alone and helpless.
Yel: Sorry. I didn’t know what you are going through.
Yel: Hi, I am Yel. I am introducing myself to you so that i can have your name in return.
Chim: it’s okay. I’m fine.
Chim: i am Chimfull but you can call me Chim.

The rain pours heavily making them to be stuck.*

Practice Task 2:
MY OWN THOUGHTS REFERRING TO THE STORY

The story is written well by the Author and his ideas were very detailed but not complicated. I loved reading this short story because it was short yet full of regrets and emotions. I remembered myself to the main character because i am also a part of LGBT community. I support this kind of story to be written and told because it gives us lesson and idea of how love affects us in real life.

“My biggest mistake”

I had a group of friends way back when i was in grade 9. We were all in the same class that time. During fourth quarter, we had an activity called “Philippine Festival” that will showcase our talents—especially in dancing—but in a competitive way. The winner will be granted for exemption to take periodic exam for MAPEH subject. We had no idea that this activity will changed our life forever. On weekdays, We were all practicing during free time. And from 8 am to 9 pm on weekends. We had to rushed because the start of our competition is near. I think we all enjoyed practicing during that time because we get to bond with each other. Our hard-work pave its way to win the said competition. We celebrated our victory being the third winner and congratulated ourselves. Many things happened during this hardships. I got a group friends who helped me enjoy my grade 9 days and was attached to them. We treated each other very well and felt like we were all siblings. One day, we were all exchanging humors in our group chat. I misinterpreted my friend’s joke and i responded sarcastically but didn’t think the impact to the receiver. She got so furious to me that we ended up having a below-the-belt conversations. I made her cry because i said something to her that changed her perception towards me. I apologized to her after realizing that i was rude to her. She accepted my apology but our fellowship changed. We never had a chance to bond like before and proceed to our different paths. This is one of my biggest mistakes i made in my current life. I let go of the people that was so important to me and that is my grade 9 friends. I learned that laughing with your dearest friends is definitely okay but laughing someone’s family background is not. I should have been more careful on what i said before because losing them was one of my biggest regrets in my life.
