A DJ's career depends on their connection to the music, their audience, and the DJ community. Acting above the music breaks those ties and leads to their downfall.

▶️Music: Losing passion and respect leads to stale sets and a lack of creativity.

▶️Audience: Arrogance creates a barrier, preventing the DJ from connecting with fans and leading to a dwindling fanbase.

▶️Community: Acting superior alienates peers, burns bridges, and stifles collaboration and growth.

Essentially, "being above the music" cuts a DJ off from the passion, the people, and the collaborative spirit that fuels their career. It's a recipe for career su***de.
