Dalawang Dekada: FEU Chorale's 20th Anniversary Concert
By: Feona Mae Supilanas

Twas a night beaming with passion and dedication for music.

Celebrating their 20th Anniversary and two decades of continuous musical excellence the FEU Chorale held a concert at the Main Auditorium of FEU Manila this November 9, 2024. The concert, titled Dalawang Dekada: 20th Anniversary Concert, serves as a page turner in their choir history as they welcome their new Artistic Director Mr. Roijin Suarez, who also conducted the performance.

This concert is said to be an expression of gratitude to the past, a celebration of the present, and a call to hope for the future. Currently, FEU Chorale is preparing for the Light of the North Coral Festival and Competition at Saint Louis University-Baguio on November 30; and to kickoff the holiday season, a fundraising concert on December 7 is to be held at British School Manila entitled, "Voices of the World: Christmas Edition". The group wholeheartedly asks the FEU Community to give their full support for the competition and to the groupโ€™s future endeavors

Honoring Excellence: A Testimonial Dinner for January and June 2024 Newly Licensed and Registered Architects
By: Gwyneth Cordero

"As architects, we see ourselves as custodians and stewards of the field and natural environment, committed to best practices in planning and design that are culturally, socially, and environmentally sensitive and responsible."
- Ar. Donate B. Magcale, FUAP, SFRIA, ASEAN Ar., APEC Ar.

A goal achieved is always worth celebrating, and the Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts (IARFA) Architecture Department did just that as they warmly welcomed back alumni ArkiTams in the university, this time as licensed architects. The celebration was held at the Mini Auditorium, Engineering Building on November 9th, 2024, with a Testimonial Dinner for the Batch January and June 2024 passers.

The evening featured an uplifting speech from Ar. Donate B. Magcale, FUAP, SFRIA, ASEAN Ar., APEC Ar., National President of the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP), FEU alumnus, and Trailblazer. His words of wisdom deeply resonated with the newly licensed architects as they embarked on their professional journeys, preparing them with guiding words on what the profession is about.

After years of hard work, dedication, and sacrifices, the journey to becoming a licensed architect was not easy, but it was undoubtedly rewarding. This achievement is truly a testament to the university's core values of fortitude, excellence, and uprightness, bringing these on toward their own journeys as Tamaraw graduates.

Congratulations, Tamaraw Architects! You all are an inspiration to everyone.
Padayon!

"The myths and legends in the Philippines are alive up to this day because it is relevant as these stories are common experiences and scenarios in our country as it was back then both from the lens of political and societal relations."

In the recent Manila Bulletin Sketchfest 2024, first-year Fine Arts major in Studio Arts student, Bea Katrina Fulgencio, was hailed the Grand Winner in the Exhibition Category.

With the theme, ALAMAT: Mythical Stories and Legends of the Philippines, the winning piece titled "Ang Silid nang Malaman ko ang mga Malikhaing Ulat ng Pilipinas", highlights mythical and legendary stories that transcend fiction, reflecting deeper truths of reality.
