She says she was surprised by the star treatment that pageant beauty queens receive in the Philippines.

"The culture there is awesome. Beauty queens are "triggered" like stars. I asked about this because I thought it was just ridiculous sometimes, when people were howling and kissing my hands. We had a police es**rt and all kinds of confusion," she said, adding that while she had previously participated in an even bigger pageant, Miss Universe, where there were certainly huge fans, the reaction had been nothing like this.
