A new chapter in your lives will soon unfold
I want to thank you for the memories I’m now able to hold,
For the words of wisdom that I’ll treasure like a gem, too
I hate to say goodbye, but I’ll always wish the best for you.
In this poem, I’ve got a few reminders
As you struggle, I hope you won’t compare yourself to others
It might be a new scary world out there,
But I’m sure there’s nothing you can’t bear!
Don’t be afraid of not being the cream of the crop
Sometimes, it’s not even important who’s on top.
And I know pressure is going to be inevitable,
But follow your mind and heart, do what’s attainable.
I’m sure you’ll able to get there little by little,
Until you finally say, “I won my battle.”

There’s more I would want to add,
However, your experiences along the way will help you withstand
I’ll always be here to support and understand
You can count on me, thank you for all the helping hands you lended
I’ll make you proud and continue what you’ve started
I hope our friendship stays the same just like back then
I’ll see you when I see you, ‘til we meet again!

On this day, January 9, we celebrate the Feast day of Black Nazarene. The feast allows and expects Catholic Filipinos to join on “Traslacion” as devotion to the Black Nazarene.

The Traslacion 2025 is by the theme of: Mas MABUTI ang PAGSUNOD Kaysa PAGHAHANDOG (1 Sam. 15:22) sa mga UMAASA kay Jesus. It follows its usual procession from Quirino Grandstand to Quiapo Church.

As we celebrate, may we all reflect and unite through our faith and Jesus Christ’s love and sacrifices for us. Viva, Señor!

You failed at first,
But you kept your thirst for determination.
It's hard I know,
To keep up with such expectations.
But just continue to fail,
It’s part of our life.

We learn from it eventually,
Realise that nothing’s too late,
To realise that always get up,
Stand on your ground,
And battle this failure,
In the end we succeed.

Our struggles and efforts,
Our restless nights and tired life,
You’ll get out of it grasp,
That’s holding you too long.
Ignore the rumours of others,
They just believe and give in to failure.

But you stood up and got up,
Showing no fear,
You showed strength that no one else conquered.
It’s a mission accomplished,
One so true in a journey of battle,
And it's a trip to success.

Today, December 30, we commemorate the patriotism and life of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. This historic day marks the 128th year since his sacrifice and fight for freedom and justice in our country— allowing us Filipinos to uphold and live upon the honor and vision of his legacy to strive for a dignified society and for a better Philippines.

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗡𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗥𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗦 | On November 15, 2024, the Speech Club and English Subject Area of the Adamson University - Basic Education Department held its Extemporaneous Speech Contest on grades 7 - 10, at the JP AVR. With students discussing and delivering impromptu speeches about their stances on various topics and concepts, evaluated by judges from the English Department.

Each grade level has 3 winners. For the grade 7 level, Xavie Eunice Panganiban from Bl. Nicoli won first place, followed by Summer Shin from Bl. Tobar, and Khael G. Zubiri from Bl. Caron. The first place title of the grade 8 level goes to Nathalie Snow V. Mann of Bl. Irigaray, followed by Carl Anthony R. Temones of Bl. Oliveira, and Alexa Eljay Retome of Bl. Gruyer.

While Alonzo Chayan W. Guya of Grade 9, Bl. Demjanovich received the first place award, followed by Jharyce Dace V. Hernandez of Bl. Goyeneche, and Fatima Hassan B. Al Rashed. Lastly, Sofia P. Indefenzo of Grade 10 - SVP was titled with first place, followed by Trisha Louise Altasin Of SJP, and Jean Louisse Sanong of SLDM.

𝐊𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐒 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐅 | 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝗳𝗮𝗿

I’d watch as little girls and their fathers run free,
Witness faces so bright– it could light a tree.
How I wish it was me.

Me, who hung Christmas lights and shared my dreams,
Hearing my father’s laughter through the keeps;
We, who used to sing beneath the stars,
Dreaming of the wonders afar;
You, who’d wrap my sorrows in red ribbons and smile–
I haven’t seen that kind of look in a while.

He wasn’t just a father, but a friend.
His laugh– like bells, would fill the room,
A love so vast, it could be contained;
Not by ribbons, nor by Christmas bloom.

“Blood runs thicker than water” They say,
Yet, both run cold on a yuletide day.
I long to rewind, to grasp what’s now rare,
But it’s faint, a sound in the air.
Wooshed away by the present– the noise, the pace,
It leaves no room to reminisce.

From afar, I watch as life carries on,
A bittersweet story of what was here, now gone.
Though longing stirs and my tears freeze,
In the silence of the night, I cherish its breeze.

It's that time of the year once again; the season of giving, true happiness, and of course, the day our savior was welcomed into the world! The day that a little child was born in a humble and lowly manger. He is the reason for the many festivities; our Messiah.

This holiday season, let us all find pleasure in the beauty of Christmas and celebrate this significant day with our families and friends. Christmas is not only about the sparkling tinsels, twinkling lights, and gifts wrapped to perfection. It is all about the love shared, bonds of every family, and the thoughts that count in each present! Christmas is all about the presence of our loved ones; they're the presents we receive for the holidays.

The little ones are shining brighter than ever, through their colorful and unique costumes during the parade! Along with the “Ates” and “Kuyas” of the Adamson University - BED, representing their classes and sections, giving away sweet treats for the sweet little ones!

Precious princesses and princes, sparkling fairies, tiny yet strong superheroes, handsome pirates, and more, not only brought smiles and laughter to everyone’s faces but also made them feel like their imaginations had come to life.

The BMC enjoyed and experienced a day of life-coaching that can be applied to our students. Your enthusiasm in the afternoon from 1-4PM is a testament of dedication, sacrifice and service. Thank you so much Sir.

Let us welcome Mr. Anthony Philip Robles, President of First Services Company, on three ocassions. Expect him to be on November 25, Monday to share his known expertise on clientele service, with the theme "Transforming Interactions into Lasting Impressions" to the Non Teaching Staff and Auxiliary Personnel (NTSAP) of Adamson University Basic Education Department at FRC 202, Accreditation Room.

He will also be here on November 27, Wednesday, to meet and be with the faculty of Adamson University Basic Education Department from 8-11AM to impart aboout “The Dynamic Classroom: Teaching with Passion and Innovation” and from 1-4PM on the same date with the BMC members about “Leading by Serving: The Power of Servant Leadership”.
