LITERARY| 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝘼𝙗𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙢 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙮 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙪𝙨?

Absurdism is an existentialist philosophy closely associated with a French philosopher named Albert Camus. One of its concepts is admitting the fact that life is absurd (or irrational, or in other words, so hard to understand) and how humans can find meaning in the midst of adversity and absurdity.
Albert Camus emphasized more about Absurdism in his written work entitled "The Myth of Sisyphus," an allusion to Greek mythology about the story of Sisyphus who was punished because he tricked the gods to escape death. His punishment was that he was condemned to roll the boulder up the mountain until it reached its peak, only to find out that the boulder rolled back downward causing him to forcefully roll the boulder again and again; a never-ending cycle of pushing the boulder! Like the boulder, sometimes we question ourselves if there can still be meaning in our life, especially realizing that life itself is also like the boulder, that life is a cycle; we wake up, we eat, go to school, take a rest, and then sleep, and then back again and again. We question ourselves, "Will I be stuck in this forever?"
However, Camus added something. He said, "Imagine that Sisyphus was happy." This teaches us to face the absurdity of life with strength and courage. Albus Dumbledore said this quote in one of the Harry Potter movies, "Happiness can be found even in the darkness of times if only one knows how to turn on the light." For me, absurdism is neither an optimistic nor a pessimistic viewpoint in life, but a balance that leads us to a realistic perspective. It teaches us not to deny but to accept the reality of life as absurd and hard, and also to believe that hope is within our reach. Our strength, courage, and passion are a blazing fire that kindles the light of hope amid the darkness of despair. We cannot control these harsh realities of life but we are in control of ourselves! Despite the sufferings, struggles, or adversities, we still have the power to decide—to be brave and strong; to fight against this absurdity. As humans, we always find the meaning of life which gives us a sense of purpose even if we're merely a person living in this big world with many people and nations that cannot be counted like sand.
We can learn to be happy, strong, and brave because of our innate power to decide for ourselves. Being happy, strong, and brave is a decision that can help us face the absurdity of life. If not, they are merely just feelings, aspirations, zeal, or enthusiasm that fade away.
So let's find the light, our essence, our purpose in this world — the very reasons we live for and the boundless dreams to reach. The art that has kept us alive despite the darkest pits of history.

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘼𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙐𝙣𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜

Oftentimes, we succumb to the relentless urge of knowing everything and all those things around us, to learn and hardly engage ourselves with every facet of existence, regardless of the exhausting toll it takes on our minds and spirits. Quenching the thirst for knowledge is a noble pursuit, but to drink deeply from every stream can leave one parched and weary. The weight of the world's wisdom, though alluring, can crush the spirit and dull the senses. A mind that drinks too deeply from life's well, both pure and poisoned, risks drowning in its depths. And there, the power of Unlearning comes within;

Unlearning is an arduous and cathartic process of life that liberates our soul, where we cast aside the heavy burdens that this life may bring, shedding the excess baggage, grudges, and withered remnants of obsolete thoughts. It is where we let go of negative thoughts and unpleasant behaviors, where we cast off these mental chains that make us feel tired, weak, and helpless; it is where we restart and keep the good ones. And there, we experience a profound sense of relief, a cleansing of the spirit, a healthier mindset, and a more glowing aura than before. This catharsis allows us to embrace new possibilities, to grow, and to evolve into our truest selves.

In life, too much of something is dangerous, as well as in the learning aspect. Let us not forget to pause and enjoy the moment of embarking on a voyage of discovery, to breathe, and to let everything fall into place. In this lifetime, choosing what to cherish and what to forsake is the best path to take, to learn and to be happy is the best choice to make, because in a labyrinth of uncertainty;

Unlearning is an art that makes us certain to balance life, learning, and the line in between.
