Faith Working Through Love
Galatians 5:6
“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.”
Paul was alarmed when there were people in the congregation that instruct others to be circumcised physically to obey the law or to be counted for Christ, he admonished them that it is not so according to the will of God for physical circumcision is no longer needed to be accepted and saved by God for that’s a human effort and not of faith, but what matters is the circumcision of the heart which speaks about true transformation of the heart when one made Jesus their Lord. They can only be accepted and be saved if they receive the grace of God for their salvation through FAITH in Jesus Christ as Lord. Also I liked what Paul said about faith that is working through love. It means that our love for God is the only motivation of our faith towards God. If we truly love God we will have faith in Him and not through our human efforts and if we really have faith in Him we will love Him the most and His words. #devo #FaithWorkingThroughLove

Who Is God.. 2 Samuel 22:32-34 “For who is God, but the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God? This God is my strong refuge and has made my way blameless. He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights..”. David further declared in his deliverance song who God is---- the Lord-- the Rock-- the Strong Refuge-- the One who made my way blameless-- the One who made my feet securedAnd these reminds me how my God must be made Lord who takes over and calls the shots in my life. He is the Rock means He is my sole foundation in my Christian life existence and purpose. He is my Refuge in times of troubles. He has intention to mold me to be like Him in blameless character or ways and in purpose as He ordered my steps. He has secured my feet which means by His grace and empowerment of His Spirit, I can fulfill faithfully His purpose for me until He comes back again. That’s who my God is.#devo #WhoIsGod
This God..2 Samuel 22:31 “This God—His way is perfect; the word of the LORD proves true; He is a shield for all those who take refuge in Him.” This God that David confidently testified and declared in his life is the same God for us today. Thanks be to Jesus who because of His finished work on the Cross and when we believe in Him and surrender our lives to Him by making Him our Lord and Savior, we do not only have eternal life but our relationship with this God has been restored. This God whose way is perfect is our God who can transform and perfect us into His likeness and guided by His ways not by of our own will nor our own effort but by His Spirit in us, so therefore, we let go of those lies and thoughts we have believed in the past that we cannot change or that it is difficult for us to change. This God whose Words are true, we then can depend on that absolute standard of truth and not on what the world says nor what people says about us nor what we say about ourselves. This God who is our shield, our protection from any schemes of the enemies against us, we then can claim and experience that as we take refuge in Him and put our faith on Him, our sovereign God!#devo #ThisGod

You Are My Lamp 2 Samuel 22:29 “For you are my lamp, O LORD, and my God lightens my darkness.” A lamp provides light at night or lightens or illuminates a dark place. It provides help to find clearly what path to take. It warms the place. In the same manner, David declared that his God is like a lamp in his life. He gives us the clarity and the guidance and the warmth of His love and presence. Are you in a dark place in your spiritual life right now? Are you lost and need clarity and guidance? Call upon Him, make Him Lord, make Him Your lamp today so that His holy warm Presence can expose and consume repented sins and darkness in your heart and receive His guidance and a time of refreshing from the Lord.#devo #youaremylamp
Dealt and Rewarded Me 2 Samuel 22:21-25 “The LORD dealt with me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he rewarded me. For I have kept the ways of the LORD and have not wickedly departed from my God. For all his rules were before me, and from his statutes I did not turn aside. I was blameless before him, and I kept myself from guilt. And the LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in his sight. Most of the time we are too focused on and wary of the consequences of our sins and disobedience to God, which is right to know, however we seldom focus on the blessings and lot we can have when we obey and do what is righteous before God. David mentioned it in his song of deliverance. He knew that God will deal with him and reward him when he keeps on obeying His Words and walking righteously before God’s eyes. I am encouraged to continue walking by His grace and the leading and conviction of the Holy Spirit for me to be able to obey and do what is right in His standard, and also learn to discern, reflect and be thankful always for the blessings that God has brought into my life because of His grace and faithful providence and rewards. Thank You Lord! #devo #dealingandreward

Working Salvation. Psalms 74:12. Yet God my King is from of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth. It is God’s character to save. The psalmist believed that his God is his King, and that his King from of old, which he may refer to that His God is the King since the beginning of time, is working salvation for him against his enemies. Are you in the experiencing attacks from the enemy of our souls? Are you in the midsts of problems and challenges in life now? We can call upon our God, the King of old, who are faithful to save us, if we believe and trust Him fully over our lives. #devo #workingsalvation
Sin For Destruction Ezekiel 28:2-10. ““Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, Thus says the Lord GOD: “Because your heart is proud, and you have said, ‘I am a god, I sit in the seat of the gods, in the heart of the seas,’ yet you are but a man, and no god, though you make your heart like the heart of a god— you are indeed wiser than Daniel; no secret is hidden from you; by your wisdom and your understanding you have made wealth for yourself, and have gathered gold and silver into your treasuries; by your great wisdom in your trade you have increased your wealth, and your heart has become proud in your wealth— therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Because you make your heart like the heart of a god, therefore, behold, I will bring foreigners upon you, the most ruthless of the nations; and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom and defile your splendor. They shall thrust you down into the pit, and you shall die the death of the slain in the heart of the seas. Will you still say, ‘I am a god,’ in the presence of those who kill you, though you are but a man, and no god, in the hands of those who slay you. You shall die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of foreigners; for I have spoken, declares the Lord GOD.”” The nation of Tyre has been judged and punished by God in the time of prophet Ezekiel. Their leader and the nation have committed one of the abomination unto the Lord-- pride. They make themselves like god due to their beauty, wisdom and wealth. I am reminded that pride truly leads to idolatry and goes to the path of destruction. Some says pride is the idolatry of the self. Father God, search my heart today and forgive me if there any sin of pride in my heart. Spirit of God empower me to be like Jesus in humility and grace. In Your Name, Amen. #devo #prideandidolatr

Boasting On Weaknesses
2 Corinthians 11:30
If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness.
Paul knew that it comes with the territory of being persecuted and suffering when fulfilling God’s purpose and mission for his life. He shared to Corinth believers in his letter to them (on this 2 Cor. 11:16-33) the detailed sufferings he had experienced for the cost of bringing the Gospel to the gentile world or the lost. Despite those persecutions that he was able to overcome and able to remain standing, Paul knew that he can only boast nothing on his own merit like his own background knowledge nor strength but rather he boasted of his weakness so that people will see and know that it is all about God carrying him along who made all the mighty deliverance and strength and empowerment available from the Spirit of God working on his weaknesses.
Humility and faith are both evident in Paul ‘s make, and that’s what encouraged me to imitate every time there are testings and every time God powerfully saved me. Let my weaknesses cry faith in Him alone, as much as let my victories cry honor and glory in Him alone.
