Matutong magpakumbaba.
Babaan ang Pride.
at β€œKUNG NEGOSYANTE KA, MAKAKARELATE KA”

My Business yan madaming pera yan.

"According to Psychologists, there are four types of Intelligence:

1) Intelligence Quotient (IQ)
2) Emotional Quotient (EQ)
3) Social Quotient (SQ)
4) Adversity Quotient (AQ)

1. Intelligence Quotient (IQ): this is the measure of your level of comprehension. You need IQ to solve maths, memorize things, and recall lessons.

2. Emotional Quotient (EQ): this is the measure of your ability to maintain peace with others, keep to time, be responsible, be honest, respect boundaries, be humble, genuine and considerate.

3. Social Quotient (SQ): this is the measure of your ability to build a network of friends and maintain it over a long period of time.

People that have higher EQ and SQ tend to go further in life than those with a high IQ but low EQ and SQ. Most schools capitalize on improving IQ levels while EQ and SQ are played down.

A man of high IQ can end up being employed by a man of high EQ and SQ even though he has an average IQ.

Your EQ represents your Character, while your SQ represents your Charisma. Give in to habits that will improve these three Qs, especially your EQ and SQ.

Now there is a 4th one, a new paradigm:

4. The Adversity Quotient (AQ): The measure of your ability to go through a rough patch in life, and come out of it without losing your mind.

When faced with troubles, AQ determines who will give up, who will abandon their family, and who will consider su***de.

Parents please expose your children to other areas of life than just Academics. They should adore manual labour (never use work as a form of punishment), Sports and Arts.

Develop their IQ, as well as their EQ, SQ and AQ. They should become multifaceted human beings able to do things independently of their parents.

Finally, do not prepare the road for your children. Prepare your children for the road."

Everything is possible..

You might have read the news about a Pinay shamed for calling Charles & Keith a luxury brand.

Let’s talk about privilege. πŸ”₯

1) We are both equal and unequal.

I wasn’t born privileged. Especially that time.

β€˜Yung kuryente at aircon na nakatulong sakin sa pagrereview nung buong β€˜yun was a privilege.

2) To a privileged person, there are blind spots: He/She wouldn’t know about his/her privilege unless someone points it out to the person. Or only when he lost the privilege.

Hindi sila aware duon.

Hindi sila β€œvillain,” masamang tao o greedy.

In fact, andaming pinanganak na mayaman na mabuti ring tao.

Pero hindi sila aware sa privilege.

I had a schoolmate in college from Cebu who has never ridden a jeepney.

When a friend of mine lost his scholarship when he failed to meet quota requirements, that’s when he realized that he has wasted such a rare privilege.

It’s a privilege we take for granted.

In fact, most lottery winners became bankrupt in the end.

3) Attitude of Gratitude.

What happened to that teen girl opened our eyes to being grateful to people who help us, for opportunities coming our way, and for the life changes that are happening.

For the better. Umuulad tayo. Umuusad.

4) Let people enjoy and have fun.

5) Luxury is relative.

Luxury for me ang makatulog nang matagal bilang zombie ako.

Luxury for me ang makatravel sa iba’t-ibang bansa/lugar, dahil dati hindi ko nagagawa at nagiisip pa san kukuha ng pangtuition fee.

Luxury for me ang nakabili ako ng mamahaling gamit dahil dati hindi ko afford β€˜yun.

Luxury for me kapag ang sapatos lumagpas na ng Php1k. Dati kasi hanggang Php100 to Php200 lang kaya ko.

Iba-iba tayo ng definition ng luxury.

Bottomline, let’s be good stewards of everything we have.

Wala naman kasing talagang sa atin.

Everything belongs to God.
