Before I address red flags to look out for on the dating apps, try to keep it in mind once you’ve been made aware of them.

So often, people focus too much on red flags in their search for love, versus focusing on the person they are actually looking for. But it's also good to be cautious in meeting someone online.

Here are seven red flags you don't want to ignore when you meet someone new online:

1. They ask you for money
2. They warn you about themselves

It's not easy to deal with painful emotions head-on. But it's a key to good health and well-being physically, mentally, and spiritually. If we don’t deal with pain when it occurs, it will resurface as compounded emotional toxicity later on — showing up as insomnia, hostility, and anger, or fear and anxiety.

You can learn how to recognize painful emotions right away and how to effectively "metabolize" and eliminate pain.

1. Shake it out.
2. Beat up a pillow.
3. Cry.
4. Do yoga.
5. Try somatic therapy.
6. Walk.
7. Scream.
8. Breathe.
9. Get grounded.

We all like to help others. But, when it comes to mental health, what steps can we take to support ourselves? Here are some tips to elevate your mood, relax and enjoy your life:

1. Get at least eight hours of sleep a day

2. Eat a healthy diet. Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon, tuna and mackerel, cut the risk of dementia and mental decline

3. Keep yourself active. At least 150 minutes of exercise a week (or 30 minutes daily) is ideal
Exercising not only keeps you physically strong, it also reduces or prevents stress.

4. Interact with others. Talk to another person for at least 10 minutes daily.

5. Pick up a new skill or hobby

6. Get a mental workout. Scrabble or mahjong anyone?

7. Do something for others. This is the best remedy when you’re feeling down

8. Learn to manage stress. Shift your mindset and make a list.

9. Avoid alcohol, ci******es and drugs. They are not the solutions to problems

10. Laughter is the best medicine. Laugh yourself silly and have fun whenever you can!
