𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | Alamath celebrates ‘Pi Day’

Alamath Club embarked their first-ever ‘MATHLETICS’ event with Senior High School (SHS) students from different clubs, in celebration of Pi Day on March 14, 2025.

MATHLETICS came into success with 10 representatives from each participating clubs, namely: Alamath, B-Tech, Code Arts, Scifire, SDGYC, Sports Badger, Teatro Anyo, and TNC.

The event tookplace campuswide requiring the participating clubs to finish the 10 stations entitled: “TRI-GOal,” “XOXO, ALAMATH,” “Lastik Cup,” “Happy Pi Day,” “AlphaMATHical,” “Ready, Equals, Throw,” “Train, Train, Tube, Tube!”, “Mathfield,” “Tabo, Timba, Tama,” and “OctoBall.”

The participating clubs were challenged to use both of their physical and critical thinking skills while accomplishing the tasks in every station of the MATHLETICS.

As the scores were tallied, Sports Badger ranked first with 66 points, followed by Alamath with 55 points, and Scifire with 52 points.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | STI College Lucena students run for a cause

A total of 2,332 Senior High School (SHS) and Tertiary students participated in the STI College Lucena Fun Run for a Cause on March 8.

The event aims to support the Project MARSO: Mobilizing Action for Reforestation, Support, and Outreach in Ibabang Talim Integrated High School.

The participants gathered at the STI Academic Center Lucena's parking lot at 4:00 in the morning, where they began registration and warmed up with a Zumba dance session.

The excitement peaked at 4:15 in the morning, as the participants embarked on a 3-kilometer run, passing through three color stations.

Spearheaded by the National Service Training Program (NSTP), the annual event was concluded with the most-awaited 'Basaan Party' held at the STI Academic Center Lucena's parking lot.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | STI College Lucena kickstarts Tagisan ng Talino at Sining 2025

To foster academic excellence and healthy competition, STI College Lucena held the Tagisan ng Talino at Sining (TNT and TNS) local competitions on March 6, 2025.

TNT and TNS allows Senior High School (SHS) and Tertiary students to showcase their creativity and intellect in different competitions: Essay does it, Stand up and deliver, All in place, Chef Xpress, Worth the Whisk, Mix 'N Flair, Director's Cut, Shutter's Best, Code Fest, and Travelogue.

The winners of the competition wil represent STI College Lucena in the Cluster Level.

Third year Bachelor of Science in Culinary Management student Alyssa Bamba topped the Tagisan ng Talino at Sining - All In Place Competition after placing first among other competitors.

First timer Samuel Salico came second overall third year John Bryan Anda settled at third in the said competition.

𝐓𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐍𝐒 𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐒 | Roqueza, Mateo, Nayra cooks to perfection for Local Chef Express Competition title

Second year Bachelor of Science in Culinary Management students John Leo Roqueza, Cedrick Mateo, and Vince Nayra served the best dish to claim 1st place in the Local Tagisan ng Talino at Sining - Chef Express competition.

Meanwhile, SHS representatives Princess Gustane, Stephanie Morados, and Mark Rogen Alvarez came close and secured second place putting Aldrick Guisadio, Jericko Flores, and Pierce Matimat at third place.

𝐓𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐍𝐒 𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐒 | Aragon, Catalla, Santos take top spot in Local Director's Cut Competition

Bachelor of Multimedia Arts 3rd year students Aivan Aragon, Robert Catalla, and Mhikko Santos won 1st place to book their ticket to the Cluster Tagisan ng Talino at Sining Director's Cut Competition.

Clarisse Valencerina, Cyril Padronsolan, and Darlyn Rivera (BMMA IV) also showcased their film making talents and placed second while youngsters Justine Lee Estinor, Chris Perez, and Oz Kenshin Rodas of Grade 12 Digital Arts finished on third place.

4th year John Reniel Collantes of Bacheler of Multimedia Arts bested other competitors to secure his spot to the Cluster Tagisan ng Talino at Sining - Shutter's Best Competition.

Meanwhile, Micaela Sarmiento (BMMA IV) placed second while Marcus Baronia settled at third in the said competition.

Charles Castillo bagged the first place; while Sarah Mae Vendiola and Jovelyn Mendoza won the third place.

Harvey Lord L. Millares and Jared O. Cadiz, Bachelor of Science in Culinary Management (BSCS) third-year collage students, showcased their talents in bartending during the Tagisan ng Talino at Sining - Mix N' Flair Local Competition on March 6, 2025.

Milares snatched the first place; while Cadiz claimed the second place.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) students developed a Mobile application that features an authenticator and book inventory for librarians during the Tagisan ng Talino at Sining - Codefest Local competition on March 6, 2025.

Jesus Anthony Alarcon, Lawrence Ballester, and Sean Michael Dela Roca (ALTF4) placed first; while Al-Yhasser Calanda, Howard Alan Sanchez, and Manveer Singh (Java-Rice) placed second.

Modred Ivo Hill, a second-year BSTM student, won first place in the Tagisan ng Talino at Sining - Travelogue Competition, rendering his spot for the Cluster Level.

Along with him were Jhon Cholo Literal and Thea Montero, who procured the second and third place, respectively.

STI College Lucena students showcased their reasoning skills as they spontaneously voiced out their thoughts in the Tagisan ng Talino at Sining - Stand up and deliver competition on March 6, 2025.

Yanycah Salcedo grabbed the first place; while Shawn Kyle Adajio and Arvinel Vilegaño claimed the second and third place respectively.

𝐓𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐍𝐒 𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐒 | ANRAINA notches first in Think Quest

Out of the 45 competing groups from Senior High School and Tertiary STI College Lucena students, Annika Sophia R. Lagazo, Lorraine Gail M. Paglicawan, and Athena Kristine G. Combalicer (ANRAINA) scored the highest on the Tagisan ng Talino at Sining- Think Quest Local Competition.

According to Lagazo, Paglicawan, and Combalicer, they felt like they had no chance of winning against 44 teams; but, it was a fun and unreal experience. They also shared their excitement in representing the school at STI College Calamba.
