Yesterday, the Ronin bridge has been exploited for 173,600 Ethereum and 25.5M USDC. With that, both Ronin bridge and Katana Dex have been halted.

SEASON 20 IS OVER!

Over 2,600,000 players participated in Season 20! The prize pool of 117,676 AXS was our largest ever, with a current value of almost 6,000,000 USD (₱314,382,000.00)

As we prepare to transition to Axie Infinity: Origin, we know that many of you are curious about the future of this classic battle mode. We are currently planning a one-month offseason before starting Season 21, which will most likely be the final season of Axie Infinity: Classic.

AXS rewards for Season 20 will be claimable through your marketplace dashboard later this week. We will be conducting a final review of suspicious activity and win-trading before enabling claiming.

Enforcement Action Taken Against Recent Cheaters

> Review of the Details
It was brought to our attention, via the community members, that some accounts had an abnormal win rate and had quickly climbed to the top of the leaderboard. Furthermore, the replays for these accounts could not be watched.
Upon closer inspection of these accounts, our team discovered a bug in the game client that caused the opponent to fail to load into the game. This resulted in a surrender and a free win for an account playing with a bugged

> Course of Action
We have reset the MMR to 1200 for an account with 10+ consecutive wins using a bugged Axie.

> The Numbers
We reset the MMR of 124 accounts.

> Internal Process
It took some back and forth between internal teams(Support and Data) to decide upon the right threshold around detection and to choose the appropriate mechanism of enforcement (punishment). While we understand that our community wants quick action around abuse in the ecosystem, it’s important for us to ensure that we follow internal processes of checks and balances to make sure we come to a fair decision.

SEASON 20 IS HERE!

Key Points
- MMR has been reset, everyone starts at 1200
- PVP season 20 is live with over $7M USD in AXS rewards!
- Daily quest SLP has been removed.
- Adventure mode SLP has been removed.
- SLP rewards have been reduced at certain MMR brackets.
- Trainers under 800 MMR will now receive 1 SLP per win.
- Improvements and bug fixes:
> Bulkwark/Tiny Catapult and Carrot/Snail shell interaction interaction now works as intended.
> Bulkwark/Tiny Catapult and Sponge/Bone Sail interaction interaction now works as intended.
> Players could occasionally hold more than 12 cards on hand, this is now impossible.

Upcoming Season 20 & Economic Balancing Adjustments

Key Points

* Adventure mode SLP will be sunset (reduced to 0). This includes rewards for first time completion.

* Daily quest SLP will be sunset (reduced to 0).

* Arena reward structure will be changed dramatically (reduced SLP rewards and AXS leaderboard massively expanded)

* Sub 800 MMR players will now e
arn 1 SLP per win. We want to be considerate for players with weaker Axies so we’re adding this back in (for now)

* We are considering reworking the energy system to scale more linearly, making additional energy more accessible and boosting demand for weaker Axies.

RON Is Live!

"RON is the governance token for the Ronin blockchain. Its main purpose is to secure and decentralize the network. Ronin will thrive if RON is in the hands of the builders and users of the network."

Preseason Balancing Update #2

“We anticipate that this will be the last balancing until the Season 21 buffer period. However, we may make hotfixes until the launch of Season 20 if there are unforeseen issues in the meta.”

Additional Improvements:
- We modified the visual effects to be more in sync with the Axie's actions.
- Fixed a bug that displayed the incorrect class icon.
- Axie expressions are back!
- Updated some actions to display the correct trigger text.

“We will re-enable the captcha service that requires a trainer to rotate an Axie into the correct standing position. This service will help us fight against bots playing the game. If you fail the captcha service five times, your account will be locked for two hours.”

BAN WAVE UPDATE

• 18,505 Axies were banned as a result of multiple account abuse.
• We modified the ban terms over the weekend upon discovering an error in our detection algorithms.
• We've updated the TOS to make the rules around multi-accounting more clear.

“Scholarship leaders should actively work to ensure that scholars are not misrepresenting themselves and that each scholar only has access to one account. Some actions that can be taken to prevent this include scholarship applications that quiz applicants on the Axie terms of service, and video interviews.”
