**THE TRUTH REVEALED: SENATE HEARING WITH THE IRON LADY OF THE SOUTH – VICE PRESIDENT SARA DUTERTE**
Vice President Sara Duterte was encouraged to run to ensure the continuation of her father’s legacy. She was promised that the unity and momentum from President Duterte's administration would carry forward, especially with major infrastructure projects. She trusted the process, believing that these big-ticket initiatives would be completed. However, what has happened since?
Many of the significant projects, like bridges and other Build, Build, Build programs, have stalled due to a lack of counterpart appropriations for foreign-funded projects. While these projects are listed, funds are not being allocated.
NEDA Secretary confirmed that funding for many of these projects has either stopped or encountered serious problems. The promise to continue the infrastructure legacy of the Duterte administration has faded, leaving the Filipino people at a disadvantage. This is why, even today, flooding persists. Fortunately, before President Duterte’s term ended, several key projects were completed: Cebu airports, Paguil Bay Bridge in Lanao, Ozamis, Palawan, Legazpi, Bohol airports, coastal roads, the North and South Super Highways, and more. The EDSA underground railway construction is also ongoing—all thanks to the Duterte administration.
Vice President Sara's frustration during the Senate hearing and press conference is clear. She ran and sacrificed for the good of the country and our fellow Filipinos. Now, these crucial Build, Build, Build projects are left without funding, and she’s even facing calls for impeachment. Those responsible must be held accountable to the Filipino people. She is simply doing her job.
