Weekly Fighter Verse(s)

[ Letter to the Philippians 4:19 ESV Bible ]

19 "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. 20 To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen."
~Apostle Paul

[ Cody Farthing: "What You Truly Need" ]
Have you ever wondered why the morning air rings with a cacophony of sparrow songs, blackbird ballads, and robin refrains like an orchestra tuning before an overture? The sun slowly rolls out of bed as the dawn stretches to shake the night from its eyesโ€”awakened by the alarm clock of birdsong. Each morning, my wife and I open our casement window to usher in this soundtrack of the waking world. We marvel that these feathery little music boxes can daily sing such a big song with abandon as if no care could mute them (Matthew 6:26). And yet, Christian, how often our hearts are hoarse with worry when our Heavenly Father has promised to supply our every need. For this reason, we turn to our passage.

As an imprisoned Paul ties a bow on his letter by thanking the Philippian church for their generous financial gift, he in turn offers them a gift of infinitely greater value: a promise from God. โ€œAnd my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.โ€ Every need. No height of helplessness He cannot reach and no depth of distress He cannot bend. No care too costly that His riches in glory cannot pay in full. What are these โ€œriches in gloryโ€? Nothing short of the infinite resources that daily shower anew on the sinner who has bathed in the blood of Christโ€™s finished work. In Christ, there is no need that will go unmet, for there is no need that God lacks the means to meet.

And yet, if you are reading this while bearing the wounds of what seems like lack, this promise might feel more like a bruise than a balm for the soul. The light of His love radiating from such a promise may look dim through the tinted lens of a bare ring finger, an empty womb, or an aching body. But my question to you is this: Are you sure you know what you truly need? The Apostle Paul did. He learned through much suffering that our ultimate need amidst every need is God Himself.

Like hitchhiking across the Blue Ridge Parkway, Paulโ€™s journey to glory was one of innumerable hills and valleys (Philippians 4:11โ€“12). But God met his needs in โ€œeach and every circumstanceโ€ by meeting him in his needs. God met each need in a manner that would meet his truest need: contentment in Christ (Philippians 4:13).

Dear saint, God always knows our needs far better than we do. Our finite minds are masterful at misreading. In fact, often, what we perceive as โ€œneedsโ€ are mere wants playing dress-up. However, the Creator of the universe doesnโ€™t lack a single resource to satisfy each and every need of his people from Eden to the New Jerusalem, nor does the Fountain of Wisdom lack a drop to discern real needs from the counterfeits.

The God who graciously gave His own Son for you (Romans 8:32), the God who has โ€œblessed [you] in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 1:3), and the God who works all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), is the same God who has vowed to โ€œsupply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesusโ€ (Philippians 4:19). Trust His promise to you. Draw near with confidence to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16), believing that your Heavenly Father understands your needs best and will supply everything you truly need to be satisfied in His Sonโ€”for the glory of His Son. Then, when your cares awaken with you in the dawn, open the window of your anxious heart and join creationโ€™s song.
*******

[ For Reflection ]
God is committed to keeping His promise because He is committed to His glory (Ps. 50:15; Phil. 4:20; 1 Peter 4:11). How can this reality comfort you in your time of need?

Godโ€™s supply and timing often look different than our expectations (Isa. 55:8โ€“9; Rom. 11:33โ€“36). When needs abound, what additional passages about Godโ€™s provision can you wield against the temptation to despair, doubt, fear, complain, covet, and be impatient?

Do you know someone in need whom you can encourage with this weekโ€™s passage?

A Discussion Review on:
*Biblical Evangelism through Godly Living*

[ John F. MacArthur, Jr. ] - "Its success is not measured by immediate numeric results. It does not have to be retooled or completely redesigned if at first glance it does not seem to be working. It stays focused on the cross and the message of redemption, undiluted by pragmatic or worldly interests. It is never obsessed with questions like how people might react, what we can do to make our message sound more appealing, or how we might frame the gospel differently so as to minimize the offense of the cross. It is concerned instead with truth, clarity, biblical accuracy, and (above all) Christ. Its message is about Him and what He has done to redeem sinners; it is not about the hurting personโ€™s felt needs, or what he or she must do to merit Godโ€™s blessing."

Partnership for intellectual improvement and character transformation by God's grace that leads us in growing unto Christlikeness by means of proper and insightful Christian educative stimulants augmenting the discipleship of life in the renewal of our minds and the cultivation of spiritual and eternal values treasured by a redeemed heart that seeks to glorify God by treasuring God's Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, the solely apppointed Mediator between God and men, by whose Person, Work, and Exaltation, we have the good news of salvation in Him; so that our every grace-driven effort and our love-motivated endeavors are channeled for the adorning and the propagation of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, to the end that many souls may find true peace in reconciling with God through faith in the redeeming grace manifested on Calvary, we are justified and forgiven of our sins, for Christ's sake; and that by submitting to Christ we do have a guaranteed right leadership of Him for our guidance in holy living that is pleasing in God's eyes and by union with Christ we find lasting joy in the lifetime pursuit of knowing Him, increasingly, amidst all trials that what the world dreaded to face alone, and all the enigma in what they consider as "the predicament of human dilemma in his existence".*

With this focus on Christian education for Christlike transformation of character, we are anchoring our Projects in the timeless principles of the Bible for ethics, relationships, the labor of love, sensitive cases of conscience, the firmness in doctrinal convictions, and the fight of faith amidst all the oppositions of the devil and of the sinful system of this fallen world, and with all the other enemies of the truth of the gospel.

We value partnership in the gospel truth that caters Christian education which, we hope, would help some (if not every) believer(s) who believe in the finality and trustworthiness of the Bible (also known as, The Sacred Scriptures of the Christian Faith, consisting of the 66 books of the combined Old Testament and New Testament documents which were historically received by the church as the official canon, or "the measuring standard" for faith and practice.

Our Project is a helping-tool for a believer to be more familiar with the basics of the faith leading to the obedience of it, for spiritual growth, for service, unto the honor and praise of God in Christ Jesus.

Hence, just to reiterate a biblical statement that summarizes our Project's Aim, I will quote two verses from the Apostle Paul's Letter to the Romans, chapter 1 and chapter 16, to press the point about the obedience of faith which is our lifetime theme, Lord willing, and here are the verses:

(a) Romans 1:5 = "through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations,"
(b) Romans 16:26 = "but has now been disclosed and through the prophetic writings has been made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faithโ€”"
Notice the mention of the phrase: "the obedience of faith" in both our two references from Epistle to the Romans, in the first chapter, and in the last chapter as well, of the apostle's letter... And to me, these phrase captures the essence of the purpose of his letter: to bring about the obedience of faith.

Since Christ Jesus commissioned Paul as his apostle and ambassador to the world, and since Christ is the Lord of all, (whether people acknowledge it or not, it remains true: Christ is Lord of all and therefore His rule is our rule, His precepts our precepts, and His kingdom values shape by grace is our top priority. The apostle's aim here is to faithfully discharge His duty as gospel-preacher, pastor and teacher, as commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ who had called him personally to become one of his apostles, Paul's message is the same in substance with the prophetic writings, the Scriptures, and our conscience are being captive by the words of Christ who identify himself as "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no one comes to the Father except by Me", says Jesus in John 14:6.

Therefore, we humbly proclaim our vision:

We exist to encourage partnership in truth-learning, both in the general revelation of God in His created world (including our selves as His creatures bearing His image), and more specially through His special revelation of Himself in His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, as He is presented in the Bible, as the only Mediator between God and man, to the end that this distinct Christian education shall prompt us and sustain us in our responsibility in relation to the mandate of the local church, which is: "to bring about the obedience of faith".

Now, to the ABOUT of our PROJECT:

We are committed to produce "Theologic Educational Presentations" primarily via social media, and secondarily via face-to-face live symposium and short courses "For the Affirmation of the Truths of the Christian Faith," with corroborative support from the evidence of general knowledge about the order and design and beauty of the God-created-world, "as Revealed to Us by GOD, in His Written Word, the 66 books of the Holy Bible."*

That's a very long sentence; let me shorten it in thede words:

To produce
"Theologic Educational Presentations For the Affirmation of the Truths of the Christian Faith, as Revealed to Us by GOD, in His Written Word".

You can find that in one of our Vlog Project Segment entitled: EVANGELICAL THEOLOGY 101.

The same conviction is true with regards to the purpose of our second page, the Tagalog site, namely, "Patungkol sa Walang Hanggang Diyos at sa Nilikha Niyang Mga Tao" and you can easily find that by typing its personalized link in the search bar (see the comment section below for this new page which is just starting along with Team Mononym).*

Education is the instilling of habits of mind and heart that incline and enable students for the rest of their lives to

Observe the word and the world carefully

Understand what they observe clearly

Evaluate what they have understood fairly

Feel that evaluation proportionately.

Apply their discoveries to all of life wisely

And express these discoveries clearly and accurately and creatively and winsomely.

"Poverty and affliction [may] take away the fuel that feeds pride."
Richard Sibbes

From the Letter of James, the half-brother of Jesus,

"Now the brother or sister of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position;

10 but the rich person is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away.

11For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed; so also the rich person, in the midst of his pursuits, will die out."

Romans 7:15-20 Sino ba itong Taong Hati na Ito? (Part 02 of 2)
Series: Tunggalian sa Ating Kalooban
/
by: RFV_2021
+
1. "Ang Kasalanan ay Isang Nakagagambalang Hiwaga".
2. "Ang Kasalanan ay Isang Kabuuang Kasalungat ng Bagong Tao kay Cristo".
/
Repentance is one kind of self-knowledge: "the knowing ourselves sinners, yes, guilty, helpless sinners, even though we know we are children of God." This is a Biblical paradox. When we first find the redemption in the blood of Jesus; when the love of God is first shed abroad in our hearts, and when His kingdom set up therein; it is natural to suppose that we are no longer sinners, that all our sins are not only covered but destroyed. As we do not then feel any evil in our hearts, we readily imagine that none is there. This contradicts the doctrine pertaining to the presence of the indwelling sin in a believer.

Hindi lang iyon, mayroon ding ilang mga namamaling mananampalataya, na bagaman alam nating maganda ang intensiyon at sincere sa kanilang belief, yet some of these well-meaning men have imagined this not only at that conversion time, but ever after; having persuaded themselves, that when they were justified, they were entirely sanctified: and yes, they have laid it down as a general rule,---in spite of Scripture, reason, and experience--they have laid it down as a norm for the New Covenant believers. These sincerely believe, and earnestly maintain, that all sin is destroyed when we are justified; and that there is no sin in the heart of a believer; but that it is altogether clean from that moment and ever after.

But though we readily acknowledge, "he that believeth is born of God," and "he that is born of God doth not commit sin;" yet we cannot allow that he does not feel sin from within: well, sin does not reign, but it does remain. And a conviction of the sin which remains in our heart, is one great aspect of the repentance we are now speaking of. the knowing ourselves sinners, yea, guilty, helpless sinners, even though we know we are children of God.

30/03/2021

Reflection on my College years (in Bachelor of Arts Major in English Literature):
I began studying College in the year 2009. But I graduated highschool in 2005.
The same can be said about immersion sa pag-aaral ng natural and social sciencesโ€”in short, dapat ang lahat ay tinitingnan sa pananaw na bubuo ka ng mga pangmatagalang habits ng isipan at mga gawi ng pusoโ€”yun bang maikikintal sa iyo ang ganyang ugali; yung ikaw ay inclined para sa pag-aaral na tutungo sa kabutihan ng mundo (o may pakinabang sa mas maraming mga tao sa daigdig), in a sense na makagagawa ka ng isang mas malayang mga tao, ng isang malayang bayan. Mayroong true liberty.
Nauuna yan palagi. So evaluation is a necessary skill. Puntuhin mo ang iyong naunawaan.
At kahulihan,
6. About sa pag-iexpress o pagpapahiwatig at pagku-communicate ng mga ideya na nalalaman mo at minamahal mo, o kinagigiliwan mo (na true knowledge), you have to express ang mga bagay na ito 'compellingly' (wasto, claro, malikhain, at credible at convincingly) or winsomely--sa speech, sa writings, sa actions para sa kabutihan ng daigdig.
For after all, ano nga ba ang EDUKASYON kundi ganyan?
