🗣️ Let’s end VAWC together.

This National Awareness Day Against VAWC, we renew our pledge to eradicate violence against women and children in the Philippines. Shockingly, 17.5% of Filipino women aged 15-49 have experienced abuse from a partner. In 2023 alone, over 20,000 cases were reported. 📈

To break this cycle, we must raise awareness, promote equality, and strengthen support systems. 🤝 Join us in empowering survivors, challenging harmful norms, and building a safer future for all. 💜

In the nature of our field, us, future nurses 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️, need to know the 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩'𝙨, 𝙝𝙤𝙬'𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙮'𝙨 of nursing in order to guarantee the 𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙤𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙡 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚 📈 that we can provide to our future patients.

The 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 📝🏥, which is celebrated every third week of October since 1995, allows us to take part in becoming 𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 💫 by becoming aware of the health issues present in the community; thus, it helps in developing solutions that can be used to improve the overall community health and the health care system itself. ❤️‍🩹🩹

Yesterday, UPHSD proudly participated in the recent career fair held at St. Paul College of Parañaque, showcasing our commitment to excellence and the wide range of programs we offer. It was an exciting day as St. Paul students eagerly visited booths from various schools, exploring potential career paths and engaging with representatives to learn more about their educational opportunities. 🎓💼
