Is your faith tangible?
Jesus had said to his disciple Thomas, who came to believe after seeing the resurrected Christ, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me” (John 20:29).
Peter, having heard those words, echoes them here: “You love him even though you have never seen him.”
Faith brings both salvation and the promise of a day when pain will end and perfect justice will begin.
Faith will be rewarded and evil will be punished. But what should we do until then?
The Bible gives us a simple but difficult answer: Because we know the future, we must faithfully serve God here and now.
If today that means resolving a conflict, mending a hurt, working a dull job, confronting a belligerent child, rebuilding a marriage, or just waiting for guidance—do it all with the joy of God, who will return with the reward he has promised!

How did the earth come to be?
Where did the stars and planets come from?
When did life begin?
Have we always been human beings, or did we mutate and evolved from something else over millions of years?
Many scientists have used the concept of “evolution” to answer the big questions about origins (how things began and got to where they are now).
But the word “evolution” can be confusing. In its basic meaning, it can be defined as something changing over time. Few would argue with this broad definition.
For example, there is no question that human beings look quite different from nation to nation and therefore, if we believe all people came from Adam and Eve, we’d have to admit there was a certain evolution into races and colors and sizes. There is no doubt that things and people change over time. These changes are minor but often obvious.
The Bible has no argument for this kind of “evolution.”
However, evolution is also defined by some scientists as a process whereby life, including human life, developed from non-living matter and developed entirely by natural means.
This definition argues that evolution also consists of major changes. Not only can characteristics within a species change (people’s height or skin color, or the length of a finch’s bill), but one species actually changes into another species (dinosaurs can turn into birds or monkeys can turn into humans). This not only stretches logic and plausibility, but it also directly contradicts the plain meaning of Scripture.
It is when evolution walks out onto this limb that it gets into serious scientific and theological trouble.
God created human beings for the primary purpose of having an eternal relationship with him. He couldn’t have that same relationship with amoebas or snakes, with rocks or apes.
God desires a relationship with humans whom he created in his image with his characteristics. He wouldn’t create a monkey so that it could become a person over time through a messy,

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
