YFC PROVINCIAL LEVEL COMPETITION PITCHING

AMAD Rehiyon Dose | YFC Soccsksargen

The DA-RFO 12 Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division under the leadership of Dr. Esmael M. Intao, successfully conducted the YFC Provincial Level Competition Pitching at Agua-Frio, Koronadal City on February 5-7, 2025.

Part of the Young Farmers Challenge Program is the selection of the provincial level awardees. The YFC RPMT XII successfully conducted the 3-day business pitching activity. It was participated by different young agripreneurs from various provinces of Region XII. A total of 41 youth who have showcased their talents and enthusiasm when it comes to innovation, technology, and agripreneurial mind set.

📌Empowering organic practitioners with the tools to succeed!

The Business Plan Preparation & Financial Management Literacy for Organic Practitioners, held from February 3-7, 2025, at Carlitos Hotel and Restaurant in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, brought together five (5) dedicated associations: IFFABPCO, BOFA, S.F.A, BFAC, and Sitio Lagon Farmers MPC.

This training focused on equipping them with the skills to draft comprehensive business plans, covering operations, marketing, financial strategies, and sustainability for their enterprises. 📊💡

| The Young Farmers Challenge (YFC) Program, spearheaded by the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office XII, through the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD), continues its mission to empower young agripreneurs with financial and technical support for sustainable agri-fishery enterprises.

On Day 2 of the provincial-level competition, nine aspiring young agripreneurs from General Santos City and Sarangani Province present their innovative agribusiness proposals earlier, February 6, 2025, in Koronadal City, South Cotabato. Their business models will be evaluated based on feasibility, sustainability, and innovation.

By fostering youth involvement in agriculture, the YFC Program aims to cultivate the next generation of agripreneurs, driving innovation and sustainability in the agri-fishery sector.

| The Department of Agriculture - Regional Field Office XII, through the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD), launched the Young Farmers Challenge (YFC) Program to boost youth participation in agriculture and agri-fishery enterprises.

Structured as a competition, the program provides financial and technical support to young farmers with the most innovative agribusiness proposals. In the provincial-level contest, 9 out of 42 participants from South Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat presented their business models for evaluation and judges assessed feasibility, sustainability, and innovation in order to select level 1 winners, whom each will receive Php80,000 in seed capital to launch their ventures.

The program’s next phase includes business implementation, monitoring, and mentorship, with DA-RFO XII AMAD continuing to provide guidance and support to the young agripreneurs.

PROVINCIAL LEVEL COMPETITION PITCHING

The YFC-RPMT XII, conducted the level 1 or the PROVINCIAL LEVEL COMPETITION PITCHING this 5th day of February 2025, at Agua Frio, Koronadal City. It was participated by the Qualified applicants from the province of south Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat.

A total of Eleven (11) Business Model Canvas (BMC) were presented before the panel of Judges. They showcased their talent and passion when it comes to agribusiness and entrepreneurial mindset.

The Department of Agriculture RFO-XII, through the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD), successfully conducted a transformative two-day Organizational Management and Leadership Training at Carlitos Hotel and Restaurant on February 4-5, 2025.
