The Notre Dame of Marbel University - College of Law had an outstanding debut in the Philippines Bar Examinations following the triumph of its 9 graduates in the recently concluded Bar Exams.

The university had a passing rate of 81.82% (9 passers out of 11 takers) and ranked Top 4 in Overall Performing School with 11-50 examinees.

This year's national passing rate is 36.77% (3,812 passers out of 10,387 takers), a bit lower compared to the previous year which was 43.47%

𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦: Koronadal City ramps up Scholarship Program, now includes scholarships for Law and Medical Students.

The Iskolar ng Koronadal- Kabugwason Paglaum Program, the official and publicly-funded scholarship program of Koronadal LGU, recently announced that they will now include post-graduate grants specifically for Juris Doctor and Doctor of Medicine academic programs.

Successful Juris Doctor and Doctor of Medicine scholar applicants will be able to receive up to 50,000 and 70,000 pesos per semester respectively.
The scholarship grant will cover tuition, matriculation fees, and cash allowances.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., who is also the Agriculture secretary, will witness tomorrow, June 14, 2023, the Ground Breaking Ceremony of South Cotabato Integrated Rice Processing Center and attend as Guest of Honor to different KADIWA activities at the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center, Koronadal City.

The visit prompted the Koronadal LGU to issue a road closure order from 6:00AM - 2:00PM of the same day covering Alunan Avenue, Sinsuat Streat, and Jaycees Avenue.

Maya-5 and Maya-6 are aboard the SpaceX Falcon 9 as part of SpaceX’s 28th commercial resupply mission.

𝗡𝗗𝗠𝗨 𝗚𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝟭𝟬𝟬% 𝗡𝗟𝗘 𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘, 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗢𝗣 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗥

Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) produced 1 top-notcher and garnered a 100% passing rate in the recently concluded November 2022 Nurse License Examination (NLE) .

The university produced 36 new registered nurses , 34 of whom were first-time takers of the said exam.

Karen Mae Palomo Cumbe,RN bagged the 8th place along with 32 other topnotchers with a rating of 88.60%.

When asked what’s the secret formula in topping the NLE, Ms. Cumbe said “For me, I don't really think there's a secret formula in topping the boards. I guess it really boils down to one's faith, discipline, motivation, and taking care of oneself. I give myself time to study but I also give my body a chance to recover from the stress of reviewing. I always tell myself that I can make it, and that everything will be worth it in the end. Most importantly, I always asked God to give provide me the strength to go on, even though the hardest days of my review.”

She was also grateful to her Alma Mater especially to her clinical instructors who shaped and molded her for the past 4 years.

“To my alma mater, thank you for being an essential part of reaching my goal of being a registered nurse - it has been a great 4 years. To my batchmates, thank you for being a constant companion and support system in my nursing journey - I'm really proud of us. To the community, thank you for all your well wishes - I really hope I made you proud. To the nursing students, I hope you will appreciate the art and science of nursing. I know taking up this course is not easy but remember why you studied BSN in the first place and that is to save lives”, she added as a thank-you message.

The NLE was conducted from November 12 to 13 across different venues nationwide.

👀 𝙇𝙊𝙊𝙆 : University of Santo Tomas - Gensan Campus Main Building now 69% complete.

The main building of UST situated in Brgy. Ligaya & Brgy. Katangawan , General Santos City is now 69% complete as reported by The Varsitarian.

The UST's first mindanao campus sits on 77-hectar land , 3 times bigger than the Manila Campus.

The campus is expected to open in 2023 with the following offerings:

Magandang balita ang hatid ng tanggapan ng City Civil Registrar, dahil patuloy ang pagtanggap nito sa mga indibidwal na gustong makakuha ng kopya ng Authenticated Marriage, Birth and Death Certificate kung saan agad itong makukuha kinabukasan. Maaaring mag-apply ang mga walk-in, kung saan hindi na kinakailangan ang appointment.

Sa mga nais kumuha, bumisita lamang sa kanilang opisina sa 2nd floor ng New City Hall building mula 8 ng umaga hanggang 5 ng hapon. Nagkakahalaga ang bawat documento ng Php 255.

𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗠𝗜𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗢𝗞𝗘𝗗: Tampakan Mayor Leonard Escubillo ordered the closure of Sagittarius Mining Inc. office on Thursday, September 14 after sending a notice of revokation of SMI's Mayor Permit.

The Tampakan LGU revoked the mining company's permit for defrauding the local government of millions of pesos in local tax remittances.

The LGU is demanding SMI to pay its tax obligations amounting to 397 million pesos which covers income taxes, real property taxes, and mayor’s permit from 2003 to 2022.

SMI meanwhile filed a petition with RTC Koronadal for the re-assesment of the tax deficiency and granting of TRO for the collection of 397 million by the LGU.
