Although you can build your following using bot followers, that's not the point. You gain likes and comments but don't win any followers. You just build an imaginary audience by just buying plain numbers, which do not reflect reality.
Having many bots in your follower count makes it difficult for you to estimate real engagement, reach, or the number of genuine followers. The cost of your efforts will not be measurable against your desired goals.
This is something I know firsthand. In the past, I have handled several Instagram pages without being aware that they purchased bot followers, which was my fault for not auditing their followers beforehand. As a result, I know now how to identify bot-infected pages much better.
How did things turn out? (several are on the list of long-term benefits in the visual) ๐
๐ฏ Good organic effort can help you gain an engaged audience, grow followers organically, get sales, email subscriptions, etc. So, grow slow, or grow fast, but grow organically.
