Bam to ensure sufficient funding for education, health, and social services Dismayed by budget cuts in vital programs and services, former Senator Bam Aquino vows to ensure adequate funding for education, health, and social services in future national budgets if victorious in the 2025 senatorial race. If given a chance, uunahin talaga natin iyong budget. Itong nakaraang budget, ang hirap talagang tanggapin na mayroong cuts sa edukasyon, sa kalusugan, at sa DSWD, pati na sa computerization program ng DepEd,” the former Senator said during an interview on ABS-CBN’s Harapan 2025. “We have to make sure next year's budget, balik iyong mga pondong iyan at mas papalakihin pa iyong pondo na kailangan talaga ng tao,” he added. The former lawmaker was particularly disappointed over the P3-billion budget cut to the free college law, which he championed during his time as chairperson of the Senate Committee on Education. If elected to the Senate, Aquino committed to expanding the Free College Law and ensuring that college graduates have a job waiting for them after graduation. Meanwhile, Aquino said eradicating corruption and cartels is crucial in bringing down the prices of goods. Aquino said prices of goods will easily go down by 10 to 20 percent if corruption in the country’s ports is eradicated.

"If we have reserves in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, there is no reason why we shouldn't have reserves for the coming January. You've stated that we've met the ancillary service requirements so that I will take your word for it. At least we have ancillary services, regulating reserves, contingency reserves, and dispatchable reserves across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao," pagpaathag ni Fernandez.

“But to note, with the latest information we got, it’s just the 1x100 MVA to be finished in 2025. We are alarmed by the delay of this project. The number of outages that we’ve been having of 162 outages in 1 year alone is something very alarming,” pahayag ni Castro sa hearing.

"The project is now scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2025. We had to negotiate access to the site with one of the power plants, which caused a delay. However, the issue has been resolved, and we aim for a completion date in the second quarter of next year," paathag ni Atty. Alabanza.

Nagpabutyag man si Department of Energy Undersecretary Sharon Garin sa importansya sang NGCP facilities.

TODAs have been the backbone of local transportation for decades, and now we are being pushed aside for profit-driven MC taxi operators,” wika ni Ariel Lim, pangulo ng NACTODAP at NPTC.

“This is not just about MC taxis. It’s about respect for the workers who keep our communities moving. The Marcos administration must engage with us before implementing policies that impact our sector,” ani Sison.
