One Last Try
Not going the right way doesn't necessarily mean you're going the wrong way.
For years we have shot all sorts of films. Documentaries, Brand Films, Shorts, Ads, and of course, Weddings. We have been in the industry for more than 6 years and shot over 90 weddings. From the onset, we knew we wanted to be different. And that’s what we did. We tried different techniques, went against the ordinary, and contrary to most we found comfort in the strange and the unsettling. But for some reason, we got scared. We saw the work of successful studios and realised how far off we were from the beaten path. That's when we made our mistake. We became that typical wedding videography studio, hell bent on being the same as the rest, shooting glamour shots, mushy scenes, trying to be something that clearly wasn't us. We lost our voice and grew uninspired. Then we started to question our potential. We thought “This is it, it’s the end of the line.”
It was then that we realised the mistake we made.
A wedding film doesn't necessarily have to be a story about love or romance. It doesn't have to be always filled with laughter. It doesn't have to be staged. To put it simply, why does every wedding film have to be the same when every couple is unique?
