The 3rd Annual Pinning and White Coat Ceremony of USA Nutrition and Dietetics Program held on January 21, 2025, at the CPMT 7th floor, began with a meaningful mass led by CNND regent, Fr. John Louis S. Ricamora, OSA. The Coro Liturgico Agustino's harmonious singing added a special touch to the event. Dr. Louie P. Hijalda, RN, Dean of CNND, welcomed everyone with remarks that delved into the significance of the event, questioning why we celebrate it and what lies behind it. He emphasized that the ceremony is not just a tradition, but a recognition of the students' journey and their commitment to the values of responsibility and accountability. The welcoming of guest speaker was introduced by the Assistant Academic Supervisor of ND Program, Ms. Juric Liny B. Linaugo, RND.

The event featured an inspiring speech by Ma. Noema C. Castromayor, RND, RN, who shared, "I realized that being average, being one of the quiet middle has its own kind of strength. You donโ€™t have to be the loudest voice, the most celebrated name, or the top achiever to matter. You matter because of the authenticity and dedication in your work." She encouraged the 4th-year students to embrace their unique strengths and continue learning and growing. This was followed by the pledge-taking, led by the 4th year's Class President, Kris Antoinette S. Declaro. Geraldine Deocampo, a 4th-year student and former Vice Governor of the Nutrition & Dietetics Council, delivered a heartfelt tribute to parents, thanking them for their unwavering support and reminding everyone that true success isn't just about accomplishments, but how we uplift them. There was also a parent's speech by Jema S. Deocampo, mother of Ms. Geraldine Deocampo. The event concluded with closing remarks by the Academic Supervisor, Mary Recelle P. Briones, MSAN, RND, and an exit of colors by the USA-ROTC.

This event was a celebration of the students' achievements and a reminder of the journey ahead, as Batch Eunoia prepares to make a significant impact in the field of nutrition and dietetics.

This past year was filled with challenges that tested our resilience, lessons that shaped our growth, and moments that reminded us of our purpose. From sleepless nights preparing for exams to meaningful encounters during clinical rotations, each experience has brought us closer to becoming the compassionate professionals we strive to be. We celebrate the friendships that stood by us, the mentors who guided us, and the milestonesโ€”big or smallโ€”that proved our hard work was worth it.

As we celebrate fresh beginnings and exciting opportunities, letโ€™s also get ready to face what lies aheadโ€”classes, clearances, deadlines, and hands-on learning experiences. After this well-deserved break, itโ€™s time to refocus, gear up, and step back into school with renewed energy and determination.

To our future nurses, nutritionists, and dietitiansโ€”letโ€™s continue striving for excellence and making a difference. Together, weโ€™ll make 2025 a year of growth, success, and new milestones!

Cheers to a productive and fulfilling year ahead! Happy New Year, everyone! ๐ŸŽ‡๐ŸŽŠโœจ

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Maโ€™am Nemelyn Medianero, a beloved and dedicated faculty member of the College of Nursing.

Maโ€™am Nemelyn was more than just an educatorโ€”she was a mentor, a role model, and a source of inspiration to countless students. Her unwavering commitment to shaping the future of healthcare professionals and her genuine care for everyone she encountered will forever be remembered.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, loved ones, and all those grieving this loss. May Maโ€™am Nemelyn rest in eternal peace, embraced by Godโ€™s loving arms.

Thank you for everything, Maโ€™am. You will always be in our hearts.

Illustris marked a milestone in their academic journey with the successful hosting of โ€œGrand Fine Dining: A Night of Social Graces and Illustris Excellence,โ€ held at the Grand Xing Imperial Hotel last December 16, 2024. This event was not only a celebration of their Capping and Pinning Anniversary but also a culminating activity for their Social Graces 1 subject, featuring a graded fine dining experience.

A key highlight of the night was the Graded Fine Dining Experience, where students demonstrated their mastery of proper etiquette, table manners, and social interactionโ€”skills honed throughout the semester. This portion was not only an elegant feast but also a practical evaluation of their learning, adding a meaningful academic dimension to the celebration.

The program also featured the King and Queen of the Night, captivating dance performances by students of different Team Chairpersons, and the โ€œIllustris Prophecy,โ€ which reflected on the batchโ€™s aspirations and future for the care of cancer patients. This memorable event perfectly blended education and celebration, reinforcing the importance of social graces in both their academic and personal lives.

As the lights dimmed, the students of Illustris walked away not only with awards and memories but also with valuable life skills that will serve them well in the years to come.
