Garlic alcohol:

how to prepare insecticide against scale insects, aphids and other insects

1. Chop 6 cloves of garlic and place in a spray bottle.

How to keep chicken layers.

Sweet Chili Sauce

A deliciously sweet and sticky sauce, perfect for adding flavor to any dish!

Yields: 2 cups

Ingredients:

• 1 cup water
• 1 cup sugar
• ¼ cup vinegar
• 1 tbsp red pepper flakes
• 1 tbsp smoked paprika
• 2 tbsps soy sauce
• 2 tbsps minced garlic

Cornstarch Slurry:

• 3 tbsps cornstarch
• 3 tbsps water

Instructions:

1. In a saucepan, combine water and sugar, bringing it to a boil to create a simple syrup. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
2. Add red pepper flakes, smoked paprika, soy sauce, and vinegar to the syrup. Stir well, then add the minced garlic.
3. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Slowly stir it into the sauce to thicken.

Homemade Pork Tocino Recipe

Ingredients!

-2 kilos thinly slices pork kasim na may taba
-3 cups sprite
-2 and 1/2 cups brown sugar
-5 to 8 cloves garlic
-3 tsp ground pepper
-2 tbsps oyster sauce
-4 tbsps soy sauce
-1/4 cup white vinegar
-1/4 cup cooking oil
-4 tbsps salt(adjust)
-2 tsp baking soda
-msg(optional)

■Procedure:

1. Marinate the pork
In a large bowl, add soy sauce, oyster sauce ,vinegar, salt, ground black pepper, garlic and sugar and oil.Mix well to ensure all ingredients pod are thoroughly combined then add the baking soda mix again before adding the sprite or 7 up.
Good thing about homemade is you can always adjust the taste and ingredients.

2. transfer the pork and marinade to a tub , container or a resealable plastic bag.
Marinate in the refrigerator for 8 hours, preferably overnight for the best flavor.

3. Cook the Pork Tocino:
over medium heat. Add the marinated pork along with the marinade.

PORK PATA HUMBA recipe

Ingredients
1 kg. pork PATA
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
3/4 cup pineapple juice
1 medium onion (chopped)
5 cloves garlic (minced)
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 pieces star anise (optional)
1/4 cup banana blossom
1/4 cup salted black beans (rinsed)
1 tsp. whole peppercorns
2 pcs. bay leaf
2 - 3 cups water (as needed)

Procedure
1. Marinate the pork in soy sauce, vinegar and pineapple juice for at least 1 hour.

2. After marinating, drain the meat and reserve the marinade. Then, sear the meat until light brown and the oil is rendered. Then, remove from the pan and leave the oil for sauteing.

3. Saute' onion and garlic until fragrant. Put the seared meat back to the pan. Saute' for a minute. Then add the reserved marinade. Add the star anise, peppercorns, brown sugar, bay leaf and enough water to cook the meat until tender. Simmer in low heat for 1 hour or until the meat is soft and tender.

4. Once the meat is tender, add the banana blossom and salted black beans. Simmer for another 5 minutes or until the sauce is reduced.

Farmers Must Use 5 Senses In Breeding, Raising Free-Range Chicken!

To be successful in breeding Free-Range Chicken, farmers must use the 5 Basic Human Senses.

1. Touch - The farmer must find time to really touch the body of his chicken. Kung payat, kulang sa pagkain or may bulate. Kung dry, kulang sa tubig. Kung may gumapang sa kamay, maraming kuto;

2. Sight - The farmer must keenly observe his chicken in the range. Kung tumitingala sa Langit na parang humihigop ng hangin, may halal o may sipon. Kung hindi gumagalaw at nananamlay, maaring hindi natunawan o may sakit. Kung puti, berde o may dugo ang tae, NCD, Avian Malaria o Coccidiosis ang sakit;

3. Hearing - Kung paos ang tilaok o tunog ng cackling, may respiratory disease;

4. Smell - Kung may masangsang na amoy ang mga manok, may sipon or respiratory diseases;

5. Taste - Ito ang pinaka-importante. Since we are breeding meat and egg chicken, dapat ang ultimate test ay lasa at texture ng karne. Kung buhaghag at dry ang karne, hindi masarap. Dapat long muscle strands at firm ang karne kasi yan ang standards ng Free-Range Chicken.

Yes, but they are not laying breed and lay less eggs as compared to layer chickens. Broiler chickens are raised mainly for meat production and they are not good for producing eggs.

2) HOW LONG DOES A BROILER CHICKEN LIVE?
Generally, they are processed for meat within their 6-8 weeks of age. They can live longer like some other chickens if they are not used for meat production.

3) CAN YOU EAT BROILER CHICKEN EGGS?
Yes, sure! You can eat broiler chicken eggs like other chicken breed’s eggs.

4) HOW BROILER CHICKEN IS MADE/PRODUCED?
Broiler chickens are produced through a process that start with breeding special chicken known as broiler parent stock. The hens lay eggs and then the eggs are incubated in hatcheries to hatch into chicks. Then the chicks are sent to broiler farms where they are raised in controlled environment. They are fed with high quality feed and kept in proper temperature and lighting. And after 6-8 weeks of age they reach marketing size.

5) HOW LONG DOES A BROILER CHICKEN TAKE TO GROW?
They generally reach marketing size (around 2 kg) within 6-8 weeks of age.

COMMON MISTAKES IN PIGGERY FARMING.

Hello my dear farmers, piggery farming is a fast growing venture. However, below are costly common mistakes that we tend to make.

1. Breeding stock.
We are well aware that breeding stock (Parent stock) is never cheap, however we farmers still are still stuck to cheap poor quality pigs that do not grow however much you feed them with too good feeds
Good feeds on poor quality breeds equates to loses.
Poor quality feeds on good genetics equates to loses as well

2. Numbers over Profitability.
Most of us are still excited because we have many pigs forgetting to focus on farm profitability. Well managed 5 sows with 1 boar are much profitable than poorly managed 20 sows with 2 boars.

3. Feeds Vs Weight gain Vs Time.
Some of us are not giving pigs the recommended feeds to achieve a given weight at a specified period of time. For example we achieve 87-100kgs by 20-24 weeks by feeding them almost 2.5kgs of nutritious feed mixture per day,

Some farmers give their pigs 1 kg of feeds for 10 months to achieve 80kgs while others give 2.5kgs for 5 months to achieve 100kgs.
Feeding Ad lib helps farmers reach market weight as early as 16 weeks.

4. Allowing Visitors

8. Understanding Animal Nutrition.
Feeding pigs is a technique not a principle. For example;
Piglets require more protein, while breeders require moderate protein in their meal. 70% of the meal must contain some carbohydrates. Lactating (breast feeding) sows require enough: water, protein and carbohydrates among others.

When pigs eat less, reduce feeds served to them to avoid wastage and create hunger to increase feeds intake.

When more feeds are consumed, provide the recommended quantities and unlimited clean water 24/7.

9. Lack of Wean to finish plan.
A majority of my farmer friends want to sell piglets. They do not have the plan to produce fatteners for pork. This simply means that failure to get market for their piglets leads to malnutrition due to lack of a proper and enough nutritious feeds for the animals.
In this case you risk closure of total having stunted pigs that do not grow.

10 Quality.
To produce quality animals, you must invest in quality breeds, nutritious feeds first and foremost. Maintain the number you can afford to give your best. Its better to have 10 well fed pigs than to have 100 malnourished pigs with 0 body score with no profit.
