LNHS EVRAA Athletes Light the Flame of Sportsmanship

A proud moment marked the opening of this year's LNHS Intramurals as the intrams urn was lit by Justin Isano (Boxing), representing the school's EVRAA athletes. Joining him in the ceremony were Jash Damon Crayo (Taekwondo), Bernard Babila Jr. (Boxing), and Idha Mendoza (Chess).

Following the lighting, Crayo led the Oath of Sportsmanship, reminding participants to uphold fairness, respect, and camaraderie throughout the games. Their presence symbolized the passion, discipline, and determination that LNHS athletes bring to every competition-values that the intramurals aim to inspire in all students.

The blazing urn signaled not only the official start of the games but also the unity and sportsmanship that define the LNHS spirit.

LNHS Celebrates Fun and Tradition Through Laro ng Lahi

After the colorful parade and exciting opening program, the fun continued at Lungsodaan National High School as students took part in the much-loved Laro ng Lahi - traditional and relay-style Filipino games that brought laughter, teamwork, and friendly rivalry.

Cheered on by teachers, parents, and visitors , students gamely joined activities such as kadang-kadang, sack race, balancing the ball, T-shirt relay, and other fun challenges. These games tested balance, speed, and coordination, while also strengthening camaraderie among participants.

With no need for expensive gear or uniforms, everyone was free to join—proving once again that the true joy of competition lies in participation, not just in victory. The Laro ng Lahi perfectly captured the school's spirit: fun, inclusive, and proudly Filipino.

Spirit of LNHS Shines at SIGLAKAS 2025

SIGLAKAS 2025 at Lungsodaan National High School was more than just games—it was a celebration of togetherness. Without the need for expensive shirts or printing, students, teachers, parents, and the school community came as they were, united by school pride and the joy of playing.

From lively mass dance presentations to friendly matches, the event was filled with laughter, cheers, and healthy competitions where everyone had a chance to join—because in LNHS, everybody can play. More than the medals and scores, SIGLAKAS 2025 was about enjoying the moment, supporting each other, and proving that school spirit doesn’t need to cost much—it just needs heart. 💛♥️💗💙🤍🖤

LNHS SIGLAKAS 2025 Kicks Off in Full Color!

Lungsodaan National High School opened SIGLAKAS 2025 on August 7 with a lively 2 PM parade around Lungsodaan, followed by the opening program at the covered court. Present were School Principal Maria Lury A. Lagumbay, District PESS Coordinator Cristito Olarte, School PESS Coordinator Neil Charlee B. Lagumbay, and the barangay officials led by Hon. Dionesio Baclayon Sr., Punong Barangay. Teachers, parents, and the entire school community came in full force to cheer for the competing empires: Terranova (G7), Ignis (G8), Aeris (G9), Aquareign (G10), Luminous (G11), and Umbra (G12).

Highlight of the day? The Search for Best Faction Muse and Es**rt—with Mary Jane Merez (G10) crowned Best Muse and Lourd Jathniel Cudia (G9) as Best Es**rt. With sportsmanship, talent, and LNHS pride in full display, SIGLAKAS 2025 is officially off to a winning start!

LNHS Holds School-Based Journalism Training for Coaches and Student-Writers

Lungsodaan National High School conducted a one-day training titled “The Journalist in You: A Comprehensive School-Based Journalism Training" at Edith and Eden's Resort, Cat-iwing, Hinundayan, to capacitate teacher-coaches and student-journalists in both English and Filipino.

The training featured seasoned RSPC and NSPC-winning coaches as speakers:

Joseph Añavesa (News Writing)
Conchita Timkang (Copy Reading & Headline Writing)
Rodel Escolano (SciTech Writing)
Dojane Locsin (Editorial Cartooning)
Mayflor P. Uy (Radio Broadcasting)

Supported by School Principal Maria Lury A. Lagumbay, the event was spearheaded by school paper advisers Deborah A. Albuera (English) and Adonis C. Atop (Filipino), marking a vital step in honing the journalistic skills of young campus writers.

Today, we celebrate the remarkable 26 years of service of Ma'am Hermenia A. Sultia at Lungsodaan NHS. As she begins a new chapter at Canipaan NHS her high school alma mater and now closer to her family - we send her off with gratitude and love.

In the words of our principal, Mrs. Maria Lury A. Lagumbay, "She is not only an educator, but also a family, a friend and most of all, a fighter."

📣 First Day of School | S.Y. 2025–2026
LNHS officially opened the school year with a flag-raising ceremony led by HT II Rosalinda Tictic and Danilo Gamolo. A short but inspiring message was delivered by our beloved school principal, Ma’am Maria Lury A. Lagumbay.

The event was attended by a great number of students, along with our dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff. Here's to a productive and meaningful school year ahead!
