GUNPLA BUILDERS WORLD CUP 2023
PHILIPPINE QUALIFIERS

CONTEST MECHANICS:
 To join all participants must register online at https://bandai-hobby.net/GBWC/philippines/index.html
starting July 5, 2023, to September 15, 2023, and exclusively for Filipino citizens residing in the Philippines.

 All participants need to submit photos of their finished entry for later verification no later than September 15, 2023.

 The pixel size of each image must be within 4000 pixels on each side.

 Please refrain from editing or manipulating the image to change the impression of the actual work, except for brightness adjustment or cropping.

 The number of images submitted must be at least 5 and no more than 10. (A total of 5 images are required: front, back, left, right, and one appealing point)

 Image files exceeding the specified size and format will not be accepted. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.

 Your work must maintain the same pose in all images.

 All entries must consist of genuine GUNPLA kits.

 Only works created by the applicant will be accepted and must register in his/her name. Commissioned work is NOT allowed.

 Only one application per person will be accepted.

 Entry can be PAINTED, REMODELED, MODIFIED, SOLID FORM (OOTB), or DIORAMA using any scale of the official BANDAI Gundam Model Kit from any Gundam series.

 The size of the submitted work must be 50 cm (H) x 50 cm (W) x 50 cm (D) or (19.68in x 19.68in x 19.68in)

 Parts created using 3D printers will not be subject to examination in the judging process.

 Entry must be newly made for this contest. The entry that had been entered previously in any Bandai Gundam local or international contests is NOT allowed. Repeat entries will be disqualified.

 Applicants who apply to each course shall be deemed to have agreed to these guidelines.

 The contest has 3 courses and will be classified accordingly.

1. U-14 Course: 14 years old or younger (Born on or after January 1, 2009)

2. U-20 Course: 15 to 20 years old (Born on or after January 1, 2003 - Born before December 31, 2008)

3. Over 21 Course: 21 years old and older (Born on or before December 31, 2002)

*Minors must have the consent of a parent or guardian to enter.

 The participant is only allowed to join one course and can only submit an entry once.

REQUIREMENTS
Participants are required to present the following upon submission of actual entry:
 Gundam model kit box/boxes of the entry with Ban Kee LTO sticker.
 Valid ID with date of birth
 Participants must be registered on the Bandai Hobby website and able to send entry photos before September 15, 2023

SUBMISSION:
 Submission of an actual entry is on September 30 & October 1, 2023 (SAT & SUN) 11:00am – 8:00pm at the Atrium of Robinsons Magnolia, Aurora Blvd. Quezon City.

 No online registration no entry policy.

 DTI representative will monitor the submission of entries and the number of participants.

 All participants are eligible to obtain an official badge of the GUNPLA BUILDERS WORLD CUP 11th TOURNAMENT upon submission of entry.

 Participants must submit and display the actual entry personally. We will not allow any representatives. Posing and preparing of the entry must be done by the owner only.

 All entries will be photographed by the GBWC Organizers during the submission of entries and later send to Bandai for judging.

 All entries will be on exhibit until the awarding of winners.

 All entries will be checked even after it’s already been submitted and awarded to ensure that follow the contest regulations. Non-compliance with the contest regulations will result in disqualification. The organizer’s decision is final, prior to DTI approval.

 The organizers reserve the right to refuse to accept participants who are not able to present the contest requirements.

JUDGING:
 GBWC entries will be judged by BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division judges and model magazine editorial board judges in Japan.

 GBWC organizers will take and send all the GBWC entry photos to BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division judges, and model magazine editorial board judges for judging.

 Criteria for judging (GBWC Point System):
Craftsmanship 100% Quality of design and work, Painting 100% Line paint and body decoration, Idea 100% Originality & Total look of the entry. TOTAL 300 %

 Judging will be done by our panel of Judges in Bandai HQ in Japan on 東京都港区芝五丁目29-11 G-BASE 11F on 6th Oct 1:00pm.

 DTI will assess the list of winners.

 In case of a tie, the judges will re-judge the entries to break the tie and determine the final winners.

AWARDING:
 The awarding ceremony is on October 8, 2023 (SUN) at 3:00pm at the Atrium of Robinsons Magnolia, Aurora Blvd. Quezon City.

 All participants are encouraged to attend the awarding ceremony.

 The first-place winners of each course will advance to the GUNPLA Builders World Cup Finals and will be appointed as the Philippine Representative. GBWC Finals will be done online in December 2023. Details of the World Cup will be announced to the participants later.

 Claiming of entries is on October 8, 2023, at 5PM.

 The contest is open to all Gundam enthusiasts except employees of Ban Kee Trading Inc., Toys “R” Us, and its advertising agency including their relatives up to the second degree of affinity or consanguinity.
 Participants must be Filipino citizens residing in the Philippines.

 We prohibit the entry of a work that encroaches or may encroach upon any third party's portrait rights, intellectual property rights such as copyright, and any other rights. The participant will be fully responsible for its settlement as well as any cost which may occur in case of any disputes resulting from the submitted models. The participant is also responsible for compensation for any damages to BANDAI and or the third parties.

 In claiming the winning or non-winning entries and/or prizes, participants should present a valid ID and a copy of the entry form. In the case where the owner/maker of the entry is not available to claim his/her entries and/or prizes, an authorization letter, copy of the entry form, and a valid ID should be presented before the organizer releases the entries and/or prizes being claimed. If entries and/or prizes are not claimed after the announcement of winners, participants will be notified through a phone call, email, and registered mail.

 Unclaimed entries and/or prizes can be claimed at the Marketing Department of Bankee Trading Inc. Head Office at #6 Rest Haven St. SFDM Quezon City; a valid ID and a copy of the entry form is a must to claim the entries and/or prizes.

 Trophy and Gundam model kit prizes are transferable but not convertible to cash or in any other form.
 20% TAX for prizes exceeding P10,000 shall be paid by the winner.

 Unclaimed prizes and/or winning or non-winning entries within (60) days from notification shall be forfeited in favor of Bankee Trading Inc. with prior approval from DTI.

 Works of applicants, descriptions, and other details which are against any rules and regulations for this contest will be disqualified from the contest without any prior notice. BANDAI SPIRITS have the right to disqualify the applications or delete images from the website if the model is or may be considered as listed below.

1. Use of copied and counterfeit GUNPLA is prohibited.
2. Works that violates or may violate any third party's portrait rights, intellectual property rights such as copyright, and any other rights are prohibited. (i.e.: No company logos, trademarks, or product lettering (etc.) maybe used (unless prior permission has been obtained from their respected right-holders).
3. Works that are contrary to morality or public order are prohibited.
4. Works that contain personal information are prohibited.
5. Works that contain slanderous expressions toward specific persons or groups are prohibited.
6. Inappropriate works which are not consistent with the purpose of this competition are prohibited. (Including but not limited to political expression.)

 The entrant will be fully responsible for any settlement as well as any cost which may occur in case of any disputes resulting from the submitted models. The entrants is also responsible for compensation of any damages to BANDAI SPIRITS and/or the Third Parties.

 If any substantial additions, alterations, modifications, etc. are discovered during the selection process, works will be disqualified at that time.

 The use of the name "GBWC" by applicants for commercial purposes is prohibited, regardless of the method or manner of use.

 Entrants must agree that all intellectual property rights (including rights under Articles 27 and 28 of the Copyright Law in Japan) related to the submitted work, including copyrights based on the GUNPLA (including option parts), belong to our company or to a third party designated by us.
