The Gender Literacy and Advocacy Culmination event, held at the Barangay Hall Caridad in Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur, marked a transformative journey guided by Maam Myrna Perigo, the GLAD Project Leader. The event saw the participation of key figures such as Hon. Catalino Suerte, Brgy Captain of Caridad, Dr. Flordeliza Estillore, Principal of CES, Mrs. Carlota Jabla, BHW Incharge, Dr. Moises Glenn Tangalim, Campus Administrator, and Prof. Ricky Egos, Extension Director. Together, they spearheaded change and celebrated progress at the Mabanag Spring Resort. Amidst laughter and conversations, the faculty and staff indulged in a sumptuous dinner spread. The tables adorned with festive decor set the stage for a delightful culinary experience, fostering community as everyone savoured delicious bites under the twinkling stars.

The spirit of giving thrived as faculty and staff exchanged heartfelt gifts. The thoughtful gestures reflected the bonds forged within the academic community, enhancing the sense of connection and appreciation among colleagues.

The JHCSC Open Ground became a canvas for vibrant memories as faculty and staff engaged in spirited pictorials. Groups and individuals captured the joy of the After Party, creating visual mementoes that would serve as a timeless reminder of the shared laughter and camaraderie.

As the night progressed, the festivities took on a rhythmic beat with a disco that echoed with infectious energy. Faculty and staff showcased their dance moves, revelling in the euphoria of the moment until the clock struck 10 PM. As the After Party drew close, the J.H. Cerilles State College - Dumingag faculty and staff bid farewell to KASADYA 2023 with hearts full of gratitude and memories that would linger like stars in the night sky. Simultaneously, the Function Hall became a stage for the Pinning Ceremony honoring the distinguished Criminology Senior Students, aptly named the "Matikas Class of 2023-2024."

The MOA signing marked a significant milestone for SOCJE, forging alliances that would strengthen educational initiatives and enhance the learning experience for aspiring criminologists. Representatives from various institutions joined hands in a symbolic gesture of commitment and collaboration.

The Pinning Ceremony, themed around the valor and excellence of the Matikas Class, saw senior criminology students donning their badges with pride. A pin represented academic achievement and a commitment to upholding justice and integrity in their future endeavors. Family, faculty, and friends gathered at the J.H. Cerilles State College - Dumingag Campus Funtion Hall to celebrate the accomplishments of the Matikas Class, offering heartfelt congratulations and well-wishes as they embarked on their journey beyond the academic realm. In a collaborative effort to foster creativity and language skills, the faculty, staff, and interns of the Bachelor in Elementary Education (BEED) program recently conducted a rewriting activity at Caridad Elementary School. The chosen theme for the day was "My Bestfriend," aiming to encourage students to express their thoughts and emotions through the written word.

The event brought together seasoned educators, dedicated staff, and enthusiastic interns who shared a common goal of nurturing the students' love for writing. The activity kicked off with a brief introduction by the BEED team, emphasizing the importance of friendship and the impact it can have on a child's development.

"It's heartwarming to witness the students engage so passionately with the topic. The activity not only hones their writing skills but also allows them to reflect on the significance of friendship in their lives," remarked one of the faculty members.

The Caridad Elementary School echoed with laughter and the sound of pencils scribbling on paper as students poured their hearts into creating stories about their best friends. The diversity of perspectives brought a rich tapestry of narratives, showcasing the uniqueness of each child's bond with their closest companions.

As the day concluded, the BEED team gathered with the students to share and celebrate their rewritten pieces. The event served not only as a platform for creative expression but also as an opportunity for the faculty, staff, and interns to connect with the students on a personal level.

The BEED faculty, staff, and interns left Caridad Elementary School with a sense of fulfillment, knowing that they had contributed to the educational and emotional development of the students. The event reinforced the importance of collaborative efforts in fostering a positive learning environment, leaving a lasting impact on both educators and students alike.

In a collaborative effort, the BEED faculty, staff, and dedicated student interns recently visited Caridad Elementary School on November 22, 2023, with the Grade VI Pupils and CES Teachers to kick off their innovative writing extension project. The focal point of this activity was to engage students in enriching writing activities centered around the theme "My Family."

The BEED team brought a dynamic approach to the learning experience, fostering creativity and expression among the young minds at Caridad Elementary—the project aimed to enhance writing skills and encourage self-reflection and communication within the context of family relationships. During the site visit, the BEED team interacted closely with students, guiding them through various writing exercises designed to explore the unique aspects of each student's family life. The engaging activities sparked imagination and promoted a sense of community and shared experiences. Caridad Elementary School's administration appreciated the BEED program's commitment to education and innovative approach to fostering literacy skills.

The collaborative effort between the BEED faculty, staff, student interns, and the local school showcased the positive impact such projects can have on students' academic and personal development.
