The Pag-IBIG Fund Dumaguete branch will deploy its Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels to several cities in Negros Oriental and Siquijor island to make its services more accessible to members and non-members.

Bernard Barrera, marketing and sales supervisor of Pag-IBiG Fund Dumaguete branch, said services provided under Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels are updating and verification of Pag-IBIG membership; receiving of multi-purpose loans; retirement or death claims; Modified Pag-IBIG II (MP2), offsite enrollment and issuance of Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus, employer and member registration, and inquiries on other programs.

Barrera encouraged members and non-members to avail of these services on Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels, a Pag-IBIG Fund mobile branch.

Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels will be in Bayawan City at the Bayawan City Hall grounds fronting executive building on October 17, 18, and 19; Bais City fronting Bais City hall on October 20 and 21; Guihulngan City at the Guihulngan City auditorium on October 24 and 25; and in Larena, Siquijor at the Queengate Center on October 26 and 27, and in Siquijor, Siquijor at the Siquijor Capital Square on October 28.

Safety Barriers installed

Several barriers were installed at the Ceres terminal Dumaguete City after a Bus overshoot and accidentally hit passengers waiting at the lounge.

Meanwhile, the injured passengers were later discharged from the hospital and safely home in Minglanilla, Cebu. Minor Bruises were reported at the victims, The Ceres management said.

Su***de in Dauin

A su***de incident was reported in Brgy Bulak, Dauin, Negros Oriental at around 7:00 PM of July 18, 2022.

The Victim is one Anton (not his real name) 30 years old, an OFW and a resident of the said Barangay.

Initial investigation revealed the victim hanged himself inside their residence using a nylon rope tied around his neck.

Police further investigation said the victim had a misunderstanding with his former live-in partner after he arrived home from abroad last June 2022.

The Dauin Police coordinated immediately with the Municipal Health Officer for the Post Mortem Examination.

Busted in Calindagan, Dumaguete City

A Suspected drug peddler was arrested in Prk. Mutya, Brgy. Calindagan, Dumaguete City led by the operatives from the City PNP Drug enforcement Unit on July 9 at 10:32 PM.

The suspect is one “Christopher” 45, Married, and a resident of the said Barangay.

Several plastic sachets were recovered believed to be containing illegal drugs of Shabu with street value estimated at P136,000.

A Violation of RA 9165 will be filed to the suspect. He is now at Dumaguete PNP for proper disposition.

Ang dinakpan giila nga si Christine Dacumos, 36, residente sa 27th Street-Calamba sa Barangay 2.

Si Lt. Col. Arnel Solis, tigpamaba sa Police Regional Office-Western Visayas, niingon karong Miyerkules nga gisusi pa sa mga operatiba ang tinubdan sa suplay sa ilegal nga drugas nga nasakmit gikan ni Dacumos.

Atol sa operasyon, gibaligya sa suspek ang poseur-buyer nga gidudahang shabu nga gibutang sulod sa usa ka dako nga knot-tied transparent plastic sachet nga nagkantidad og P220,000.

Cache of guns recovered by Search Warrant in Tanjay Yesterday

An OPLAN “PAGLALANSAG OMEGA” or the implementation of Search Warrant was conducted on June 28, 2022 at around 6 in the morning at the residence of a certain “Antonio” in Sitio Busay, Brgy. Sto. Niño, Tanjay City, Negros Oriental.

Operatives from CIDG Negros Oriental PFU (Lead), together with 2nd PMFC and Maritime Group-Dumaguete City in coordination with Tanjay City PNP.

In a Search Warrant issued by the Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 43, Tanjay City, Negros Oriental, resulted to the recovery of several fi****ms and ammunition in the said residence of the suspect.

The search was done in an orderly manner in the presence of the arrested person and witnessed by a Brgy. Kagawad, Brgy. Secretary, Brgy. Tanod and some residence of Brgy. Sto. Niño, Tanjay City.

A complaint for Violation of RA 10591 against the arrested suspect is now being readied for Inquest Proceeding.

ARRESTED FAKE DENTIST

An operation against Illegal Practice of Dentistry resulted to the arrest of a suspect was conducted by the operatives from CIDG NEGROS in a Pension House along Brgy. Looc, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental on June 15, 2022 around 6:20 PM.

MARWA aka “Precious”, 23yo, former Brgy. Kagawad of Brgy. Ilian, Bacolod Kawali, Lanao Del Sur.

In a press statement from NORPPO PNP, The CIDG NEGOR together with the Philippine Dental Association-Negros Oriental and Dumaguete PNP conducted an entrapment operation which resulted in the arrest of the accused.

She was caught in the act or INFLAGRANTE DELICTO while engaging in Illegal Practice of Dentistry without authority from the law and other pertinent papers to practice.

The arrested suspect was brought to CIDG along with the evidence for booking procedures and documentation.

The Operating Unit of 62nd Phillipine Army turned over to PNP Guihulngan an alleged member of the New Peoples Army after he was caught in his possession and control one unlicensed caliber 45 pistol with live ammunition on June 12, 2022 at 2:30 in the afternoon.

The arrested Person is one “Macario” 50years old, a resident of Sitio Anahaw, Brgy Trinidad, Guihulngan City Negros Oriental.

PNP Guihulngan said the suspect failed to present license to possess fi****ms or any legal documents. He is now under the custody of the police for proper disposition.

Drowning incident in Mabinay

A 24 year old was drowned after trying to save another one from drowning in Mabinay Spring Lake, Brgy. Tadlong, Mabinay, Negros Oriental

The Victim was identified as “Lendron” 24 years old from Brgy. Tagpo, Bais City, Negros Oriental.

In a press release from Mabinay PNP, the incident happened around
3:30 PM of June 5, 2022.

Initial report said, a certain “Junjie” 19 years old and the victim was swimming in the lake when he had muscle cramped and shouted for help. The victim tried help him and with the lifeguards on duty, he was immediately brought to the lake side.

While they were busy attending to the first victim, unknowingly, the other victim was also drowning.

He was rushed to the Mabinay Medicare Community Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by attending physician Dr. Rimel Von Patula.

2 MEN SHOT IN BAYAWAN CITY, NEGROS ORIENTAL

Two men were hurt after being shot by a yet unidentified gunman in Brgy. San Roque, Bayawan City this morning, June 2, 2022.

Police identified the victims as security guard Alvin Sarito, 27, and Omar Cantutay, 24.

Both victims are residents of Dayhagan, Tayawan, Bayawan City.

Initial police reports say Sarito and Cantutay were both riding a motorcycle on their way home Thursday morning when the gunman fired at the victims several times.

Both victims were brought to a hospital for medical attention.

As of writing, police are conducting a manhunt to arrest the gunman.

This is the second shooting incident in Bayawan City this week.

Ang pulis giila nga si Police Corporal Xexres Espadilla nga sakop sa 1ST PMFC.

Sa report sa One Mindanao sa GMA News, nga ang pulis nangutana sa front desk sa maong inn kung asa na ang babaye nga iyang kauban, apan way gikatubag ang mga staffs sa dapit.

1. Alan , 49 yrs old, male, married, Escaño Beach Dumaguete city;

2. Nana , 43 yrs. old, single, resident of Brgy. Tinago, Dumaguete city,

3. Jovito, 56 a resident of Brgy Tinago, Dumaguete City Neg.Or.

Asoy sa taho sa kapolisan nga ang mga suspetsado ang nasikop tungod sa taho o impormasyon nga nadawat sa kapolisan nga adunay mipahigayon ug pot session usa usa ka abandonado nga construction site sa naasoy nga lugar hinungdan nga nasikop ang mga suspetsado.

RUSSIAN NATIONAL ARRESTED for VAWC

A foreign national was arrested in violation of RA 9262 or commonly known as VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN in Brgy. Jawa, Valencia, Negros Oriental on May 24 at around 11:40 in the morning.

The Suspect is one “ANDREI”, 48yo a RUSSIAN NATIONAL, and a resident of the abovementioned place of arrest.

In a press released to the media, personnel from CIDG Negros Oriental together with PNP Valencia arrested the suspect of 3 counts of violation.

The Warrant of Arrest was issued by the presiding judge of RTC branch 31, Dumaguete with recommended bail Bond of Php72,000.00.

He was immediately brought to CIDG NORPPO office for booking procedures and documentation.

MIPAHUWAY sa dayon na ang giilang "Queen of Philippine Movies," nga si Susan Roces sa edad nga 80.

Ang subo nga balita gikumpirma sa anak niyang si Senator Grace Poe sa Facebook post niini.

"With great sadness, we announce the loss of our beloved Jesusa Sonora Poe, whom many of you know as Susan Roces. She passed away peacefully on a Friday evening, May 20, 2022, surrounded by love and warmth, with her daughter Grace, her nephews Joseph and Jeffrey and many of her family and close friends. She lived life fully and gracefully. Remember her in her beauty, warmth and kindness. She is now with the Lord and her beloved Ronnie — FPJ. We will miss her sorely but we celebrate a life well lived. Susan Roces — daughter, mother, grandmother, a true Filipina and a national treasure."
