I just want to take some time to look back on those early days when I was just starting my little business..

It was in the last week of October this year.

Just a month ago.

But it felt like many moons away because I now have more than 15 social media pages on my plate, and still counting. 💕

Like anyone who brave their way to start something that scares them, and something that they will do all by themselves.

You see, for 5 years I was fine and doing okay working for other people and friends.

Starting my own business makes me feel like I am a little puppy lost in this big, big world..

A month ago, I was doubting myself.

Asking myself if do I have what it takes to be that creative for clients to hire me and pay me for my skills.

It took 1 agonizing weeks for people to start following my page and liking my posts..

When I saw the Likes slowly coming in and I am receiving the support of these first few awesome people.

My first 50, is what I call them.

It boosted my confidence to the roof! 🚀

It may just be a little thing for you guys, but it means alot to me. 🥰

I have a stable income now because of this page.

Here's a very basic way to create a mood board on Canva.

For my brand, I wanted to create a feel of island vibe and playful goth.

I usually choose 5-6 kinds of colors. They consist of:
2 happy bright colors
2 lighter colors
1 or 2 dark colors

These color combinations will create contrasts and harmony when designing my content. The choice of fonts will help you attain the kind of appeal that you want to communicate.

Are you temporarily closing your business to save on operating expenses until the crisis passes and you can open up again?

Should you still post consistently on your social media pages even if you are not open, yet?

The answer is a huge, resounding "YES!"

Sad to see that there are a lot of businesses that neglected their social media accounts.

They post once a month, or worse, once every 3 months..

They lose followers and their customers are under the impression that they are not on business anymore.

And by the time they reopen, their customers would feel a sense of "disconnection" from your brand.

Then, you will have to start all over again..

To avoid this, you have to post a few interesting content at least 3x a week.

This is just a small dose of reminder to your audience and customers that you are still in business and you will be back soon.

And while they may temporarily jump their attention to your competitors, rest assured that when you reopen, you will get them back. 😎

Plus, on a personal level, this will keep your fire and entrepreneurial spirit alive. ❤️
