I extend my sincerest commendation to the brave and dedicated operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) for their exceptional teamwork and vigilance in the successful anti-drug operation conducted on January 25, 2025, at Barangay Central, Dipolog City. This significant operation is a clear demonstration of our shared commitment to safeguarding the future of our city and protecting our communities from the destructive impact of illegal drugs.
The operation led to the seizure of approximately three kilograms of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P20.4 million, a significant blow to the drug trade in our region. This accomplishment also resulted in the arrest of a high-value target, alias Darwin, a 47-year-old resident of Barangay Sta. Catalina, Zamboanga City, and a driver by profession. Alias Darwin now faces charges for violating Section 5 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and is currently in custody.
This is a testament to the unwavering dedication of our law enforcement agencies, whose tireless efforts ensure that those who dare to peddle illegal drugs in our communities are held accountable.

Sa tanang dautan nga nagplano magdala ug droga diri sa Dipolog, kini usa ka kusgan nga pasidaan alang kaninyo: 𝐒𝐚 𝐃𝐢𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐚 𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐲𝐨 𝐚𝐲 𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐨𝐭. 𝐖𝐚𝐠 𝐧𝐲𝐨 𝐧𝐚 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐮𝐤𝐚𝐧!
𝐒𝐚 𝐦𝐠𝐚 𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐲𝐚 𝐨𝐠 𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐚, 𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐰 𝐧𝐚 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐨 𝐨𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐧. 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢 𝐧𝐚 𝐧𝐚 𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐲𝐨 𝐤𝐚𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐦𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐲 𝐮𝐧𝐲𝐚 𝐦𝐨.
The fight against illegal drugs is not just the responsibility of our law enforcement agencies but of every member of our community. Together, we must remain vigilant and proactive in reporting suspicious activities and supporting programs that uplift and empower our people.
Under my leadership, we will continue to implement initiatives that strengthen our partnerships with law enforcement, educate our youth, and provide livelihood opportunities for those most vulnerable to the lure of illegal activities. Let us unite in building a city where every family, every community, and every individual can thrive in a safe and drug-free environment.
To the PDEA and PNP, we thank you for your courage and sacrifice. To the people of Dipolog, let us remain steadfast in our resolve to uphold peace, safety, and dignity in our beloved city.
