Students from New Corella National High School-Senior High School (NCNHS-SHS) excelled at the recently concluded district research congress held at Macgum Integrated School.
With a mission to present research that makes a meaningful impact on society, NCNHS-SHS students showcased a variety of qualitative and quantitative studies, earning top awards in both oral and poster presentations.
Grade 12 student Aiyah Rose Manliguis, coached by Mharla Abenoja, secured first place in the qualitative oral research presentation. Similarly, Kate Amanda Loreen Palmero, guided by coaches Bryan Benegian and Jester Alejan, achieved first place in the poster presentation. In the quantitative categories, Grade 12 students Hubert Ian Penaso, coached by Nikki Paye Javinez, and Stefany Faith Hibaya, mentored by Cee Jae Darunday, both claimed first place in their respective oral and poster presentations.
Research coordinator Mharla Abenoja expressed her immense pride in the studentsโ achievements, highlighting the schoolโs commitment to developing learners who are not only academically strong but also socially aware.
She emphasized the importance of equipping students with the skills to analyze societal issues and propose viable solutions.
Moreover, the winners will advance to the division research congress level.
