HAPPY 62nd PAROCHIAL AND TOWN FIESTA - STO. NIÑO PARISH OF MABINI 💛❤️

THE HISTORY OF FLUVIAL PROCESSION OF MABINI

The first Fluvial Procession, which took place in the year 2017, encountered several challenges, including strong waves and adverse weather conditions. However, when the prayer began during the procession, a sense of great faith prevailed, and an instant calm and peace replaced the turbulence. This event, which takes place every year during the Feast of Senior Sto. Niño, has become a significant source of blessing not only for the people of Mabini but also for the natural resources, especially the seascape of Mabini Davao de Oro.

This annual event has also earned recognition and support from the other religion and sect. They have witnessed the abundance of marine resources within the oceans of Mabini ever since the fluvial procession started, now celebrated for eight years. The procession has become a symbol of unity, faith, and the harmonious relationship between the people and the natural environment.

Here is an exclusive interview with Rev. Fr. Raymond Suela, who initiated the first Fluvial Procession in Mabini.

62nd PAROCHIAL FIESTA OF SR. STO. NIÑO
MUSIC: "BATO BALANI SA GUGMA MEANS MAGNET OF LOVE: This is what the Visayan phrase means.
It refers to the image of the Santo Nino in Cebu, deeply loved by our people from of old: Sa daang tawo pinalangga.
Tradition relates that it was the image given by Magellan to Rajah Humabon in 1521 after Humabon and his wife and their people were baptized.
