The UNited Group of Active Youth Association in collaboration with Islamic Development Bank-Graduates Association through the cooperation of Sulanting ing members has distributed a total of 70 bags Personal Hygiene kits to the affected residents due to typhoon in Sitio Madtalbayog, Datu Piang, Maguindanao.

The said distribution was done by house-to-house distribution to the beneficiaries while the other are still at the road with the tents because their houses are still filled with the floods caused by the typhoon.

𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝘂 𝗣𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴, 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗴𝗽𝗮𝗴 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗬𝗟𝗣!

Ngayong araw ginanap ang muling pagtitipong ng mga Kabataang Bangsamoro na hinasa ng Bangsamoro Youth Leadership Program ng Ayala Foundation katuwang ang Bangsamoro Youth Commission.

Ang Team Datu Piang sa pangunguna ng BYLP Fellow at UNGAYA, Inc. Executive Director Rasul Mantawil kasama si Mohammad Haryzz B. Tuan ay muling namayagpag kasama ang iba pang Fellows sa City Mall, Cotabato City sa Project Showcase ng BYLP kanina, October 18.

Ipanakita ang mga production videos, publication materials na gawa ng mga SulanThinker, at ang paglalakbay nila at ng Team sa isinagawang Project Sulanting noong Pebrero 2022. Bilang paggunita sa mga mahuhusay na programa at produkto ng Bangsamoro sa ilalim ng nasabing Leadership Programme, nagbigay ng 20,000.00 ang BYLP bilang seed grant sa bawat fellows upang maipagpatuloy pa ang kani-kanilang mga nasimulan.

Muli, maraming salamat sa mga suporta at tulong ng handog ninyo upang maabot natin ang isang tagumpay para sa ating mahal na Datu Piang!

Join us and witness as the 30 fellows of the Bangsamoro Young Leaders Program - Leadership Communities (BYLP-LeadCom) culminate their year-long fellowship program through the BYLP Project Showcase to be held on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at City Mall Cotabato, Cotabato City.

The time has come to meet our ever young and supportive guests, and active youth speakers for 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙎𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜.

We are very honoured to have with us 𝗔𝘆𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗜𝗻𝗰. in partnership with the 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 for this 𝗕𝗬𝗟𝗣 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗖𝗼𝗺 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 grant, and of course, an amazing support from𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝘂 𝗣𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴.

We would also like to emphasize that our 𝗦𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 of this project are actually coming from our very own 𝗕𝗬𝗟𝗣 - 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗖𝗼𝗺 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝘂 𝗣𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 and happens to be the convenors of this project.

They will be discussing their own experiences and knowledge of 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺, 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲, 𝗩𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗘𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 that will serve as an exemplary foundation for the aim of Sulanting, bringing more shine to Datu Piang.

PROJECT SULANTING IS NOW OPEN FOR APPLICATION!

Datu Piang is a beautiful and unique municipality within Maguindanao Province with rich culture and history that any of its constituents can be proud of. Due to the effect of wrong disseminated information, it has been branded as one of the dangerous area, as it has been a venue to many armed conflicts, family feuds, and calamities. Information Dissemination nowadays has a lot of mediums, ways, and technologies that makes it a convenience for everyone from all ages, genders and races. But in most cases, it has been abused and censored that it led to Information Disorder or famously known as “fake news”. Information Disorder has three types, the Misinformation, Disinformation and Mal-information. Though it varies in the level of impact, it was still rampant and negatively flaws the essential of communication.

SULANTING is a Maguindanaon name of an old koresene lamp that was used before as a primary source of light in Datu Piang.

PROJECT SULANTING aims to address the above-mentioned challenges of Datu Piang through creating digital productions showcasing its colourful historical and cultural context, and proving that there is more that this municipality can offer. The project will gather 20 youths from different organizations/squads ages 18-40 years old with an initial background on media-related skills.

We will gather 4 TEAMS (5 youth each team) which has interest and background with media-related skills and each team members must have designated task: Anchor, Scriptwriter, Editor (layout artist), Photographer, and Videographer. This project is a 3 days training workshop particularly on Introduction of Media Information Literacy, Technical Writing, Audio-Visual Production, and Creative Promotion of Datu Piang this JANUARY 2022 (weekend).

The aspiring team members must meet the following qualifications:

✔️ Youth aged 18-40 years old
✔️ Residing in Datu Piang Municipality
✔️ Has interest and background on Media-related skills.
✔️ Must be committed and available to the whole project implementation.

This project was realized by the Bangsamoro Young Leaders Program-Leadership Communities Batch 2 (BYLP-LeadCom) funded by Ayala Foundations and in coordination with the Bangsamoro Youth Commission , Australian Aid and in partnership with LGU - Datu Piang. The team was composed of youths from different organization, spearheaded by the BYLP LeadCom Fellow at the same time Executive Director of UNited Group of Active Youth Association, Inc. (UNGAYA,Inc.) Rasul U. Mantawil with his team members: Mohammad Haryzz B. Tuan of Al-Amanah Descendants of Tuan Association (ADTA), Rosda H. Ebrahim of Hegemony from Improvement and Kadsusuled Movement Association (HIKMAH), Baihana T. Palao of Magaslong Youth Organization (MAGAYON), and Nurolhidaya Mentoc of Active Youth Alliance of Dudie-Dalga (AYADD) and our Mentor Ms. Manal J. Sugadol of Ministry of Public Order and Safety.
