𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜 | Following the prerequisite three-day pre-internship seminar for their deployment, Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) College of Education (CoEd) held the 1st Commissioning and Pinning Ceremony for its graduating class of 2025 on Friday, January 10, at the CNSC Main Campus Covered Court.

The ceremony included signing internship contracts with school heads and principals to formalize partnerships between CNSC and Host Training Establishments (HTEs), i.e., cooperating schools.

Pre-service teachers received nameplates pinned to their uniforms and customized journals.

ICYMI | 𝟮 𝗖𝗡𝗦𝗖𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗥𝗖 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰

Student researchers Kobe M. Astronomo (4 BSBA MM) and Marlon Bart D. Cambiado (4 BSBA MM) of Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) College of Business and Public Administration (CBPA) emerged as grand winner of the Category 2 - Undergraduate in the 4th International Research Competition (IRC 2024).

The duo led the final round, a 40% panel interview, to secure their rank.

Ma. Reina A. Mabeza, MBA, and Andrew Emmerson P. Abilgos, MBA, served as their advisors.

Administered by the Institute of Industry and Academic Research Incorporated (IIARI), the virtual awarding ceremony was held on Saturday, December 14, via Zoom and Facebook livestream.

CPALE RESULTS 2024 | 𝗖𝗡𝗦𝗖 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝟲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗣𝗔𝘀

Six alumni from Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) passed the December 2024 Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants.

Per the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), of the six CNSC passers (33.33% overall passing rate), two were first-time examinees while four were previous takers.

The following are the new CPAs from CNSC: Aellana M. Babagay, CPA; Clarisse S. Gonzales, CPA; Faith Arianne L. Moya, CPA; Kathryne Sandra Mae D. Quitay, CPA; Monica Aira S. Sale, CPA; and Jhoana Marie E. Viena, CPA.

PRC reported that 3,058 out of 10,136 (30.17%) applicants nationwide passed the licensure examination.

Initially scheduled for October, the exam was postponed to December due to Tropical Storm Kristine (Trami).

𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 | Camarines Norte, per the weather advisory no. 7 for Tropical Depression (TD) Querubin and shear line, was expected to experience moderate to heavy rainfall (50–100 millimeters) until tonight, December 18, with a possibility of localized flooding in urbanized, low-lying, or riparian (near-river) areas.

LET RESULTS 2024 | 𝗖𝗡𝗦𝗖 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗘𝗧 𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿, 𝟯𝟯𝟬 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗟𝗣𝗧𝘀

Jossel Mae N. Sabido, LPT, a graduate of the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) at the Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) College of Education (CoEd), ranked sixth in the elementary level with a rating of 93.00% in the September 2024 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).

A total of 331 CNSC examinees passed the LET, comprising 90 elementary-level passers and 241 secondary-level passers, across the institution’s campuses.

The results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) showed that among the 90 CNSC passers for the elementary level, six were first takers from CNSC Entienza. Additionally, CNSC CoEd (Abaño Campus) recorded 82 first-time examinees (97.62% passing rate) and two previous takers, constituting an overall performance of 84.85% for the BEEd program.

Meanwhile, for the secondary level, CNSC Abaño Campus recorded a total of 206 passers (70.07%), with 183 being first-time examinees (85.12%). CNSC Jose Panganiban Campus also added 26 passers—16 first-time examinees and 10 previous takers.

Furthermore, CNSC Labo recorded seven passers, including three first-time examinees and four previous takers. CNSC Entienza and CNSC Mercedes registered one successful secondary teacher each.

PRC also announced that 20,025 elementary teachers out of 44,002 examinees (45.51%) and 48,875 secondary teachers out of 85,926 (56.88%) passed the examination.

The examination was held on September 29.

ABELE RESULTS 2024 | 𝗖𝗡𝗦𝗖 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝟭𝟱 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀

Fifteen Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) Labo Campus graduates passed the December 2024 Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers Licensure Examination.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) reported that CNSC Labo achieved a 40.54% overall passing rate, with 11 first-time examinees recording a 57.89% success rate and four previous takers registering 22.22%.

Nationwide, the PRC also announced that 1,479 out of 2,625 examinees (56.34%) passed the examination.

VOLCANO WATCH | 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗼𝗻 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗲𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝘀, 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝟯-𝗸𝗺 𝗽𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗲

Kanlaon Volcano erupted today, December 9, at 3:03 p.m., which produced a voluminous plume reaching 3,000 meters above the vent, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

Alert Level 3 was prompted, with the potential for more explosive eruptions. All residents within the six-kilometer radius of the volcano’s summit were urged to evacuate.

𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜 | The Disability Inclusion Student Organization, in partnership with the Center for Equity, Inclusivity, and Diversity (CEID), brought together students with disabilities, faculty members, and non-teaching staff on Thursday, December 5, at Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) Main Campus Student Activity Center to celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPWD).

To also mark the ongoing 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, the program (Empowering Inclusive Development in Academia: Fostering Leadership to Bridge Gender Equality and Disability Rights, Enhance Medical Services, and Combat Violence for a Safer Future) featured a series of seminars, including discussions on women in leadership, an overview of the country’s cybercrime law, and a medical assessment session focused on eye care.

Meant to push for accessible and improved services within the institution, the CNSC Dental and Health Clinic also participated in the program.

𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜 | Students across Camarines Norte specializing in business and entrepreneurship courses, along with senior high school students from the General Academic Strand (GAS), Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM), and Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) track, convened for the third-year Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BSE) student-led VentureVerse 2024 on Tuesday, November 3, at the Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) Main Campus.

Attendees heard from industry experts and seasoned entrepreneurs who offered insights on innovation, market development, and practical business strategies during the convention.

Students then pitched entrepreneurial ideas to translate their concepts into viable proposals in a series of competitions in the afternoon.

Participating schools included the host institution, Camarines Norte State College, alongside Mabini Colleges, Inc., Alawihao National High School, Basud National High School, Camarines Norte National High School, Ripple of Hope Skills and Technology Institute, and Our Lady of Lourdes College Foundation.

Forty civil engineering graduates from Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) secured their career bids in the November and December 2024 Civil Engineering Licensure Exam (CELE).

From the results released by the Philippine Regulation Commission (PRC) today, December 5, CNSC accumulated an overall passing rate of 50.63%, where 35 were first-time takers (60.34%) and five were previous takers (23.81%).
