🎉🥳MRG Christmas Party with theme "Hawaiin Party" 🌺

What a night! I truly enjoyed jamming with my fellow runners, sharing laughter over the fun dancing games, raffles, and more. It was a joyful celebration that brought everyone together.🥳

Getting to the venue was a bit of a challenge, though. The heavy rain and Friday traffic made it a tough journey, but I’m grateful for my Angkas driver, who got me there safely despite the busy Friday rush.🙏

A big thank you to the MRG family for acknowledging all the winners from our fun runs, I truly appreciate the recognition. It’s heartwarming to be part of such a supportive and fun community.🙏🙏🙏🫰🫶💖

Kudos to the committees who put so much effort into preparing the beautiful venue decorations and ensuring everyone had a great dinner. Your hard work and thoughtful gestures didn’t go unnoticed.🙏 To all sponsors, Gobless po.🙏

Running in the rain was really helpful for cooling down the body. Although it was a bit of a hassle running on a wet track, and the shoes felt slightly heavier, it was manageable and overall worth it!🌧🙏🫰

Grateful for today's achievement, finally finished my first-ever 21km for this year! 👐

I'm thrilled to have placed 1st in my age category, though my knees are not totally definitely feeling it now. Aguy, sakit-sakit gyud tohod! 🤣 Naka long na gyud..🙈🫶

The run was fantastic, from the race course to the well-prepared water stations. The cold water, banana, and Gatorade at the last turning point for 21km were lifesavers! 🙏

Kudos to the organizers for the generous raffles even though I didn’t win, I was truly amazed at how galante (generous) everything was. Big congrats to all the raffle winners! 👏

Congratulations to all finishers, especially my Mandaue Runners Group & to ADR family. You all inspire me! 👏

This was my first time joining this event, and it did not disappoint. The surprises and the experience were unforgettable! Thank you, Cebu Landmasters, Inc. , and congrats to the organizers for a job well done. 👏👏👏

Isla del Fuego means "Island of Fire."🔥

Gunstart: 1am
Event: Isla del Fuego Marathon
Venue: Boulevard, Siquijor
Distance: 42kms full marathon

This year marked my first marathon, and what a journey it has been long from start to finish. Grateful that I enjoyed the experience and, most importantly, made it back home safely.🙏

Unexpectedly, I finished with a sub-5-hour time something I hadn’t trained for. I think the real preparation was in my mind throughout this marathon journey. There were moments when I almost gave up, but my determination kept me going, even as I walked a few miles. I realized that running is as much about training the mind and body to push through as it is about physical endurance.🙂🫰🫶

Before heading to the venue, I prayed that I could manage the pain and fatigue, hoping my legs wouldn’t feel too sore and that my vision wouldn’t blur along the way. "I even talked to my shoes, telling them to help me make it to the finish line." When I reached the halfway point, near the turning point at the Balete Tree, I thought about quitting. But with encouragement from fellow runners and the marshals along the route, I found my resolve to continue. Even though I was among the slowest, I finished strong.🙏🙂

The pain was inevitable, given my lack of training, but I listened to my heart and tried not to give up, even when my legs were sore. I didn’t use any energy boosters because I hadn’t trained with them before, and I knew it wasn’t a good idea to try something new on race day. The only things I had with me were salt, water and ointment to ease the discomfort.😬

A big thank you to the committees who spent sleepless nights, just like us, ensuring water and food stations were available, and to the police officers and Navy personnels who took care of our safety. The route itself was well-lit throughout, and the shining moonlight helped guide us during the night.🫶🫰🙏🌝

I’m grateful to have made it back to the finish line, safe and sound.

A special thank you to my sister for being there and supporting me throughout this journey.🙏🫶

PS: The plaques for the top 3 in the 42km category will be provided as soon as they arrive from the vendor, as confirmed by the committee.

I’m truly grateful for the unexpected result and honored to have been named Champion🥇 in the female category for the Sub 5 event at ISLA DEL FUEGO Marathon 2024 of Nov. 17th in Siquijor Island.🫰🙏

The squad from Cebu City👋

I had a wonderful short visit in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, known for its vibrant paint and flowers. I joined the yearly Pintaflores Half Marathon, which was my first experience with my teammates, and I truly enjoyed it. A heartfelt thank you to our generous hosts for their hospitality, from accommodations to delicious meals and guiding us to beautiful spots on the island. I am so grateful for this memorable first visit to the city and for the exciting running experience—it was an absolute blast!🫰😍👌👐🙏

I'm grateful for the wonderful weather we enjoyed throughout our journey.

Running here with the squad feels so much more fun and exciting! It was an unexpected bonus to finish in the top 5 and become the champion in my age category for the women's 10K. I'm a happy finisher!🫰

Congratulations to the entire team Team EWIT and the organizers for hosting such a successful event! Your hard work truly paid off.💪

First time mora kog nag trail sa marathon kai gadala og trail bag. Saon gina secure nako ang water og nag haplas de lana though unlimited ang water stations after 2kms or more but much better naa ma sip og need moinom.
