Highlights | Closing Ceremony of the Candidate Officer Qualifying Course (COQC) at Isabela State University - Echague Campus.

On May 4, 2024, the 202nd Community Defense Center held the Closing Ceremony of the Candidate Officer Qualifying Course (COQC) at Isabela State University - Echague Campus in Isabela. Lieutenant Colonel Ricmar P. Aquino GSC (RES) PA, the Battalion Commander of the 202nd Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion, was the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

In his motivational speech, he highlighted that discipline and training are pivotal in cultivating leadership skills.

This occasion was a vital turning point in shaping cadets into future leaders of our nation.

Highlights | Training Day

The Isabela State University - Cauayan City ROTC Unit conducted their 9th training day headed by Maj Marlon Q Velasco PA (Res), Commandant together with other Training Committee and led by C/Col Ma Cynthia D Fajardo 1CL and the Advance Officers.

Cadets perfomed drillings involving each platoon doing its usual routine to strengthen their cohesion and unity. Hence, this routine contributes to the development of a well-trained and coordinated ROTC unit capable of executing its missions effectively.

The Isabela State University - Cauayan City ROTC Unit conducted their 7th training day headed by Maj Marlon Q Velasco PA (Res), Commandant together with other Training Committee and led by C/Col Ma Cynthia D Fajardo 1CL and the Advance Officers.

The drills and ceremonies training session focused on mastering the precise movements and coordination required for marching with arms. This training is fundamental to instilling discipline, unity, and professionalism within the unit.

The Trainees also participated in a Clean-Up Drive to exemplified the collective effort and commitment towards creating a cleaner, healthier environment.

After the physical training, lecture on "Knot Tying" was facilitated by 2CL Julienne Agbayani. The lecture aims to instill a fundamental skill useful in various activities like camping, sailing, rock climbing, fishing, and more. This also enables the Trainees to apply these skills confidently and adaptively to ensure safety in various situations.

Before the day ends, 4CL Officers demonstrated the Movement Formations which includes Wedge, Squad File, Squad Line and Squad Column on the training field.

The Isabela State University - Cauayan ROTC Unit headed by Maj Marlon Q Velasco PA (Res), Commandant together with the TAC NCO's, GMA's and Advance ROTC Officers lead by C/Col Ma Cynthia D Fajardo 1CL, Corp Commander took their drills and ceremonies.

The Advance and Basic ROTC cadets to improve their performances and to become a snappy cadets. The value of leading by example and also providing positives direction.

ROTC | Training Day

On 160700H March 2024, Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) Cadet and Cadettes gathered in the field to start the day; then checking of attendance initiated by the Advance Officers. Afterwards, trainees perform the usual drillings and ceremonies (marching with arms) under the direction of Advance Officers. The day was carried out successfully.

ROTC Training Day

The 15th training day was commenced on 27th of January, 2024 in the Isabela State University-Cauayan Campus. Trainees assembled in the field to start the training day; then checking of attendance initiated by the Advance Officers. Followed by the ex*****on of the usual drillings and ceremonies (marching with arms) with the help of 1CL and 2CL.

Afterwards, Lecture and Practical of M16 rifle Assemble and Disassemble were skillfully instructed by PFC Arjay Alfaro PA (RES) and PFC Dexter Agbayani PA (RES). The said activity was supervised by Msg. Jerald Aragon PA.

Before the day ends, checking of attendance initiated by the Advance Officers. The day was carried out successfully.
