Training Day!

The 13th training day was carried out on 20th of January, 2024 in the Isabela State University-Cauayan Campus. Trainees gathered in the field to start the training day; then checking of attendance initiated by the Advance Officers. Later on, the trainees started the ex*****on of the usual drillings and ceremonies (marching with arms) with the help of 1CL and 2CL.

After the physical training, Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC), the Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS), and the Literacy Training Service (LTS) were gathered at the Gymnasium to attend the Symposium about Security Awareness conducted by the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency Personnel.

Before the day ends, checking of attendance initiated by the Advance Officers. The day was carried out successfully.

The Local Government Unit of Tagaytay hosted the Luzon Qualifying Leg of the Philippine ROTC Games (PRG) 2023 on September 17-23, in Indang, Cavite.

The day begins through Platoon Formation and checking of attendance initiated by the Advance Officers.

Afterwards, the Cadets and Cadettes completed their midterms examination, which scopes were the lectures that had been discussed. Followed by the ex*****on of the usual drillings that involved each platoons performing "Lakad Patakda and Pasulong" under the direction of the Advance Officers.

Before the day ends, Final checking of Attendance initiated by the Advance Officers. The training was carried out successfully.

LOOK | ISU-CC ROTC UNIT PINNING OF RANKS

The Isabela State University conducted Pinning of Ranks of MS 31/41 of first semester for the A.Y. 2023-2024 on 11th November 2023. The Pinning of Ranks were led by Col. Randy L. Pagunuran, Commandant, Cpt. Junamy O Labastida, Philippine Army Reserve and fellow classmates.

The said activity were also attended by the NSTP Director Dr. Aquim D. Verzon, ISU-CYN Coordinator Mr. Nissan B. Ramirez MsCrim, Dr. Jojo P. Bautista Crim, Ms. Marry Grace M. Juanan, ROTC coordinator of the Isabela Colleges Incorporated, and other training committee for the pinning of rank.

To the advance ROTC Officers, congratulations for job well done. This means that, higher rank means bigger responsibility. May this Pinning of Ranks ceremony be a stepping stone to greatness.

Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) consecutively exercised it's 6th Training day on Isabela State University - Cauayan Campus.

The training day began as the Inlines gathered in the field. The usual drillings with the manual of arms were then performed. Following the drillings in the field, the Cadets and Cadettes completed their quiz about Basic Unit Formation in the gymnasium of ISU-CC. Before the day ends, lecture facilitated by Ssgt. Jerlymar Manuel PA (RES) with the topic "Military Leadership".

This topic is essential in the military in developing the individualโ€™s traits and qualities to effectively lead others. True to the maxim that โ€œgood leadership is developed not by learning, but by leading".

Day 4 in the Field: ROTC Cadets Show Dedication to Duty and the Environment

The Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) of Cauayan Unit carried out its fourth training day, which included the usual drillings with the manual of arms. This training was led by the 1Cl and supervised by the 2CL. Cadets also took their preliminary examination and conducted a clean-up drive, demonstrating their dedication to both their duty and the environment.

Cadets and Cadettes gathered in the field to begin the day, commencing with the ex*****on of "Lakad Patakda and Pasulong." They then resumed the training on Manual Arms, which was led by the 1Cl and 2Cl, followed by the preliminary examination to assess the knowledge of the Cadets and Cadettes.

After the physical training and preliminary examination, the cadets carried out a clean-up drive with the aim of restoring the cleanliness and enhancing the environment of the school campus.

Before concluding the training, a lecture was conducted by Ssgt. Jerlymar Manuel PA(RES) on the topic "Basic Unit Formation," which took place at the ISU-CC Gymnasium.

Officers and cadets inline assembled in the field to start the day. Ex*****on of marching and "Proper riffle handling techniques" were also practiced. The training day was facilitated by Sgt. Aaron Dominic Cachuela PA (RES) and 2CL Aaron Villianueva and Arianne Faye Cepeda.

Isabela State University's Cauayan Campus reverberated with an atmosphere of pride and accomplishment on June 30, 2023, as it celebrated the momentous graduation day of its Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) cadets.

The event marked the culmination of their rigorous training and the beginning of their journey as future leaders, ready to serve their nation with unwavering dedication.

The graduation ceremony, held at the ISU-CCC field, attracted an enthusiastic audience composed of families, friends, faculty members, and distinguished guests. The ceremony commenced with a solemn invocation, followed by the singing of the national anthem, evoking a sense of patriotism and unity among the attendees.

Amidst a backdrop adorned with the university's colors and the ROTC emblem, the ceremony proceeded with a series of inspiring speeches from notable individuals. Dr. Precila B. De Lima, the university Executive Officer , delivered a heartfelt address, commending the graduates for their commitment, resilience, and unwavering desire to protect and serve their country.

"As you embark on this noble path of leadership and service, remember the values instilled in you during your ROTC journey, the honor, courage, and commitment," Dr. Precila stated.

With the presence of Assistant Commandant 2LT RUBYLYN LOPEZ PA (RES) and NSTP Director of ISU-CC, Dr. Aquim D Verzon and the ROTC Coordinators and Implementers. Together with Graduate Military Assistants and officers from different Campuses of Isabela State University.

The highlight of the event was the giving of recognition and certificates to the Advance Officers, symbolizing their successful completion of the ROTC program. One by one, the cadets approached the stage, their faces beaming with pride and anticipation, as they received their hard-earned award from esteemed military officials and university faculty members.

Following the ceremony, a distinguished guest, COL RANDY L PAGUNURAN INF (GSC) PA, delivered an impassioned keynote address. He spoke of the profound impact ROTC training has on developing future leaders, stressing the importance of the skills and values acquired during their journey.

"Today, we witness the birth of a new generation of leaders, molded by the principles of ROTC," COL RANDY L PAGUNURAN INF (GSC) PA proclaimed. "Your unwavering dedication, discipline, and readiness to serve will shape the future of our armed forces and the nation as a whole." He added.

As the ceremony drew to a close, the graduates, adorned in their crisp uniforms, marched in unison, displaying the remarkable precision and unity instilled through their training. The spectators erupted in applause, their hearts filled with admiration for the graduating cadets' accomplishments.

In an emotional moment, the graduates took their oath, vowing to defend the constitution, protect the people, and serve the country with honor and integrity. Their voices echoed through their own room reserved only for their takehomes embodying the spirit of sacrifice and duty that will guide them in their future endeavour.

In an impressive display of discipline and teamwork, Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) cadets are currently engaged in intense Pasikat practice sessions. With the annual Pasikat competition drawing near, these cadets are leaving no stone unturned in their quest for excellence.

The Pasikat practice, known for its rigorous training regimen, serves as a platform for cadets to showcase their physical abilities, synchronized drills, and unwavering commitment to their roles as future leaders. Held at the Isabela State University Cauayan Campus, this year's practice sessions have been a source of inspiration for both participants and onlookers.

Under the watchful eyes of experienced instructors, the cadets execute each drill with military precision. The synchronized movements and perfectly timed routines are a testament to their hard work and dedication. The atmosphere is charged with a palpable sense of camaraderie as these young cadets push themselves to new heights.

"The Pasikat practice is an incredible opportunity for us to challenge our limits and grow as individuals and as a team," Mark Angelo Aban (Corps Commander) said.

In a remarkable display of dedication and commitment, the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) Cauayan Unit concluded its final training session today, marking the end of an era for the aspiring cadets. The event not only highlighted the cadets' hard work and achievements but also underscored the program's significant impact on the local community.

Under the guidance of experienced instructors and mentors, the cadets of ROTC Cauayan Unit have been diligently participating in rigorous training exercises over the past year. Today's final training session showcased the culmination of their efforts and marked an important milestone in their journey towards becoming responsible and disciplined future leaders.

Throughout the training period, the cadets have undergone a comprehensive curriculum, which included physical fitness drills, tactical maneuvers, leadership development, and civic engagement initiatives.

The Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Cauayan Unit witnessed a remarkable display of discipline and camaraderie on its 16th day of training as cadettes and cadets united in their pursuit of excellence. Amidst the lush green fields of Isabela State University Cauayan Campus, the dedicated officers of the 2nd and 3rd Class took charge, leading the platoons through a series of rigorous drills and exercises.

The day's training began with a focus on fundamental marching techniques, as cadets honed their skills in executing the precise commands of "Lakad Patakda" (Forward March) and "Pasulong" (Advance). These maneuvers are essential components of the upcoming "PASIKAT" performance, where the Cauayan Unit aims to showcase their proficiency and teamwork.

Under the watchful eyes of the higher-ranking officers, the cadettes and cadets synchronized their movements, embodying the principles of discipline and unity. The training session served as a valuable opportunity for participants to refine their coordination, timing, and overall performance, ensuring a seamless and impactful display during the much-anticipated event.

"PASIKAT," the pinnacle event for the Cauayan Unit, is an annual showcase of talent, discipline, and dedication. It serves as a platform for the cadettes and cadets to demonstrate their acquired skills and impress the spectators with their synchronized drills and captivating performances. Reserve Officer Training Corps Cauayan Unit carry through its 13th training day at Isabela State University Cauayan Campus at exactly 7:10 AM in ISU field.

The day begin through Platoon Formation and checking of attendance initiated by Advance Officers from ISU-CC and Isabela Colleges affiliated.

Next, is the Cadettes and Cadets resume the training on Manual Arms. After physical training, Final Examination was held in the ISU-CC Gymnasium headed by PFC. MARIO J. NIร‘O (INF) PA Chief clerk/Admin Nco and C/Ltc. ANGELA HERIZ PINEDA 1cl (ISU) together with C/Ltc. KEITH GRETHEL G. MANGAUI 1cl (IC) Executive Officer, as for the benefit of inline to their analytical trainings as well.

Armored with discipline and perseverance, ROTC Cauayan Unit is close to their goal and mission where which they become the leaders and a follower of future generations.

As one of the National Service Training Program (NSTP) component, Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) consecutively exercised its 10th training day on Isabela State University Cauayan Campus as their training ground.

The training day started as the inlines gathered in the field with their designated platoons. Third time of whole day training for Regional Annual Administrative Tactical Inspection (RAATI) 2023 needs real time preparation and effort to reach its goal.

As the training began, cadets and cadettes were committed to fulfill the dayโ€™s successful training. Drilling that involved each platoon doing its โ€œLakad Patakda and Pasulongโ€ under the leadership of the C/P2LTs. The training day also highlights the perfecting of โ€œ Proper riffle handling techniquesโ€ of Cadettes and Cadets.

After the drill in the field. Midterm examination started at exactly 10:00 AM onwards in the gymnasium of ISU-CCC. Facilitated by Advance Officers and Graduate Military Assistants (GMA). After inlineโ€™s analytical test, lecture follows, lead by 1CL Mark Angelo Aban(Corps Commander). The talk emphasizes the โ€œ Rope techniques โ€œ. As this lesson is an essential skill for military personnel, and cadets and cadettes can benefit greatly from learning it.

Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Cauayan Unit sow the seeds of consecutive trainings as part of the National Service Training Program (NSTP) of Isabela State University Cauayan City Campus.

Cadets and cadettes gathered in the field as they hear prolong-word "Pulutong" guided by Platoon Leaders.

They started the drill involving the ex*****on of each platoon's "Lakad Patakda and Pasulong" under the direction of the Higher Officers. The Regional Annual Administrative Tactical Inspection (RAATI) 2023 was anticipated, and this practice was regarded as a preparation.

After the drill in the field, cognitive training were also part of the activity for ROTC, talk about " Squad Tactical Operation and Battle Drill", lead by C/Col 1CL Mark Angelo Aban (Corps Commander). Platoon and squad leaders use mission tactics to accomplish a mission.

While battle drills are the necessary building blocks for elements to conduct complex combat operations without loss of life from tactical or accidental hazards.

Furthermore, with the active involvement, guidance, and support of the higher officials. Their presence brought credibility, expertise, and a sense of purpose to the training program made the training day successful.

DREAM COMMAND Team from Isabela State University Cauayan are always ready on their task.

As part of their training program, they begin the day with their routine exercise to help their cardiovascular system function more effectively and provide oxygen and nourishment to their tissues.

Medics are on enhancing and still eager to learn more ways on how they could reach out and help the community in the sense of volunteerism, that is why an exclusive training and talk were organized by NSTP Director Aquim Dumlao Verzon for the benefit of DREAM COMMAND Team.

Project A.B.K.D (Awareness of Bombs that Kill lives and Destroy properties) emphasizes their goal as they chose Isabela State University-Cauayan City as their audience for learning, held inside of the Food Laboratory.

Before the seminar started, an invocation lead by Princess Khaye Managuelod were done. Followed by brief message and informations regarding the event were elaborated by NSTP Director Aquim Dumlao Verzon.

During the session, PMSG Roberto A. Najchuman, officer from the Provincial Police Office and Cauayan City Police Statation by which the PNP- Explosive Ordinance Disposal and Canine Group (PNP-EODCG) Guest Lecturing and Training Office emphasized the importance of being proactive, knowledge about Bombs.

The seminar talks about different kinds of Bombs, and how each type of Bomb react and how strong and loud it is, and foremost how dangerous it could be when exploded.

After the lecture, the Officers in charge together with other PMSG and PNP-EODCG, done a simulation activity outside the venue and in participation are the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Officers as the victims and suspect.

The DREAM COMMAND Team is essential in reacting to bomb situations and minimizing the harm they cause to people and property. After simulation, Medics also did the realistic act of saving lives and rescue after Bomb explosion in a particular area.

Their main goals are to rescue lives, offer medical aid, and guarantee the safety of survivors and those who have been harmed. Being equipped with knowledge of such emergence and accidents can have an impact on individuals like them to respond and offer a hand without hesitations.

The Seminar was designed to provide the DREAM COMMAND Team with skills and information needed to respond successfully during emergencies.
