Ace Frondozo firmly believes that "learning is a continuous and ongoing process, a lifetime process." This dedication to lifelong learning has been the driving force behind his success as a talented graphic designer and illustrator. After graduating from Partido State University, Ace embarked on a full-time career as a Senior Graphic Designer. However, his journey into the world of design and visual arts began much earlier. From a young age, Ace nurtured a deep passion for creativity, expressing himself through doodling and sketching.

During his high school years, Ace took the initiative to teach himself the intricacies of Adobe Photoshop, laying the foundation for his future as a self-taught graphic designer and illustrator. This early exposure to the digital arts paved the way for his decision to pursue a career in graphic design and visual communication after completing his college education. Ace's specialization lies in creating visually compelling and impactful solutions for his clients. He thrives on the challenge of translating ideas into captivating digital illustrations and designs that effectively communicate his clients' messages. Retro Vibes is a dynamic band from the towns of Tigaon and San Jose. The group started out on April 15, 2023 with the simple goal of playing music and bringing joy to people. However, their passion and talent quickly gained recognition, leading to a string of impressive achievements.

They captivate audiences with their unique fusion of classic and contemporary sounds. Seamlessly blending genres from disco and cha-cha to alternative rock and reggae, the band showcases remarkable versatility that has earned them top accolades on the local music scene.

Most notably, Retro Vibes emerged as the champion of the prestigious Battle of the Bands event held in Lagonoy on April 6, 2024. Building on this success, the band then secured the coveted first-place position at the Musikanasyon Tigaw 2023 competition. Their musical prowess was further demonstrated in a previous Battle of the Bands event in June 2023, where Retro Vibes claimed the second-place spot.

These achievements from 2023 and 2024 solidify Retro Vibes' status as masters of musical fusion, able to transport listeners through a captivating journey across eras and styles.

🎨𝗣𝗔𝗚-𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗯𝗶𝗱 | 𝗥𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗬 𝗗. 𝗕𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗭

Kumusta po? Ako si Rizaldy D. Benitez, 27 taong gulang, mula sa Tagongtong, Goa, Cam. Sur. Wala na akong ama at ina. Apat kaming magkakapatid, isang babae at ako ang bunso. Lahat sila ay nakapagtapos ng kolehiyo, habang ako naman ay nagtapos lamang ng Senior High School, Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) sa Juan L. Filipino Memorial High School sa Buyo, Goa, Camarines Sur. Hindi ko na naipagpatuloy ang aking pag-aaral sa kolehiyo. Wala rin akong regular na trabaho at kadalasan ay nagtatrabaho sa kung saan-saan.

Noong kinder pa lang ako, napansin ko na ang aking hilig sa mga shapes. Hindi ako nakapag-daycare at diretso na akong pumasok sa kinder. Ang aking paborito ay ang bilog, rectangle at nakasulat na ako nang nasa 3 taong gulang pa lang. Noong Grade 4, natutunan ko ang mag-sketch, at hindi ko makakalimutan ang mga dibuho na gaya ng dragon balls at Naruto. Noong Grade 5, nalimitahan ang aking hilig sa mga tribal tattoos. Nang ako'y mag-16 taong gulang, lalo pang lumawak ang aking talento sa sining. Noong 2018, nakagawa na ako ng portrait at iba't ibang klase ng paintings, tulad ng Lion King at mga sapatos na aking ginawa. Ito ang aking unang mga gawa na akala ko'y hindi ko kayang gawin, ngunit sa huli'y tila hindi na parang praktis lamang. Ang aking style ay mahina sa imagination, ngunit pinakamahusay sa pagkopya sa mga bagay na nai-didibuho ko, gaya ng nakikita sa mata ko. Noong tumigil ako sa pag-aaral, naging hilig ko ang manonood ng YouTube para matuto ng iba't ibang teknik sa sining.

Nagamit ko rin ang aking talento sa pagdidibuho, kung may nananawagan sa akin para sa mga proyekto ng mga estudyante at iba pang kliyente.

Subalit, ang katotohanan ay hindi ang sining ang pangunahing hilig ko, kundi ako'y isang "runner" o atleta noong aking panahon sa Palarong Bikol nang nasa 3rd year. Naging blogger din ako at may 48k na followers sa TikTok, kung saan ang mga video ko ay tungkol sa pagtakbo. Ngunit napigilan ito dahil nabanned ang aking channel.

Lagi akong sumali sa iba't ibang contests sa paaralan, tulad ng sining at congressional na nakarating ako sa Caramoan, ngunit lagi akong talo hanggang sa ako'y nanalo. Natutunan ko roon ang tumanggap ng pagkatalo at magpalakpak sa tagumpay ng iba. May mga certificate pa ako, ngunit nawala noong kami'y lumipat ng bahay.

Naging bahagi rin ako bilang isang robotic dancer sa grupong CWC, at kasali din ako sa dance group na hip-hop sa aking paaralan. Lubos akong nagpapasalamat sa mga g**o na sumusuporta sa akin, lalo na kay Sir Rolando Merencillo Jr. na naging trainer ko sa atletismo at naging disiplinador, at kay Ma'am Jean Asor Merencillo, Ma'am Lidovina Pinsahan, at Sir Gilmor Paron Dacillo na nagtulong sa akin upang makatapos ng pag-aaral noong panahon ng aking pusong nababalisa.

Sa kasalukuyan, nagtatrabaho ako sa iba't ibang larangan, at sinubukan ko na ring iba't ibang oportunidad, ngunit wala akong nakitang naaangkop sa akin. Kaya minsan, napupuyat ako sa mabibigat na gawain. Nababahala ako sa aking kamay at pulso, baka mawalan ito ng lakas. Ngunit alam kong may paraan para dito, tulad ng paggamit ng labi, o pagkagat ng lapis. Alam kong mahaba pa ang aking buhay, kaya hindi ako nagkakaroon ng kahinaan ng loob. Alam ko rin na tayo'y magkakaiba ng oras at panahon sa buhay, kaya sa lahat ng mababasa nito na katulad ng aking pinagdaanan, hindi kayo dapat mawalan ng pag-asa.

Roger Barachina Merabil Jr. is a visual artist and professional tattoo artist. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design degree from the prestigious University of the Philippines.

In addition to his academic achievements, Rodge is also a member of the Partido Tattoo Artist Guild (PTAG), a respected organization that represents and supports tattoo artists in Partido.

As a visual artist, Rodge’s work showcases his exceptional skills and creative vision. His pieces often feature intricate designs, bold colors, and a unique blend of traditional and contemporary elements. Rodge’s artistic prowess is not limited to the canvas; he also applies his talents to the human canvas, creating stunning and meaningful tattoo designs for his clients.

Rodge’s also actively participates in various tattoo contests. His participation in these events allows him to continue honing his skills and challenging himself as an artist. His ability to translate his clients' ideas into visually stunning and deeply personal works of art has made him a favorite among both seasoned tattoo enthusiasts and those seeking their first tattoo experience.

Rodge’s dedication to his craft is further demonstrated through his involvement in organizing tattoo competitions. These events provide a platform for tattoo artists to showcase their skills, network with peers, and push the boundaries of the art form. Emil B. Competente is a talented individual who discovered his true calling in photography and videography under the mentorship of his former boss, the former Board Member Jj Pilapil. For nearly 6 years, Emil honed his skills as Jj's personal photographer and videographer, developing a deep passion for the art of visual storytelling in the process.

Even after parting ways with Jj, Emil's enthusiasm for his craft only continued to grow. This led him to join the LGU San Jose, where he has served as a photographer and videographer up to the present day. Emil's unwavering commitment to his work is evident in the fact that he has steadfastly remained in this role for several years, a testament to his dedication and professionalism.

What's particularly inspiring about Emil is that, despite coming from a family where both his parents were deaf, none of the six siblings - four boys and two girls - inherited this condition. Emil is the middle child in this close-knit, hardworking family, all of whom were raised to be kind and well-rounded individuals.

Emil's diverse work experience, which includes a stint as a construction worker, showcases his versatility and adaptability. Far from being a hindrance, Emil's ability to take on different roles and challenges has undoubtedly contributed to his growth and success.

This family story of overcoming adversity through hard work and determination is truly admirable. Emil's path demonstrates that with the right mindset and opportunities, one can overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles and discover meaningful passions, as he has done with photography and videography.

Furthermore, Emil is also a graduate of the TESDA Electronics NCII program, which he completed with gratitude and a sense of accomplishment. This additional qualification has likely contributed to his well-rounded skill set and his ability to navigate various professional challenges.

🎨𝗣𝗔𝗚-𝗥𝗼𝗸𝘆𝗮𝘄 | 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝘆𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗱𝗼

Evan Respeto is a 25-year-old artist, born in Taytay, Goa, Camarines Sur. Evan’s love for art developed in a young age through his Uncles Erasto Respeto, Edgardo Respeto, and Virgilio Vista Jr. who had skills and interests in art. In grade school, he was known inside his class as that student who produces outstanding drawings, which led his Grade 5 class Adviser Russel Pineda to put him in Editorial Cartooning. As a result of such trainings provided by Bagbaguin elementary school and his teachers, he earned awards and recognitions at inside and outside school competitions. Some of the highlights as a student in Caybiga high school was joining the school publication as Editorial Cartoonist, and being selected in making huge props/backdrops during school competitions. In 2018, Evan had the opportunity to meet and get to know the one and only Maestro Rafael Maniago, who then became his life mentor. He was blessed to have met Master Maniago as he was imparted with knowledge including techniques/strategies in arts which are very helpful in his career now. Maestro Maniago is already based in Los Angeles but once in a while visits the Philippines and they make sure that they get to meet and do drawing/painting sessions which also serves as their bonding.

For almost a decade now, he has been committed in his art especially in drawing and painting portraits. Not so long after following what he truly wants, he was featured in different online platforms. In 2019, the popular television show GMA Kapuso Mo, Jessica Sojo featured one of his artwork “Lolo Sibot” which gained appreciation from thousands of netizen. Prior to this, he was also featured in magazines and books – Hyperrealism Magazine (2018), Long Live Art Book (2018), book cover winner also in Artful Creations by Carmi which was created and published by Ms. Carmi R. Rotoni (2019), and Steel Jackdow Magazine (2021). He was also declared as Champion in Sergio Osmeña Jr. Day Portrait Painting Contest hosted by Cultural and Historical Affairs Office in Cebu (2020), as well as Jose Rizal National Portraiture Competition (2022) hosted by the Eagle Eye Art Gallery in Makati City.

Through watching videos in the internet, Evan has recently indulged himself in various breathtaking sceneries our country has to offer. He started to love travelling for he gets the chance to witness through his eyes the beauty of our nature. That is why right now, while doing such portrait commissions, he decided to take interest in landscape painting as he was mesmerized with the beauty of the Philippines. From May up to June this year, he took his time to visit his hometown here in our humble province. In doing so, he decided to create his first-ever landscape painting series featuring the diverse parts of Camarines Sur. And we could not wait for these surely remarkable artworks to be published hoping for many of us to see and appreciate…

Evan also dreams that one day, he would be able to fully share his journey to people who believes and trusts his arts. And to give back with the people who supported him from the very beginning, he’d like to become a teacher himself in order to share knowledge and support the future generations of artists.

Paul Vincent T. Berce is a talented ceramic artist hailing from Tagongtong Street in Goa, Camarines Sur. With a mantra of "Imagination without limits," Berce has dedicated his life to creating captivating works of art.

Berce's artistic journey began at a young age, as he started exploring traditional and digital realistic arts during his elementary school years. After graduating from Partido State University, he has gone on to establish himself as a renowned ceramic artist, now based in Dubai.

Though he has not yet received any major awards, Berce's skills and dedication suggest that accolades are likely in his future. His diverse portfolio features a wide range of intricate and imaginative ceramic pieces that showcase his mastery of the medium.

Berce is actively engaged with his growing audience across multiple social media platforms. On Facebook, he can be found under the name "Paul slice of art," while his YouTube channel is titled "PaulSliceofArts ." 🎨𝗣𝗔𝗚-𝗣𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼 | 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗦𝗨𝗕𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗣 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥 𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗦

Lany Icamen is a performing artist from Salogon, San Jose, Camarines Sur. Her passion for music blossomed from an early age, as she was born into a family that crafted guitars, played instruments, and sang songs. Her inclination towards music was undeniable, and she began honing her skills during her childhood years. During her elementary school days at Salogon Elementary School, Lany was an active member of the Drum and Lyre Corps, laying the foundation for her future musical endeavors.

As Lany progressed through her high school years at Salogon High School and San Rafael National High School, she continued to nurture her musical talents. She was a choir member at Salogon High School and the St. Raphael de Archangel Parish Choir in San Rafael, Tigaon, Camarines Sur. Lany also served as the band leader of the Salogon High School Drum and Lyre Corps, showcasing her leadership abilities within the music community.

Lany's dedication to music only deepened during her college years at Partido State University. She was a member, trainer, and conductor of the Partido State University Performing Arts Choral from 2011 to 2015. Additionally, she was a performing artist for the Local Government Unit of San Jose from 2011 to 2015, further honing her skills and expanding her musical repertoire.

After completing her Bachelor of Secondary Education degree in 2015, Lany continued to share her musical expertise. She served as an adviser and conductor for the Partido State University Performing Arts Choral from 2015 to 2019 and took on the role of choir trainer for various groups in Goa, Tigaon, San Jose, and Lagonoy, Camarines Sur. In the present day, Lany holds several prominent positions within the music community, including the choirmaster of the San Jose Partido Serenata, the adviser and trainer for the Salogon High School Majorette, Drum, and Xylophone Corps, and as a member of the 4-Tuned Quartet Band in Partido.

Lany's dedication and talent have been recognized through various awards and accolades. As a trainer, conductor, and choirmaster, she has led her ensembles to success, including a 3rd Place finish with SJP Serenata at the LCC Paskong Tinig Caroling Competition in 2023, a championship with the ParSu Performing Arts Chorale at the Christmas Choral Competition in Tigaon, Camarines Sur, in 2017, and a 3rd Place finish with the ParSu Performing Arts Chorale at the Christmas Choral Competition in UNC, Naga City, in 2016. Lany has also achieved individual recognition, including a 1st Place in the Mixed Duet Competition at the ParSU Literary, Music and Dance Competition in 2013 and a 1st Runner Up in the Milo Cheer Dance Competition (College Division) in Naga City in 2013.
