ST. JOHN THE APOSTLE ACADEMY OFFICIALLY PROCLAIMED THE NEWLY ELECTED SUPREME STUDENT GOVERNMENT OFFICERS FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2024-2025

St. John the Apostle Academy is a Catholic school that gives importance to institutional core values, “Servant Leadership." On September 4, students from elementary, junior, and senior high school filed their Certificate of Candidacy. The next day, the school officially announced the different party lists for elementary, the S.M.AR.T. (Student Movement for Responsible Task) and BINIS (Batch of Innovative N’d Intellectual Students). For junior and senior high school, the S.T.U.D.Y.A.N.T.E. MUNA (Empowering Students Through Unity and Diversity for the Youth Aiming with Novelty Transparency and Equality Mag-aaral UNA) and V.O.I.C.E. (Voices of Inspiration, Change and Excellence) showcased their sincere intention to serve and lead by citing their planned platforms to achieve transformative leadership. Then, room-by-room campaigns took place last September 6, allowing the candidates to be introduced and encouraging students to vote wisely. Miting De Avance has been conducted on September 9 before the election, where final speeches and endorsements occurred and were witnessed by students, parents, and teachers. The school election happened on September 10 at exactly 10:00 in the morning, and it was facilitated by Senior High School COMELEC under the guidance of Mr. Roberth Gache with the help of teachers, and also the event was documented by Mr. Norben S. Octa and Mr. Ralph Joshua Tario.

The results of the election were proclaimed at 3:00 in the afternoon on September 11, 2024 at the school quadrangle led by Mrs. Zarah Jean Martinez for elementary and Sir Roberth Gache for high school. During the proclamation, Sister Gilda S. Villador, AMP and Sister Crisanta Baclig, AMP delivered an inspirational talk about leadership that greatly inspired the newly elected officers.

Starting in the 2nd century, Catholics venerated Mary as Our Lady of Consolation, one of her earliest titles of honour. The title of Our Lady of Consolation, or Mary, Consoler of the Afflicted, comes from the Latin Consolatrix Afflictorum. It is found in the Litany of Loreto.

The origin of this invocation is derived from the Augustinian monks who propagated this particular devotion. In 1436 the Confraternity of the Holy Cincture of Our Lady of Consolation was founded in Bologna, Italy. It was based on an Augustinian tradition which hold that Saint Monica in the fourth century, was distraught with anxiety for her wayward son, Augustine and that Mary gave her a sash which the Virgin wore, with the assurance that whoever wore this belt would receive her special consolation and protection. Along with Augustine and Monica, Our Lady of Consolation is one of the three patrons of the Augustinians. The “Augustinian Rosary” is sometimes called the “Corona (or Crown) of Our Mother of Consolation.”
