Advancing to the next level of the competition, ViewPoint now sets its sights on earning recognition at the upcoming 2025 Regional Schools Press Conference.

The long-awaited intramurals of La Milagrosa Academy, Inc. was held on November 25, 2024, with the theme Inside Out. The day opened with a solemn Novena Mass, that set a reflective atmosphere before students let loose and unleash their athletic spirit. The event was held in a dynamic lineup of sports, such as Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Sepak Takraw, Badminton, and even Mobile Legends, as the digital world comes to compete. A celebration of talent, teamwork, and camaraderie!

Where passion meets teamwork, and every moment is a victory. 𝑳𝒆𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒈𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒏!

My Dove

Her love tastes like wine,
Her hum, like the melodies of songbirds,
Her laugh like a newborn's,
The curve of her lips like the sun's smile.

Every painting reminds me of her,
She's a piece of work — Da Vinci's artwork.
Her lashes bat like tree branches blown by the wind,
Her style like a breath of life,
Her voice as soothing as a mother's,

Her hands as soft as pillows,
Her hair disheveled but beautifully so,
Her glasses tilting to the side unintentionally,
Clueless, as she talks about her likes and dislikes,

How I watch her in a daze,
Lost wondering,
How a woman could be so beautiful,
If God didn't have favorites?

But how could I blame Him?

She's my favorite, too.

So close yet so far,
I feel like I'm admiring a star.
The adrenaline feeling of having a crush
is like an unimaginable feeling and rush.

Cheeks red,
eyes sparkled,
heart beats in a split second.
oh how I wish to admire you this way
but I can only do it by far...

Genuine feelings,
but efforts never counted.
On my little island, my paradise is you
But I am not counted.
Your island and my island are different,
you make her your paradise while I'm deserted

Drunk thoughts, and empty plots
Seeing you admire her like I did to you,
I wish I didn't remember the first time we met.
Love hurts, but I thank YOU happened.

Oh my lost island, why are you so far?
Why is it so hard to reach you?
Why is it hard to love someone whose paradise is someone else than you?

Lampara at Kapirasong Salita

Sa aking paglalayag sa karagatang puno ng malalakas na alon, nakita kita sa gitna ng aking paglalakbay. Hawak mo ang liwanag ng katahimikan at ginawang kalmado ang lahat. Sa puntong iyon, naramdaman ko ang himig ng hangin na nagsasabing "tahan".

Ako ay isang bangka na walang pag-aaring katig at angkla. Hindi ko alam ko saan ako tatangayin ng agos ng tubig. Sinusubukan kong baybayin at lakbayin ang lawak ng karagatan. Subalit, sa aking paglalayag may dumating na unos na siya'ng dahilan ng akin paglubog. Naramdaman ko ang hagupit na hampas ng mga alon at tinangay ako ng malakas na alipuros ng hangin na dahilan ng aking pagkalugmok at napadpad ako sa malawak na dalampasigan.

Sa pagsapit ng gabing malamig, kalmado ang kapaligiran subalit sariwa parin sa isipan ang daluyong na sinapit. Sa puntong madilim na ang lahat, may liwanag akong na aninag mula sa malayo. Unti-unting lumalapit na nagdala ng aking pagkabahala. Nang makarating sa akin ang liwanag, doon ko napagtanto na ikaw pala yon. May hawak na lampara at kapirasong salitang nagpakalma ng magulo kong isipan.

Sa kabila ng aking mga dinanas, ikaw ay nag silbing liwanag o tanglaw sa dilim. Sayo ko naramdaman ang init sa kahalumigmigan ng gabi, sayo ko napagtanto na may kakampi ako, at sayo ko nadama ang tunay na kahulugan ng aking kahalagahan.

Ikaw ang tunay na kahulugan ng salitang 'busilak' at ikaw ang nag alok ng balikat upang aking masandalan sa panahon ng aking paghihirap.

"Hindi ko naman yata ikamamatay kung Hindi ko mahawakan Ang iyong kamay."

These lyrics echoed in my mind as I stared at the ceiling, trying to quiet the storm of thoughts that wondered what could have been if it were you and me.

But it was impossible. I've seen how your smile reaches your eyes when you say her name. How you light up when recounting even the smallest moments with her and how you said your heart raced whenever you saw her mom because it reminded you of her.

I couldn’t blame you; her beauty was breathtaking, so much so that I tried to grasp it with the air. She was full of color, and anyone standing next to her would seem like a mere frame, for she was a canvas beaming life, drawing everyone in with her beauty.

I envied her. I envied how I could only see the curve of your mouth whenever her name was mentioned. I envied how your eyes only lit up for her. I envied how you were so willing to die from tachycardia, as long as it beats for her. I envied how she could turn your entire world upside down. But more than that, I envied how the simplest moments with her were enough to make you feel complete—that you were ready to die—walking her to buy bread in the morning, and how just her presence made your birthday extra special just by being in it.

I wish I could change your mind, make you live a little longer for me. But even more, I wish I could admire you the way you admire her, and find solace in watching you from afar, the way you cherish gazing at her.

But I just couldn’t, because whenever our eyes met, I always find myself unable to move. There's something in your eyes that reaches beyond my soul. There's something in your smile that makes everything lighter than air, how your presence calms me yet makes me crave for morea and how you make my life bearable, not through grand gestures, but simply by existing.

I guess it all ends here: How I can be anything but her, how I could have everything but you.

#𝑳𝑴𝑨𝑵𝒆𝒘𝒔 | 𝑴𝒊𝒍𝒂𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 𝑬𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒍 𝒂𝒕 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒔 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒

Milagrosinians made a significant impression at the Mathematics and Statistics Competition 2024, held at the Rafael Lentejas Memorial School of Fisheries on October 17-18. This year's theme, “Advancing Data and Statistics Through Digital Transformation: A Road to an Empowered Nation,” highlighted the talents of learners from Grades 7-12.

Maria Sabrina Giolagon claimed the championship title in the poster-making contest and will represent Calbayog City at the provincial level. She expressed her gratitude to her coach, Mr. Darius Maynard Sarmiento, and her class adviser, Ms. Clouean T. Mondigo, for their unwavering support. “Mr. Sarmiento encouraged me to explore my artistic skills, and Ms. Mondigo always believed in my potential. Their guidance made a significant impact,” Giolagon said.

Raiza Marcos earned second place in the Grade 11 Sudoku competition, while Lucas Mejia and Shanne Angelias secured third place in the team oral quiz bee. Additionally, Neil Adrian Baito achieved third place in the Grade 12 Rubik’s Challenge.

Other participants also performed commendably, with Dexter Dineros finishing fourth in the Rubik's Challenge and Riana Abalos placing fourth in Grade 12 Sudoku.

Mathematics Coordinator Clouean T. Mondigo praised the students for their achievements, especially given the limited preparation time. “Our students’ dedication and effort have truly paid off,” she stated. “I encourage all our students to continue pushing their limits; this competition has proven that we can accomplish great things together.”

The students' accomplishments were recognized during a flag ceremony, where Sister Agnes J. Infante, FAS, the School Directress, delivered an inspiring address. “Today, we celebrate not only the victories but also the commitment of every student who participated. Our school is home to many talented individuals, and this reflects your hard work. Remember, each challenge is an opportunity for growth and learning. Let’s continue to support one another as we strive for excellence.”

As they look forward to future competitions, the Milagrosinian community remains united in celebrating and supporting their students’ achievements, embodying a spirit of excellence in mathematics and statistics.

#𝑳𝑴𝑨𝑵𝒆𝒘𝒔 | 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗱 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗱 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰

Milagrosinian teacher Ariel V. Beduya has made headlines by winning top awards in both the Portrait and Landscape categories at the recently concluded Lunsod Lunsad Photography Workshop. The event, held from October 24-26, 2024, at the City Engineering Office Conference Hall, drew photographers and educators from across Calbayog.

Organized by Malikhaing Pinoy in collaboration with the Local Government of Calbayog City and the City Economic and Investment Promotion Office, the workshop aimed to inspire creativity under the theme "Boosting Rhythm and Competitiveness." Renowned photographer Khadaffy Manaog served as the resource person, leading engaging lectures and seminars that laid the groundwork for the photography contest.

The contest featured three categories: Landscape, Portrait, and Human Activity. Following the informative sessions, participants showcased their skills, with sir Beduya securing victories in two of the categories.

"This recognition is not just for me but for all teachers who strive to combine creativity with education, as a Milagrosinian, we build spirit of service and social transformation through Arts" Beduya stated during the awarding ceremony.

The workshop attracted a diverse group of participants, including various photographers and teacher coaches, all eager to enhance their skills and contribute to the local arts scene. Beduya’s success underscores the growing interest in photography and the arts within the community, setting a high standard for future events.
