Giants, did you know that in the Philippines, the Christmas season begins in the month of September?

Part of being Filipino is hearing Christmas carols from the street, preparing the festive decorations, and feeling the light radiate the concept that the holiday spirit is almost here!

This begins as the era of celebration for “Ber Months” as it represents the months of September, October, November, and December.

These “Ber Months” usually play along the way as we go through the celebration of Christmas Day!

The newly elected USSG and organization officers were inaugurated at the 4th Floor Administrative Building of the URS Cainta Campus on August 29, 2024, marking the start of a new chapter in student leadership.

Dean of College of Education, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐂. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐳 opened the ceremony with a warm welcome, encouraging the incoming officers to "𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭."Together with the OSDS Coordinator, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐣𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐃.𝐅. 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐚𝐧 and the Campus Planning Coordinator,𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐚, presented awards to the outgoing advisers, USSG, and organization officers in recognition of their successful terms.

𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐔𝐒𝐒𝐆 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨 delivered her final speech, concluding with “𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐲. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠.”

This was followed by Ms. Jasmine David, the COMSELEC Commissioner, outlined the election guidelines before announcing the results. Mr. Edgardo Gunda Jr. from One Partylist, with 308 winning votes, was elected as the new USSG President of URS Cainta. He pledged to ensure that every vote counts, emphasizing his commitment to networking and excellence.

“𝐓𝐨 𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐂𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬,” 𝐚𝐧𝐝 “𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. 𝐁𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬. 𝐈 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐚 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭.” the 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐔𝐒𝐒𝐆 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐄𝐝𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐆𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐉𝐫., concluded.

The OSDS Coordinator 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐣𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐃.𝐅. 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐚𝐧 concluded the ceremony with closing remarks and congratulated and motivated both party lists on the return of a two-party system after four years.

Ms. Jennilyn S. Ramirez and Ms. Jemimah N. Garcia are the ladies of the ceremony.

Congratulations to the newly elected officers for the academic year 2024-2025! May all our goals be achieved this year for the progress and success of URS Cainta.

The echoes of the now-USSG President Edgardo Gunda Jr.'s triumph resonated through the URS Cainta—a landmark moment. ONE PARTYLIST remain unwavering to act as one according to the voting results. The changes of future on URSC will be now according to the wit and tactics of the new leaders.

The new dignitaries will guide the campus into a fresh chapter, nurturing each student's growth and skills, blooming the school to its fullest potential with pride and purpose.

It acts as a mirror that captures and reflects our words, while also documenting and preserving them for the generations yet to come. Today, August 30th, we honor the birth of Marcelo H. Del Pilar, equipped with his pen and paper he fought for our country's freedom.

Del Pilar's relentless fight for freedom of expression and press freedom laid the groundwork for the intellectual resistance that fueled the revolution. In recognition of his contributions, National Press Freedom Day in the Philippines is celebrated to honor his legacy as a champion of the press and the Filipino people's voice.

Protect press freedom from attempts to weaken its advocacy.

Uphold the principles of transparency and accountability.

Protect to safeguard the right of every voice to be heard and respected—because, press freedom is people's voice freedom.

HEADS UP GIANTS!

YES! You have read it right. 𝗡𝗼 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺, 𝗡𝗼 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 is starting 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, as stated in SDS Memorandum No. 2 s. 2024 from OSDS Coordinator, Prof. Marjorie San Juan.

Students are required to 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿 their 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗗 all the time inside the campus based from the URS Student Handbook, Article VI, Section 1.

On the other hand, 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘁 shall be 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗢𝗡𝗟𝗬. Decent or clean haircut should also be observed to all male students within the campus. Tattoos and earrings are strictly prohibited among male students.

Here are the following 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 that are 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱 during school days:

❌ All kinds of shorts and torn or worn out jeans
❌ Spaghetti straps, razor back, tube
❌ Blouses and dresses with plunging neckline or backless
❌ Midriffs, hanging blouses, off shoulder blouses and dresses
❌ Rubber slippers, worn out shoes
❌ Mini or micro-mini skirts (more than 3 inches above the knee)
❌ Body hugging blouses and skirtor poants
❌ Haltered blouses and dresses
❌ See-through attires
❌ Long socks (for girls)

In an effort to ensure a transparent and fair selection process for the upcoming𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐔𝐒𝐒𝐆) officers held on the 4th floor of the Administrative Building, 27th of August 2024. The Commission on Student Election organized the Miting de Advance, it was a moment filled with enthusiasm as candidates from various parties and independents graced the stage to present their platforms and visions for the Academic Year 2024-2025.

The program began with a warm prayer, and was followed by the National Anthem, URS Vision, Mission, Core Values and the School Hymn. The program then surged forward with a commanding welcome address from the masters of the program, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐉𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐳 and 𝐌𝐫. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Commission on Student Election to reminds the duties for the soon-to-be USSG officers presented by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝, one of the commissioners, outlining the USSG Guidelines.

The program then proceeded with 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐄𝐧𝐫𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐋. 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬, he expressed his appreciation for the significant student participation from various academic departments and years. The campus director underscored the importance of student leadership and commended the former USSG officers for their commitment to enhancing campus operations. He also emphasized the importance of dedicated service to their fellow students over seeking authority.

𝐌𝐬. 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨, the former USSG president, an Independent Candidate standing for Auditor, is returning to serve for a second time. "𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧: 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐲𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞" is one of her primary platforms, which focuses on increasing access to feminine basics. She highlighted the importance of women's access to these necessities. Her inspiring statement is "𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞.”

𝐍𝐀𝐖𝐀 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭, under the leadership of 𝐌𝐬. 𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐲 𝐀𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫, who is a presidential candidate, introduced its party's primary platform, “𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐲" that is instilling discipline in waste management. Their focus is on fostering a culture of cleanliness among students within the school. Nawa Partylist is firmly committed to addressing and fulfilling the needs of the students. The president concluded this with a commendable sentiment “𝐖𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝.”

𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 led by 𝐌𝐫. 𝐄𝐝𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐆𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐉𝐫. as their president, highlights its “𝐓𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭” platform which aims to keep students updated on upcoming events that promote unity. These events are designed to improve personal growth and collective progress, offering benefits to the student community. The party's president powerfully states, “𝗡𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀" emphasizing their commitment to breaking barriers and achieving new goals.

The debate of each candidate showcased their ability to grasp current societal issues and their readiness to organize the campus. Each candidate delivered their well-articulate answers to pressing questions, demonstrating their understanding of pertinent matters and addressing each other's points thoughtfully but maintaining a positive tone. This collaborative spirit not only highlights their individual strengths but it also creates a mutual respect, clear view of their capabilities and potential for leadership.

After the successful conclusion of the event, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐣𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐃𝐅. 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐚𝐧, the coordinator of the Office of Student Development and Services (OSDS), expressed her appreciation to all the candidates and attendees for their efforts. She emphasized the importance of everyone's participation in the upcoming voting process scheduled for August 28, 2024. She urged everyone to carefully consider the candidates and choose those who they believe will contribute to the betterment of the campus.

The event echoed the values of “𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲, 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬” encapsulating its spirit.

Following the declaration by Cainta Municipal Mayor Elen Nieto that all face-to-face classes are suspended due to the rainfall brought by the southwest monsoon, a memorandum for the 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲-𝘁𝗼-𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝟭:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠 was 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 and issued 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 by our campus director, Prof. Enrique Villones.

While face-to-face classes are suspended, respective professors may give their learning activities to students asynchronously to ensure learning continuity.

The excitement continued on the second day of University Athletes Selection in Preparation for the upcoming Southern Tagalog Regional Association of State Universities and Colleges (STRASUC) competition, set to be held in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, from October 21 to 27, 2024. Students from various campuses of the University of Rizal System (URS) showcased their talents in Taekwondo, Badminton, and Basketball, all vying for a chance to represent the university on the regional stage.

𝐓𝐚𝐞𝐤𝐰𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐨: 𝐀 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞

The Taekwondo tryouts, held in front of the URS Morong Alumni Hall, saw participation from 18 students eager to prove their mettle. The selection process was rigorous, with each athlete demonstrating their skills in various aspects of Taekwondo, including forms, sparring, and breaking techniques.

Out of the 18 participants, 14 students qualified for the STRASUC competition, including three outstanding athletes from URS Cainta. Their impressive performances earned them a spot on the team, setting high expectations for the upcoming regional tournament.

𝐁𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐧: 𝐀 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧

The Badminton tryouts took place in the URS Morong Gymnasium, where competitors faced off against each other in intense matches. The selection process was straightforward: the winners of the matches earned their place in the STRASUC team.

Despite the fierce competition, only one student from URS Cainta participated in the tryouts. Unfortunately, they did not make the final cut, but the spirit of sportsmanship and determination was evident throughout the event.

𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥: 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲

The Basketball tryouts drew a large crowd, with many students eager to showcase their agility, speed, endurance, and overall basketball skills. The tryouts were divided into two phases: an initial assessment of individual abilities, followed by a competitive phase where the Final 20 players were selected to compete against each other.

The final selection saw the best players advancing, ready to represent URS in the STRASUC competition. The tryouts were intense, reflecting the high level of talent within the university, and the chosen athletes are expected to make a significant impact in the regional games.

𝐀 𝐆𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐀𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝

As the tryouts for the upcoming STRASUC competition continue, the level of talent and determination displayed by URS students has set a promising tone for the future. With a mix of seasoned athletes and rising stars, the university is poised to make a strong showing in Puerto Princesa City this October.

The tryouts have not only identified the best athletes to represent URS but have also fostered a sense of camaraderie and competitive spirit among the participants. As the STRASUC competition approaches, the selected athletes will continue to hone their skills, with the hopes of bringing pride and honor to the University of Rizal System.

The selection for the Volleyball Team of the University of Rizal System for the upcoming STRASUC Olympics happened on August 21, 2024 at URS Morong Gymnasium.

The URS Women's Volleyball Team, consisting of 14 players from various campuses, competed in a final line-up of varsity players after a stretching and warm-up routine. The athletes showcased their powerful spikes, service, and receiving skills.

Ms. Dylan Xyra Skyller H. Gongora from BSEd 1st Year of URS Cainta Campus showed her excellent coordination and agility and has been chosen as one of the varsity players for beach volleyball. Meanwhile, Ms. Riana Chylerk M. Reyes of BEED 2C was shortlisted and did not qualify.

The Men's Volleyball Team selection aims to select 14 qualified players. Cainta Campus sent four representatives, including Vincent Kharlo Leis from BTLED 4th year and Alpher Bola from BT Auto 1st year. The selection was challenging as each player demonstrated their strengths and qualities differently. Mr. Angelito Alvarez from BSEd 3rd Year and Mr. Nyro Jard Delona from BTLED 1st Year also participated in the selection.

A strategic game of Chess to become the representative of the University of Rizal System at the most anticipated STRASUC Olympics 2024 happened at URS Morong Library last August 21, 2024.

Headed by Mr. Jonathan Villegas and Mr. Froilan Clerigo, the game starts with 16 players from different campuses gathered together to execute their styles and techniques to win the 8 spots for chess varsity players. A total of 8 players in the Men's category and 8 players in the Women's category compete against each other. For the technical part, the selection consisted of 3 rounds, following the shuffle of players and boards per round. Each player was given 45 minutes to play, and the scoring followed by 1 point for win, 0.5 point for draw, and 0 point for loss.

The battle of the sharp minds begun as one of the players starts with the "𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐞"
opening of playing strategy. The selection wraps after 6 hours of intense exchange of calculated moves from each delegate. The following are the results for Men's Chess Selection:

The University of Rizal System prepared for the STRASUC Olympics 2024 through the selection of athletes at the URS Morong Campus last August 21, 2024. One of the sports for Day 1 of selection was Baseball, facilitated by Mr. Jeremmy Aterado and Mr. Paul Arago.

URS Cainta Campus sent two delegates for the Baseball selection: Mr. Clarence John Tagalog from BTLED 4th Year and Mr. Nahum Paul Secopito from BT Auto 1st Year. By the end of the selection, 18 players were shortlisted and carefully chosen based of their performances, which led to the final 14 selected athletes, including Mr. Clarence John Tagalog, who was also a former baseball varsity player last 2023.

On the same day, the selection for Lawn Tennis players happened at URS Tanay. Mr. Raiden Victor from BSIT 3rd Year was successfully chosen again to be part of the varsity team of the URS Giants. Mr. Victor represented our University at the last STRASUC Olympics 2022 and bagged a Bronze Medal for Lawn Tennis Men's Doubles Category.

The selected players will represent the University at Palawan State University on October 21-27, 2024 for the STRASUC Olympics as they compete with 12 State Colleges and Universities of Southern Tagalog Region.

Memorandum for class suspension is effective on August 20, 2024 due to volcanic smog from Taal Volcano activity. The memo was approved by our Campus Director as per the declaration of class suspension in the Municipality of Cainta, Rizal.

All face-to-face classes shall be conducted through synchronous or asynchronous modality for the safety of students, faculty, and staffs.

Smog can form when SO2 levels are high, which could have an impact on people's health. Be safe by staying indoors to reduce exposure to smog and keep your doors and windows closed or wearing a mask when going outside.

This was followed by the announcement of Prof. Ramil “Migs” Uminga about the “University Athletes Selection in Preparation for the STRASUC Olympics 2024," which will happen from August 21 to August 22, at 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at URS Morong.

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 listed below, please take 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀:

1. The Chronicler office is located on the 4th floor of the Academic Building.

2. The Chronicler Office is open starting at 12:00 NN on Monday and Friday for applicants and interviewees.

3. Interviews will be conducted by the adviser, Prof. Jameson C. Martinez, at 2:30 PM in The Chronicler Office.

4. Each interview will last 15 to 20 minutes.

5. The Chronicler will interview 10 applicants each day, starting on Monday, August 19th; and Tuesday, August 20th.

6. The screening process will take about a week, with the list of successful applicants posted on The Chronicler page.

7. Please bring all relevant documents (e.g., portfolio, write-ups) to support your application, as this will increase your chances of success during the interview.

1. To acquire your application form, go to The Chronicler Office at 12:00 NN to 1:00 PM on Monday to Friday.

3. You will be scheduled as a part of the screening process. The interview will be conducted by the Publication adviser, Prof. Jameson C. Martinez.

4. Every applicant will receive an email from The Chronicler in regards to the status of their application.

5. The screening process will take approximately one week, and the list of successful applicants will be posted on the Chronicler page.
