Ace really knew how to make people believe in Luffy.

While talking to Yamato about his younger brother, Ace listed everything Luffy had already accomplished and confidently said that he was capable of “turning the world upside down.” That statement stuck with Yamato and sparked her strong curiosity about Luffy.

I love how much Ace believed in his little brother. Even when Luffy wasn’t there, Ace was out there hyping him up like he already knew exactly how far he would go.

Gaban may have finally shown exactly why he was one of Roger’s most powerful and trusted men.

He brought Imu crashing to the ground and forced the ruler of the world to recognize him as a member of the Pirate King’s crew. His strength was so overwhelming that Imu was pushed into unveiling a terrifying new transformation—one powerful enough to take on both Gaban and Luffy.

And the craziest part?

Gaban did this in his old age.

Gaban scolding Luffy hits because he knows how strong Luffy should be.

Everyone can feel it from his Haki. Luffy is not some rookie anymore. He defeated Kaido, became a Yonko, awakened Gear 5, and now carries the weight of Roger’s expectations. That is exactly why Gaban looks so disappointed.

After Kaido, Luffy may have started feeling untouchable. He has been laughing and treating impossible fights like another adventure. But Imu showed him the truth immediately. Being a Yonko does not mean you are ready for the real monster sitting above the world.

Gaban is not just calling him weak to insult him. He is trying to wake him up. An old, injured man from Roger’s era should not have to protect the future Roger was waiting for. That is the shame Luffy needed to feel.

Yes, Luffy is only 19. But if he wants to stand at the top, he cannot keep fighting like a child.
