Estimated 14,000 premature babies born with ROP each year .about 1,100 to 1,500 (about 10 percent) develop disease severe enough to require medical treatment. About 400-600 infants become legally blind from ROP.

Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) is an eye disease that can happen in premature babies. It causes abnormal blood vessels to grow in the retina, and can lead to blindness.

Theo was diagnosed with ROP stage 5 at 7 months old. And during that time, it was too late for him to undergo eye laser therapy and fix the abnormal growth of blood vessels in his eyes.

Despite the pain of this heavy trial that we went through, we are still thankful and blessed for his life. We firmly believe that our Lord has a purpose and has the best plan for Theo. ❤️🙏 Praise God ☝️
