RiSci holds second earthquake drill for SY 2025 - 2026

The Rizal National Science High School (RNSHS) conducted its second earthquake drill for the school year of 2025 - 2026 on Thursday, September 11, at 3:30 PM.

The drill was facilitated by the RiSci Emergency Action Care and Health (REACH) Club and its subordinate Student Medics and Emergency Response Team (SMERT), observing RiScians' drop, cover, and hold maneuver, and escape to the quadrangle as a designated evacuation center.

Class officers, in cooperation with the SMERTs, responded to the routine, tallying headcounts and ensuring student safety.

The drill's main objective is to enhance RiScians' knowledge in relation to disasters, and strengthen preparedness in response to earthquakes.

RiSci journos dominate Binangonan SOPC; 60 out of 65 secure top 7

The official English and Filipino publications of Rizal National Science High School (RNSHS) — The Isotopes and Ang Aghamanon — brought victory home as the majority of RiScian journalists secured placements in the week-long Binangonan Sub-Office Press Conference (SOPC).

This was after the top seven for individual and top three for group categories were recognized at the awarding ceremony held on Friday at Binangonan Elementary School (BES).

From the 60 placers, 57 — 11 students in individual category and 49 for group — of which are set to represent the Binangonan Sub-Office in the upcoming Divisions Schools Press Conference (DSPC) 2025.

Binangonan commences SOPC 2025; RNSHS engage in journalistic fray
‎
The Binangonan Sub-Office Press Conference (SOPC) 2025 kicked off in the Binangonan Elementary School (BES) on Tuesday, September 2.

Equipped with the theme, “Binangonan INK: Inform, Nurture, Kindle”, the competition aims to uphold the value of campus journalism and back the municipality’s young journalists.

The endeavor will last a total of four days, from September 2 to 5, reaching its conclusion by Friday.

For its opportunities, campus journalists from Rizal National Science High School (RNSHS) have and will also be participating, engaging in both individual and group categories.

Other schools, ranging from elementary to high school and public to private, were also in attendance, prepared with delegates to send in the journalistic fray.

According to the press conference’s memorandum — Department of Education (DepEd) Binangonan District Memorandum (DM) no. 5, series of 2025 — the first to fifth placer of individual categories will be recognized, while it would only be the first for groups.

LOOK | RNSHS holds Measles, Tetanus vaccination seminar for G7 students

With the help of the Department of Health (DOH) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Binangonan, Rizal National Science High School (RNSHS) participated in the “Bakuna Eskwela” program, aiming to vaccinate Grade 7 students from Measles-Rubella (MR) and Tetanus-Diphtheria (Td).

The seminar was led by RNSHS Principal Lyndel David and Grade 7 Adviser Nicka Makayan.

The parents of grade seven students attended the seminar, with Nurse Rosetti Pandac and Midwife Arvin Manulit serving as guest speakers informing them of the program's benefits and effects.

Measles-Rubella are contagious viral diseases causing fever and rash while Tetanus-Diphtheria are bacterial infections that may lead to muscle stiffness and breathing problems.

The program is not mandatory, albeit the parents were still advised to participate.

𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡 | Medals poured in for the Risay Arnisadors after the recently concluded Municipal Meet held today, August 16 in Mahabang Parang Elementary School. The team bagged 15 Bronze Medals, 15 Silver Medals, and, for the first time in its history, 4 Gold Medals—courtesy of Ericka Pangilinan, Latrell Galagate, Chris Rollon, and back-to-back gold medalist Christiana Plata.

This remarkable success would not have been possible without the efforts of their teammates—Timothy Gutierrez, Derrell Caramat, Ram Membrebe, Zyrell Matutis, Ava Leses, and Ashlie Wilth—who also contributed to this historic achievement.

Spartan Splashers of Rizal National Science High School (RNSHS) are making waves today at the 2025 Binangonan Municipal Meet, dominating both individual and relay categories in the ongoing 72-event swimming competition at 1489 Cableway Resort, Calumpang, Binangonan, Rizal. Leading the charge are the RiScian Prides: Leana Gamez, Jan Margareth Cagampang, Leonard Vite, Andrei Ishmael Rivera, Eliana Cedo, Andrei Aller, Renz Basco, Maurielle Candelaria, Keiko Barruga, Cera Reyes, and Samya Gomez.
