By Jett De Jesus
This year’s annual celebration of World Mental Health Day succeeded in its aim to spread awareness among the students of the University of Perpetual Help System Laguna last October 11, 2018. The Psychology students of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) held various events campus-wide regarding issues tackling the importance of mental health.
The said celebration includes Pet Therapy, Yoga and Massage Therapy, Catharsis, Interactive Gallery, and a Talk Show; each showcasing different aspects commonly, if not more or less, used to spread awareness with regards to mental health.
The event concluded with a celebration of music with performing bands, China Band, and Connected Atmosphere as the highly anticipated performance of the night, featuring their songs, “Tomorrowland,” and “Outer Space.” The night’s musical conclusion also featured acoustic performances from freshman CAS students.
Included in the night’s ceremony also announced the Senior year, section B’s “WMHD Talk Show” event as the World Mental Health Day celebration’s best event; followed by the Senior year, section A’s Pet Therapy.
