This novel initiative, a sister school of Kalumboyan National High School (KNHS), is part of a pilot program in Region VII, joining forces with Banaybanay NHS and Minaba NHS to integrate agricultural education into the curriculum.

Distinguished guests present at the event included Dr. Anelito A. Bongcawil, SDS of Bayawan City, Dr. Christopher U. Bantog, EPS (Education Program Supervisor), Mrs. Marites Magdasal, EPS in TLE, Mr. Argie A. Pinanonang, EPS and former School Principal of KNHS, and Dr. Addam T. Estose, PSDS of District 7.

Various EPS, PSDS, Division Personnel, City Council members, and representatives from the Department of Agriculture were also in attendance.

Among the noteworthy City Council attendees were Hon. Henry Carreon, Jr, City Vice Mayor, City Counselors, Hon. Rusmar Tijing, Hon. Rolando Abrasaldo, Hon. Luis Sumalpong, and Hon. Mark Fidencio Aurelia, while Engr. Kenneth Artes, Agriculturist, represented the City Agriculture Office.

The establishment of the Rural Farm School was made possible through collaboration with key partners, including Mrs. Evangeline Cadapan and Mr. Michael Cadapan, owners of the Land School Farm Site, Mr. Luis Magsipoc, Kagawad Pedrito Langga, Jr, Mr. Glowel Cadapan, Kagawad Jessie Reyes, and Dr. Sergio Avestruz III with a farm partnership.

Brgy. Council members Kagawad Geraldine Magno, Kagawad Melbon Cadapan, and Kagawad Mary Ann Lamis also graced the event, reflecting local community support.

Speakers at the launch included Mr. Pinanonang for Opening Remarks, Dr. Bongcawil providing the Rationale, Hon. Tijing delivering a meaningful message, and Mrs. Magdasal acknowledging everyones effort for the success of the event.

Mr. Glowel Cadapan, Teacher-in-Charge for the Rural Farm School, Mr. Anastacio Hisona, HPTA President, KNHS Faculty and Staff, parents, and a total of 94 enrolled students in the Farm School were present to witness this historic event.

DUHAT CJs partake in Journalism Exhibit

Campus Journalists (CJs) of DUHAT, the Official School Publication of Kalumboyan National High School (KNHS), eagerly participated in the 2023 Division Exhibition of Skills in Campus Journalism held at Pure Gold Mall, Bayawan on Wednesday, December 6.

The event, centered around the theme "From Campus Journalism to Real World Journalism: Shaping Minds from School to Societies," aimed to further develop and enhance journalistic skills among the youth in the Bayawan Division.

This activity not only served as a platform for showcasing individual talents but also provided a collaborative space for young journalists to learn from one another.

Under the guidance of School Paper Adviser Chonally L. Osuyos, the DUHAT team, consisting of ten talented campus journalists, including Ma. Abigail Abaquita, Kent James Valde, Dezerie Damayon, Sheena Dexy Reyes, Aiza Brandia, Mecar Kadusale, Camille Cadapan, Reyman Ibarreta Jr., Jenica Adlawan, and Merlino Cabalida, showcased their writing and broadcasting prowess.

With the official school publication at the forefront, DUHAT's participation emphasized the commitment of KNHS to nurturing the next generation of journalists.

Kalumboyan NHS joins forces with DepEd in a Simultaneous Tree-Planting Project for a Greener Christmas

In a bid to celebrate Christmas with a green touch, Kalumboyan National High School (KNHS) has joined hands with the Department of Education (DepEd) in a Simultaneous Tree Planting Project right at the school's campus, aiming to plant 236,000 trees as a special Christmas gift for the children, Wednesday, December 6.

This initiative reflects a commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement, fostering a greener and more vibrant future.

The Barangay Council, under the leadership of Hon. Eddie Sumadia, and Education Committee Chair Kagawad Mary Ann Lamis, actively participated in this impactful endeavor.

Together, they strive to gift the community, especially the children, with a sustainable and eco-friendly Christmas.

KNHS Table Tennis Titans Triumph at Division Sports Meet 2023

In an electrifying showcase of skill and determination, KNHS promising table tennis stars seized the spotlight with 3 Silvers and 2 Bronze Medals in the Division Sports Meet 2023 at Bayawan National High School, Thursday, November 30.

Alliyah Claire Legaje and Trishan Villegas slammed their way to SILVER victories in Girls Singles A and B, highlighting their unmatched prowess.

The powerhouse pairing of Faith Nicole C. Homento and Elgen Mae D. Magsipoc rallied to a SILVER in Girls Doubles, showcasing seamless coordination.

In the Boys' Category, France Raphael Sumadia smashed his way to a BRONZE in Boys Singles B.

While, the dynamic duo Fhrynd Louise Fabon and John Erick Escala fiercely claimed a BRONZE in Boys Doubles, solidifying KNHS's dominance.

The excitement in Barangay Kalumboyan is palpable as the District Seven Sports Meet 2023 officially kicked off with a parade and opening program held at the Kalumboyan Gymnasium, Tuesday, November 7, 2023.

This two-day sports extravaganza, anchored on the theme "Promoting Sports for Skills and Development, Discovering Potentials, and Inculcating Values in Sports," has brought together athletes, coaches, and school administrators from District Seven.

Participating schools in this spirited sports event include Baisan, Kalumboyan, Damig, Cogon, Kalumpang, Lunoy, Uban-Uban, and Kalumboyan elementary schools, along with Kalumboyan National High School and Kalamtukan National High School.

As a symbol of peace and unity, Boxing Player Ryan Doromal lit the friendship urn, signifying solidarity among participants. Arnis Player Althea Shane Diolaso recited the Oath of Amateurism, reaffirming the commitment to fair play and ethical conduct and Mr. Jayson M. Regalado delivered the Oath of the Technical Officials, underlining the importance of professionalism in officiating.

Dr. Addam T. Estose, the Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) of District Seven, stressed the values of sportsmanship and discipline in her opening remarks, setting the tone for the event. She emphasized the role of sports in character development and the growth of young athletes.

Barangay Kagawad Stephen Mondia also delivered an inspirational message, highlighting the importance of discipline among the athletes. "Dapat disiplinado ang mga athletes," he emphasized, emphasizing the need for athletes to uphold discipline in their pursuit of excellence.

After the program, different sports activities began, and the winners will be the representatives for the Division Sports Meet.

Congratulations to Kalumboyan National High School's Science Fair Achievers!✨🏆👏

We're thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Kalumboyan National High School (KNHS) students at the Division Science and Technology Fair 2023.Their outstanding performance in three distinct categories exemplifies the spirit of innovation and scientific excellence.

Rex Earl S. Radones and Dezerie D. Damayon secured 3rd place in the Science Innovation Expo with their "GASENE FUELED-STOVE."

In the TUKLAS: Science Investigatory Project (SIP) category, Edmar M. Magalay, Reyman C. Ibarreta Jr., and Ma. Abigail F. Abaquita earned the "Best Poster" award for their research on "The Efficacy of Improvised Condenser in Distilling Water."

Meanwhile, "Siyensikula" team also made a lasting impression. Jenica Adlawan, alongside video editors Jhun Ian Maguad and Reyman C. Ibarreta Jr., presented a captivating perspective on science through the art of storytelling.
