When we acknowledge that is is only thru Gracious Divine Intervention that we who believe are set free from the penalty and power of sin, it moves us to a humble gratitude before God and a deep awe and reverence for Him - that we put off any fantasy of self-autonomy, but yield to our Redeemer our loyalty, our trust, and our obedience. FOR THE GLORY OF THE ONE WHO DIED TO PAY FOR OUR SINS!

*Another and a more common word for chasten or chastening is DISCIPLINE.

Oh to receive such blessing of salvation so much as confirms God's intimate ownership of us as our Father and evidences our sonship with regards to Him!

God reigns over the nations; God is seated on His holy throne (Psalm 47:8).

No matter what the outcome of the election is, we can have peace in the truth that whoever will be elected, that person‘s heart is in the hand of the Lord, He will be the one to direct it like a watercourse wherever He pleases (Proverbs 21:1). For many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand (Prov. 19:21). He has established His throne in the heavens, and His sovereignty rules over all (Psalm 103:19).

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, it says in your word that you promise to generously give wisdom to those who ask. Right now, we are asking in faith for wisdom to help us with our decisions, that we will be good stewards of our vote this elections. Open our hearts and our minds to see what we cannot see. May your peace reign in our hearts and may we choose to do what pleases you.

All these we ask, in the name of Jesus.
