Dr. Egdona G. Bio recently participated in the 31st Accounting Teachers' Conference held at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) from June 13-15, 2024. Themed "Beyond LECPA: Redefining the Roles of Accounting Teachers in Sustaining the Accounting Profession," the event featured esteemed speakers, including Hon. Noe G. Quiñanola, Chair of the PRC BOA, Atty. Josefe C. Sorrera-Ty, Dr. Rolando Lansigan, Mr. Allan W. Ocho, CPA, and Prof. Florenz C. Tugas, PhD. The conference focused on the evolving responsibilities of accounting educators in nurturing and advancing the profession.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞| Divine Word College of Bangued Hosts Recollection for Graduating Students

Today, the Divine Word College of Bangued Campus Ministry Office, under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Yakubos Sanbiko, SVD, hosted a heartfelt recollection for graduating students at the DWCB Gymnasium.

The event, held on May 14, 2024, welcomed two esteemed retreat masters, Fr. Cirilo Ortega, SVD, and Fr. Liberato Ortega. With wisdom and grace, they guided the graduating class through a reflective journey, imparting valuable insights and spiritual nourishment.

Students were provided with a sacred space to contemplate their academic journey, celebrate achievements, and prepare for the next chapter of their lives. The recollection offered moments of introspection, prayer, and fellowship, fostering a sense of unity and gratitude among attendees.

Palcon, PhD, Dean of the Graduate School, together with the Master in Management and Master in Business Administration students under the supervision of their professor, Gerardo Palcon, PhD, organized an enriching Interactive Forum on Stress Management. Held on May 11, 2024, at the DWCB Auditorium, the event garnered enthusiastic participation from Graduate School students eager to delve into the nuances of stress management and its impact on professional life.

The forum, aptly themed "Interactive Forum on Stress Management: Unleashing Creativity and Decision-Making in the Workplace," aimed to explore innovative strategies for effectively managing stress while fostering creativity and sound decision-making skills among participants.

Two distinguished speakers graced the occasion, offering invaluable insights into various facets of stress management, first was, Mrs. Rizza Joy T. Cabunot, MAGC, RPm, RGC, an esteemed expert in psychology, delivered an illuminating presentation on the nature, causes, and consequences of stress. With a deep understanding of human behavior and mental health, Mrs. Cabunot dissected the intricacies of stress, empowering attendees to identify stressors, mitigate their effects, and cultivate resilience in the face of adversity.

Ms. Leila Alagao, MAGC, RPm, RGC, a seasoned counselor, complemented the discourse with her expertise in stress management techniques geared towards enhancing creativity and decision-making abilities in professional settings. Drawing from her wealth of experience, Ms. Alagao provided practical tips and strategies to harness creativity amidst stress, emphasizing the pivotal role of emotional well-being in driving innovation and productivity in the workplace.

The forum served as a platform for vibrant discussions, interactive sessions, and knowledge exchange, fostering a conducive environment for personal and professional growth. On April 05, 2024, the whole DWCB community gathered celebrating the first friday mass for the month of April officiated by Rev. Fr. Edgar Calunod, SVD, PhD, Fr. Yakobus Sanbiko, SVD, and Fr. John Bala, SVD held at the Gymnasium. After the mass, the April celebrants were blessed by the whole community, followed by the blessing of the UP Namnama participants.

Early in the morning, Mary Magdalene, a friend and follower of Jesus, comes to the tomb to care for Jesus Christ’s body. To her astonishment, she finds the tomb empty. But she is not alone. A man addresses her — a gardener, she supposes. But then He says her name: “Mary.” And she sees. He is Jesus. The Christ lives. The knowledge is too wonderful to contain. Her faith propels her into a joyous sprint as she runs to tell the others. It’s a testimony that still propels people today. You can know just as she did that Jesus Christ lives, and because of Him, all will live again. If we follow Christ, we can find true happiness on earth and eternal life in the presence of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father in the world to come.
