Jay R. Sagario finds deep honor in being an Agriculturist, it signifies his commitment and dedication. Proficiency in scientific principles across fieldwork and laboratory environments, encompassing the complexities of plant species, animal varieties, insect nuisances, and diseases, showcases the rigorous demands of this occupation.

Starting as an Agricultural Extension Worker (AEW), Jay navigated initial challenges interacting with diverse personalities in offices like the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAG), Municipal Agriculturist (OMAG), and farmers alike. Despite facing initial challenges, Jay derives deep satisfaction from traveling to different regions and disseminating cutting-edge agricultural technologies that enhance farming methods and improve livelihoods. However, this role is as rewarding as it is demanding. Traveling to different locales not only broadened Jay's horizons but also provided invaluable opportunities to introduce innovative agricultural technologies that promise to revolutionize farming practices and uplift rural livelihoods.

Jay's journey into agriculture wasn't immediate, the path was fraught with moments of uncertainty and the temptation to falter, yet today, there are no regrets. Through perseverance and commitment, Jay earned a master's degree in Entomology and currently pursues a PhD in Rural Development, leveraging these achievements to benefit the agricultural sector.

"𝑰𝒔𝒏'𝒕 𝒊𝒕 𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕? 𝑯𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑨𝒈𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒔 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒐 𝒂𝒍𝒍!"

Reflecting on this path, Jay advises the younger generation to consider a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture—a field rich with opportunities for growth and contribution highlighting its potential as one of the most fulfilling professions. With genuine sincerity, one can aspire to influential roles such as Secretary of Agriculture or esteemed positions in Crop Science, Crop Protection, or Animal Science.

During this Philippine Agriculturists' Month, Jay R. Sagario sends warm wishes to all. His journey serves as a poignant reminder of the transformative power of dedication and the limitless potential inherent in the pursuit of agricultural excellence.
